This is a depressing tragedy. And yet, despite the crushing helplessness and despair the main characters still continue on living.
Basically the premise is that humanity will vanish after a number of days because of external events. Imagine the Armageddon being announced in advance. And so the main characters tried to survive in the ensuring chaos the happens, trying to find a way to survive.
What will happen with those humans who cling onto the law and societal norms if there is no one enforcing then? What will those who trample on others and those who are trampled do?
Is it well written? Well, is definitely unique among the stories on pandaMTL. It’s less on the horny and more on the violent side.
There are several characters whose demise I cheered on despite knowing that I shouldn’t do so. And if you are worried about the few main characters, there is a happy ending for them.
I personally can see why someone wouldn’t want to read this story, but if you can bear with the depression, give it a shot.
My final rating would be 6-7/10.
Summed up in a word…perplexing. The development of its world remains elusive, characters lack allure, the plot generates moderate suspense yet consistently falters—resulting in exasperation for the reader. The sole redeeming quality lies in its prose. I never envisaged reading beyond 50 chapters, yet therein lies the novel’s forte. Regrettably, it falters beyond that juncture
