## Chapter 379 – A Color From Space
I watched the women bathing in the valley as the sun began to set. Cloudi made eye contact and waved.
I’d taken out towels and underwear for them to use after they finished washing, but these women’s underwear were something else.
Cloudi had a lot of panties that were practically nonexistent, and Winnia’s bras looked like they could be worn as beanies without raising any eyebrows.
I like it a lot.
Of course, I didn’t forget Alaune. This vibrant, ominous flower still looked plump and beautiful. It had grown a lot since I first picked it.
Should I feed it now?
It’s already throbbing, so it would probably like it… but even though I feel a little weird about it, it’s part of my routine, so I shouldn’t skip it.
I immediately dropped my pants and started shaking my stiff member. Cloudi noticed and struck a pose from over there, blowing me a kiss.
“Ah! Mama!”
This is too good, deja vu!!!
Seeing that, Winnia splashed water at Cloudi. I also sprayed my semen all over Alaune.
Grow up nice and pretty, Alaune.
“Hey, Blackie! Towel!”
“Here.”
I handed towels to the women as they came out of the water.
This actually feels like a real trip.
“Phew, I thought you were suddenly jerking off, but you were just feeding Alaune. Good job. I don’t know what we’re going to do with it yet, but we need to take good care of it.”
“Of course. Trust me.”
All the effort I have to put in is watering it and jerking off.
“Yeah, Blackie’s dick is really trustworthy.”
“Bloop bloop.”
“You wanna talk shit, Blackie?”
“Dick talk.”
“You’re dead, seriously.”
“Agh.”
I got hit.
“Katt, feeling refreshed?”
“Hehehe, thanks to you. I really liked the kiss.”
“Hehe.”
Cloudi said as she dried herself. Even that looks so lewd. As expected, Cloudi is porn itself. I rubbed the back of my head where Winnia hit me and admired the sight.
“Then, shall we do it outside for the first time in a while?”
“No, no matter what, doing it outside is a bit…”
Such a mean Mama.
“Blackie, don’t get any funny ideas and go wash up. What are you, an animal, trying to do it outside?”
“What about the tent?”
“Hmm… I guess that would be okay. But it’s not safe. You have to hold back too, sis.”
When Cloudi said that to Winnia, Winnia seemed to think for a moment before coming to a conclusion. She’d be excited to do it in a lodge, but doing it while sleeping outside is a bit much.
Anyway, I should wash up too.
I immediately took off my gear and clothes and went into the water.
—Splash.
“Oh, shit, it’s fucking cold.”
A chill swept over me.
I washed my body while basking in the sunset. Even if there wasn’t a valley, it’s good to wash up if I have the chance.
Because if I’m going on a long march like this, I don’t know when I’ll be able to wash again.
Keeping that in mind, I diligently scrubbed my skin, washed my body, and came out to have the women attend to me as I dried myself and put on my clothes.
—Fwoosh.
Then, we sat around the campfire to warm ourselves. Maybe it’s because I came out of the cold water, but the warmth felt so nice.
I feel sleepy like this.
“It’s chilly since we’re near the valley.”
The sun had completely set.
The night wasn’t that cold, but it felt a bit chilly since we were near the valley. That’s probably why the campfire felt even warmer.
“We should be grilling meat at a time like this.”
“I know, right. Blackie, go hunt something.”
“Let’s just have jerky.”
I heated up the jerky over the fire as usual and chewed on it. The women sitting on either side of me leaned their heads on me.
“Feels like we’re on a trip, huh?”
Cloudi said, chewing on jerky.
Just like she said, we were just on our way to work, accompanied by Queres, not carrying any luggage, and setting up a tent in a valley, but it felt like we were playing.
“It kinda does. When we went to the sea last time, we were just in the carriage, so it was boring on the way. Well, when we actually arrived, it was a mess, though.”
“Hehe, those crazy fish-men bastards.”
Winnia still seemed to have a lot of regrets about that incident. Well, it was fun when we were playing in the sea, though. It immediately turned to shit because of the fish-men.
But what was that undersea prince?
I have no way of knowing right now.
We ate and warmed ourselves by the campfire while talking about this and that. I really want some meat. I also kinda want some ramen, even though I don’t even remember what it tastes like anymore.
“Let’s go inside and sleep now.”
“What about Blackie’s night watch?”
“Decide however you want.”
“Then Blackie goes first. I’m going to take a nap.”
I brushed my teeth and decided on the night watch schedule.
I’m up first, then Winnia, and Cloudi is last. I said good night, and the two women took off their shoes and went inside the tent.
It looks like there’s enough room for the two of them to sleep.
“Ugh, the floor is cold.”
“Hug Winnia and sleep.”
It would be nice to have a waterproof sheet or something.
All that was laid on the floor was the tent’s fabric, a cloak, and an old blanket. I gave the women lying on top of it another blanket. Soon, they made squealing noises as they covered themselves with the blanket.
I put on my gear and sat right in front of the tent.
Even if I take off my gear and just wear my clothes when I sleep, I have to wear it while on duty.
The night deepens.
—Gwaek.
The tied-up Queres is also sleeping well.
—Twinkle.
When I looked up at the sky, sure enough, there were quite a few shooting stars.
Some of them shone intensely for a moment before disappearing. It seems like meteorites are definitely falling nearby.
* * *
In that way, we diligently moved toward the place where the meteorites were said to have fallen intensively.
We continued to travel along mountain paths and valley roads, and there were occasional monster attacks, but it wasn’t particularly difficult since we weren’t carrying any luggage.
Eventually, on the third day of our journey, we reached a place called the Misty Plains.
Winnia said that after looking at the map, so it must be right.
“But what kind of place is this?”
“I don’t really know. I’ve never been here, and I’m not interested in it. We could have taken a different route, but I just thought this would be faster. According to the map, it looks like we’ll arrive if we go straight for about two days from here.”
“I see.”
Winnia explained skillfully when I asked. I have faith in her. But the fog seems to be quite thick, befitting the name Misty Plains.
It’s very dense.
And even though it’s called a plain, there are large trees and moss-covered boulders everywhere. The terrain is also uneven in some parts.
It’s called a plain, but isn’t it just a forest where the road is a little flat and open?
“Hmm, but the fog is a little… no, it seems really bad. Will we be okay?”
It’s so thick that even Cloudi said that. I didn’t notice it when we first entered, but I could feel the fog getting thicker as we went deeper.
We realized that around lunchtime after starting early in the morning.
“It seems like it’s called the Misty Plains because there’s a lot of fog. Winnia, what should we do? Should we keep going? Or should we turn back?”
“Hmm, what should we do? Sis, should we just take a detour? That might add two or three days.”
“Two or three days… I think it’s better to just go.”
It’s better to just go than to take a detour and add two or three days.
“Then let’s do that. Okay, Blackie, let’s go.”
“Alright.”
How bad can the fog be?
Judging from the fact that it hasn’t rained recently, it must be a temporary phenomenon. It’s not like we can’t tell the difference between front and back, so it should be okay to move.
—Gwaek.
“Are you giving your opinion too?”
Queres gave a positive answer.
And so, we crossed the foggy plains.
It’s a little chilly, so the temperature seems a bit low here. I’ll have to hug tight inside the tent again tonight.
And surprisingly, we would come to regret this decision two days later.
“Fuck.”
“Fuck.”
“Did we get lost?”
The fog got even thicker, making it impossible to get our bearings. I never thought it would get this bad.
And there were so many monsters that I don’t know where they came from.
We were constantly attacked by drake subspecies and various beast-type monsters as we moved. It was very difficult to fight while making sure the startled Queres didn’t run wild.
Thanks to that, we got some meat, but it was quite tiring since monsters were appearing when we seemed to have lost our way.
“What should we do, damn it. Are we not going to be able to get out of here?”
I suddenly remembered the movie “The Mist” that I saw when I was young.
It’s about how the fog is so thick that you can’t see an inch in front of you. The protagonist who was rescued by the U.S. military and wailed at the end was a very impressive movie.
“Blackie, what should we do… Sis, don’t you have any desert-specific ways to find the way?”
“This isn’t a desert, so I don’t really know.”
“Oh.”
In the end, the journey got a little longer.
“Well, we’ll get out if we keep going. Don’t worry. We have enough food, lots of clothes, and a tent, so what’s there to worry about? There were streams in the middle too.”
The conditions themselves were good, so there didn’t seem to be anything to worry about.
“That’s true, but I’m worried that we won’t even get to see the meteorites if this keeps up.”
“That could happen. The world isn’t all good things. We can just go a little slower. The other guys will be similar.”
It’s a shame, but it’s better than Winnia being anxious. I grabbed her shoulder and said that to reassure her.
“I guess this is all experience, huh? I wonder why there’s so much fog.”
“If it’s even named the Misty Plains, there must be a reason, though.”
But Cloudi seemed to be constantly enjoying herself, maybe because she came to a new place. It seems like she’s very curious about everything.
Anyway, we kept moving.
After another day passed like that, I started to think that things might have really gone to shit.
—Gwaek.
Mainly, the thought of Queres’ rental fee occupied my mind. It’s a monster that eats 25 coppers a day.
“Oh!”
In the meantime, I discovered some light.
“That light! Could it be a village!”
That’s right! There’s no way there wouldn’t be a village in such a wide land! When I pointed to the light source, Winnia and Cloudi were also very happy and agreed.
“It seems like it’s a village! Blackie, let’s go!”
“We can rest properly for a day or so, right? We can also ask for directions.”
“That’s right! Yes! It’s an escape!”
Since we found a village, finding the way wouldn’t be a problem anymore, just like Cloudi said. The travel period was longer than expected, but that was the happiest thing right now.
I immediately increased my speed and approached the light, and a palisade began to appear over there.
It was a village.
Since it’s in the fog, I guess we can just call it Fog Village.
And as if they had confirmed our appearance, a person with a sword at their waist appeared from over there.
“Who are you? Are you perhaps travelers?”
He looked like a famous child trafficker, but right now, I was just glad to see him. I conveyed exaggerated gratitude to ease his wariness.
“Oh, oh! That’s right! The fog was so bad that we got lost, but a village just happened to appear! We’ll pay you, so could you please help us!”
“…You were lost travelers. The fog is so thick here that travelers often get lost. A lot of those people flow into this place… Well, come in. This isn’t a harsh village for travelers.”
It seems like there are quite a few people who get lost and come here like us.
Anyway, I’m glad they’re accepting us.
“Thank you! Winnia! Cloudi! They said we can go in!”
“Phew, I feel relieved. We can rest now. I made a mistake.”
“You must have suffered a lot from getting lost. I’ll guide you.”
He’s quite kind, unlike his impression.
I followed his guidance and entered the village.
“You, two women, and that bird are all?”
“Ah, yes. That’s right. Is there an inn or something?”
“There is one. It’s a bit expensive, but it’s pretty good. It’s a place where lodgers come quite a bit because of the location and the fog… I was thinking of closing it down because there haven’t been any customers lately, but this is a good thing.”
—Hehehe.
The man who said that laughed in a strange tone.
Is he happy to have customers after a long time?
“Well, what can we do even if it’s expensive? You’re practically our savior.”
“Hehehe, you have a good way with words.”
“Hehe, but what does this village do to make a living?”
When I looked around, there were quite a few houses, even though it was a small village. There was also an old man cultivating a garden.
Well, it’s generally a rural village atmosphere.
It looks a bit gloomy because the fog is thick, though.
“We live by farming, hunting, selling herbs, and getting money from lodging travelers like you… Ah, we’ve arrived. That two-story building is the inn. Doesn’t it look good?”
“Oh, it does look good.”
The women who checked the building also seemed quite satisfied.
How common is a two-story inn in a village like this? Thanks to this, we can rest properly today and start again.
“Bro! I brought a customer!”
When the man shouted loudly, a hairy man with an impression like a cruel animal abuser came up from nearby and greeted us.
“I’ll put the bird in the stable. Is it okay to give it boiled hay as food?”
“Ah, please do that. Thank you.”
He was an employee of the inn.
I immediately put down my backpack, packed it, and handed Queres over to him. I gave him 2 coppers as a tip because I was worried he would really abuse the animal, and he grinned and went to the stable.
“The boss isn’t coming out. Well, come in.”
—Squeak.
I opened the door and went inside the inn. It’s quite clean inside.
“Boss! I said we have customers! One man and two women!”
“What? Did you say we have customers?!”
Only then did a middle-aged man who seemed to be the owner of the inn run down from the second floor.
He grinned when he checked our appearance, revealing his empty teeth.
…This guy looks almost like a skilled torture expert.
Is everyone’s impression fucked up because they live in a village like this?
“Please take care of us.”
For now, I also smiled brightly and greeted him.
