Chapter 3 – Dr. Aime (3)
One.
The doctor looked at me with his eyes wide open and his mouth half open as if he was really surprised.
It was so rare that even I, who often interacted with the doctor, hadn’t seen it a few times in the 2 years I was active in this guild.
After clearing her throat a couple of times, I called her and brought her back to her senses.
“…Doctor?”
“Uh, huh? Ah yes. Uh, how far have you been talking? That, yes The rabbit even said that S-class awakeners liked him and pretended to hypnotize him. Yes. Okay.”
At my call, the doctor erased the blank expression from his face and spoke nonsense uncharacteristically for a doctor.
It was a human side of the doctor I hadn’t seen in a very long time, so I looked at it carefully as if I was watching something unusual.
I think this is because of a joke I made. Well, even if I was in the position of a doctor, it was such a dumb thing to say.
All of the S-class awakeners I used the fake hypnosis app for were arrogant bitches who thought they were the best, except for one.
Of course, in all respects, they were people who deserved to be said to be the best. But even so, it was never right to treat someone less capable than oneself as a slave or trash.
Those bitches were bitches with bad personalities.
How much of a fuck is that, those bitches say that even being called by their first names is unpleasant for guys like me and telling them to call themselves by their full names isn’t enough, so when calling other women by their full names, calling them by their first names is not enough for guys like you. They also say that they feel shame sexually, or at the end of their words, ‘So you’re only that much. Trash clinging to a woman’s leg like a dog in heat and mounting it.’
To that extent, those bitches were fucking lovers.
Bitches who treat me as less than human, a horned dog, like me? It was literally just a joke. That’s a very bad joke.
Even the doctor was so surprised that I said everything.
The doctor, perhaps feeling the lingering aftertaste of surprise, once again muttered in a low, inaudible voice with a dazed expression on his face.
“Oh my God, it’s like stepping on a rat while stepping backwards from a cow, and even though it’s half, I never thought a rabbit would say the correct answer. I didn’t know that I would be so surprised that I couldn’t control my expression even in this state…”
“Yes? Doctor, what did you just say?”
“Oh, no. No it’s a rabbit didn’t say anything you do not need to focus on this.”
There’s no way he didn’t say anything, but I decided to just assume he didn’t say anything. Most of the doctor’s murmurs were because they contained things I couldn’t understand with my head.
“Okay.”
I nodded and looked at the doctor, who still had a surprised face.
No, but is it so surprising that he made a joke? Oh, are you mistaken that I’m really thinking that way?
If that’s the case, it makes sense for the doctor to be so surprised. Usually, if this kind of misunderstanding is not resolved right away, it becomes an unbearable snowball later and returns karma to me like a boomerang.
I didn’t know what would happen, but I knew intuitively that something terrible would happen anyway, so I opened my mouth to clear up the doctor’s possible misunderstanding.
“Well, I was just joking. If you take it seriously again, I feel awkward.”
“Uh, huh? Joke? That’s a joke. I knew. Yes. There’s no way a rabbit would be sane enough to say such a thing unless it’s a joke.”
The doctor was still talking gibberish, but he immediately returned to his usual expressionless expression, as if my words had cleared up the misunderstanding.
Then, looking at me with unusually eager eyes disguised as languid eyes, I asked a serious question.
“So, why do you think the rabbit pretended to be hypnotized by S-class awakeners? Don’t joke this time, tell me.”
After the unreasonable answer of the placebo effect, the question was asked back with a question. I asked first, but I was a little annoyed that he was trying to subtly evade the answer.
I don’t know what to say about not answering a question with a question.
Showing dissatisfaction by slightly frowning, I grumbled.
“Did I ask you first? Why do you keep avoiding the answer?”
“Rabbit doesn’t know yet. Originally, when you ask this kind of question, you say your thoughts first. An answer you came up with, not influenced by the opinions of others.”
“What is that?”
As I deepened the wrinkles between my eyebrows at the meaningless sound, the doctor maintained an expressionless expression and added an explanation that would make me understand.
“It’s a rabbit. I’m a great person. And words spoken by great people have power. People’s thoughts and opinions are bound to be influenced somehow the moment they hear me. So when you ask a question about an unanswered question like the question you just asked, it makes sense to first give your pure opinion.”
As she listened to the doctor’s unprofessional friendly explanation, she knew exactly what she wanted to say.
Roughly summed up, ‘If I hear the doctor’s answer, the doctor’s answer will remain in my head from then on, so I have no choice but to be influenced somehow. So, it is right to come up with an answer that is not influenced by the doctor first.”
“Certainly, that is correct. Thanks for the explanation.”
“Okay, so what do rabbits think?”
Having fully understood me, the Dr. Once again asked for my opinion. Now I was able to come up with an answer first without complaint.
Just because I answered first didn’t mean the doctor wouldn’t answer me.
I thought for a moment. In fact, after hearing the nonsensical word of the placebo effect, I threw a joke that didn’t work the same way, and there was a highly probable answer that suddenly flashed through my mind.
At least among the answers I could think of, it was the most obvious answer. It was an answer that was so credible that even the doctor would say it was very close to the correct answer or the correct answer itself.
The more I think about it, the more I think this is the only answer. Yes, i’m sure It’s a reason that normal people can’t imagine, but it’s plausible enough for those crazy bitches who can’t eat me.
After I finished organizing my thoughts, I smiled confidently at the doctor and opened my mouth.
“Doctor, I think this is the only answer. Even the doctor will be surprised to hear it. The moment you hear this answer, you won’t have to bring out the answer you thought. Because? Because this is the correct answer…!”
“···Gulp.”
Seeing my confident appearance, the doctor swallowed dryly as if nervous. It seemed like I was seeing a lot of the doctor’s human side today.
“Then, take out the answer you thought of, rabbit.”
I gave the perfect answer with a smile full of confidence to the doctor, who was urging for an answer with his breathing becoming rough due to nervousness.
“The reason those women pretended to be put on this ridiculous fake hypnosis app is…!”
“Bar, right…?”
“It’s for #MeToo!”
“······What?”
“It’s not normal for them to hold on for more than half a year just to bury me, but I know it’s possible with their madness. There is no doubt that they are trying to bury me socially through #MeToo!”
No matter how talented I was at running away, I couldn’t run away if there was nowhere to run.
So those bitches who hate me terribly know that it’s annoying to physically get rid of me, and use my social status as an S-class Awakener, of which there are only a few dozen in the world, to socially obliterate me by revealing that I’ve suffered embarrassing things to say about me. I would have thought to do it.
In order to bury me with real certainty, all the female S-class Awakeners of the Liars Trap gathered, and at the end of a conspiracy, they agreed to pretend to be hooked on a fake hypnosis app.
Do you usually do that? You may want to, but those crazy bitches can do that. I knew that fact better than anyone else in this guild.
After hearing my perfect answer, the doctor stared blankly at me with a bigger, dumbfounded face than when he heard the ridiculous joke earlier.
I pointed my finger at the doctor and interrogated her like a prosecutor trying to uncover her guilt.
“And! If this perfect answer is correct, the doctor who handed me the fake hypnosis app will also be an accomplice.”
“What?”
As if he was stumped by the word accomplice, the doctor trembled with his body. It seemed that he was afraid that his sins would be revealed.
After questioning her right now and letting her surrender, it could be an option to tremble and get angry at her sense of betrayal.
But I received too much from Dr. So she decided to give her a chance.
I lowered the rope to the doctor, who seemed to be thinking about what to say to puncture my perfect answer and rid her of her sin.
“Doctor, but I don’t think you seriously hit me in the back of the head. Are you intimidated? To them.”
If the doctor is right here, then the truth is that they really pretended to be hypnotized to kill me socially.
Up until now, it had been in a state of, “There is a 99.9% chance of that, but it is 0.1% uncertain.” It was real, fuck!”
I waited for the doctor’s words while feeling the beating of my heart. The doctor opened her mouth, her pupils quivering in embarrassment.
“Uh huh? Threat···? Uh, yes, it’s a rabbit. I was threatened. If I don’t listen to their demands, they’ll destroy the lab where I’ve been working all my life.”
The doctor paused at the rope I had dropped her off, but immediately, with her characteristic quick brain, she decided that this was her chance to atone for her sins, and grabbed her rope.
To hold a rope means to be plucked.
Crazy bitches… Did you really do that? Fuck I’m getting goosebumps
Rather than getting goosebumps, it was more important to sort out the current situation.
If you grab the rope, it’s your job to pull it up.
I smiled at the doctor who had two letters written on his rotten eyes and said, “Fortunate,” And then started acting awkwardly.
“Also···! Demons in human clothing. Threatening a powerless doctor to make his hands dirty…!”
Vocalization, facial expression, and tone were all stiff, so the acting was so poor, but it didn’t matter because it was a formality anyway.
The CCTV in the doctor’s lab only had to film this scene.
“Huh, I understand first, Doctor. That the doctor is on my side.”
“Uh? Uh uh yes it’s a rabbit I’m always on your side You say it right.”
The doctor held my outstretched hand, and this gave me a strong backing as a doctor.
Compared to the S-class crazy bitches who sincerely tried to kill me socially, even if it was a little lacking, it was much better than nothing.
“Ha, what on earth can I do to make a rabbit come up with an idea like this? It’s really great. In many ways…”
I opened my mouth as I saw the doctor muttering something in a voice so low that I couldn’t hear him and smiling dejectedly.
“Then, Doctor, I will find colleagues to stand up to the bitches who are trying to kill me socially. Please support me.”
“Uh? Oh yeah go Today’s rabbit was pretty good.”
Tired of the many things that happened in a short period of time, the doctor weakly beckoned me to go. After saying hello to the doctor, I left the lab.
After coming out of the guild office, I was walking the streets at night and thinking about how to deal with the future.
Okay. Because I knew first that they were trying to kill me. I will do my best to prepare to prevent social annihilation.
And I sent a text message to the only female S-class Awakener in the Liars Trap who treated me as a human being.
– Good night?
