Chapter 1434 – Do You Know Kang●Style?
The devil recommended a karaoke room after the sledding slope and the knight’s restaurant. The reactions so far were all positive, so I went into the karaoke room with a skeptical mind.
“Welcome, ok.”
A middle-aged man sitting across from the karaoke desk looked embarrassed before saying hello. I guess I was surprised to see the foreign mercenaries behind me.
“Hello. Is there a room here? There are a little more than 10 people.”
I asked, ignoring the confused reaction and approaching the desk. The man answered while glancing at the mercenaries who were talking among themselves behind me.
“Uh, yes. Yes. “How many hours would you like?”
“Hour? No, please make it two hours.”
Because there were so many people, it seemed like it would just take an hour if we invited just one person. After hearing the result after a short period of thought, the man smiled and nodded as if he was happy that his guest had come.
“Yes. “Are you going to pay in cash?”
“No. A card.”
“If you don’t have cash, you can also transfer it to an account.”
“Sorry. “I’ll use a card.”
“Ugh, it’s a card…”
From the moment I heard that payment was made by credit card, my smile began to disappear. The man who received the card I gave him did not insert it into the reader and gave him a suspicious look.
“But, you’re not going to play rough, are you?”
Although it felt a little off-putting, it was a natural suspicion. There were nine foreign men with large bodies, and the only woman had a sharp aura. I assured the man who spoke quietly.
“Sure. These kids have common sense.”
“Okay? “If anything is broken or missing, we will charge you immediately.”
“Yes. Do. “I’ll swipe with a card then too.”
“So.”
But I felt bad ever since they treated me like a thief. Although he did the tough job of being a mercenary, he was clearly an employee of the company. I didn’t feel good about being treated like this just because he was big and a foreigner.
“Ruler. Room 7.”
While I was wondering if I should move to a karaoke room, the man finished paying. I received the receipt along with the card and looked around at the mercenaries who were talking behind me.
“There you gentlemen! And one lady! Follow me!”
“Okay, Mad Dog!”
“Don’t call me that!”
Those who did not know Korean were bright and had no idea how they were treated. No, it might have been better not to know. I didn’t know what the karaoke bar owner would do if he found out that they had been racially discriminated against.
“Ruler! It’s here!”
I guided them to their room, being innocent enough for their job as mercenaries. The boss’s attitude was angry, but the room I was given was large enough for 10 people.
“What? Mad dog? “What are we doing here?”
“Surely you can sleep here?”
“Wow! Let me stay in a different room than Chris! “He farts when he sleeps!”
“… Emma. How do you know that?”
The mercenaries who entered the room chatted excitedly among themselves. I had them sit on a long sofa along the wall and tried to teach them how to use the karaoke machine. The first thing I did was pick up the karaoke remote control.
“Everyone! I’m only going to tell you this once, so listen carefully! Do you know what this is?”
“Uh! Uh! I know! Me! “I saw it in the movie!”
The black guy who was trying to seduce a woman of any age earlier raised his hand and shouted. He taught his colleagues how to use the karaoke remote control that he knew, or to be precise, only he knew.
“If you press the number over there, the women with that number will appear!”
“What movie have you seen?!”
“Uh? No?”
“No, you idiot! And that’s not even the way to call it!”
It seemed like I had just watched a movie about a decadent establishment. It looked like he was going to throw the remote control at the black guy who was installing it without knowing much about it. Of course, he didn’t really throw it but instead taught him how to use the remote control.
“If you enter a number with this, the corresponding song will appear! All you have to do is sing along! Just do it like this!”
He opened a thick book on the karaoke table. He found a famous pop song there and entered the corresponding number. Then the lights on the ceiling flashed and the accompaniment of the song came out.
“Ruler! Okay! Just do it like this! Is there a song you want to sing?”
I turned off the song accompaniment, looked around at everyone, and asked. The mercenaries who heard about the karaoke in the newspaper didn’t know what to do and couldn’t even think of finding a song. In the end, I had to make the first move.
“Everyone!”
I found the song number in the book and entered it into the remote control. I asked with a slight smile before starting to sing.
“Do you know Kang●style?”
“!”
“!”
“!”
As soon as the world-famous song was played, the mercenaries’ eyes changed. Starting with this, everyone started to become familiar with Korean karaoke.
“Country road! Take me home!”
“Jimmy was from West Virginia?”
“I heard she lived in Ukraine, ah! This song! Mad Dog! Reserve this song!”
“Don’t call me Mad Dog! But, what song?”
If there was a song the mercenaries wanted to sing, I entered it and had them sing it. Later, they searched for the song on the Internet and entered it themselves.
“Uh? Mad Dog. “Something is strange.”
On the karaoke machine screen, an hour had passed. Among the noisy mercenaries, Weaver, who was the only one who was quiet, called out to me. He scratched his mustache and pointed to the karaoke machine.
“When we came in earlier, it said 2:00, right?”
“I did. Because it was 2 hours.”
“Now it says 1:12, so a little less than an hour has passed, right?”
“Yes. Why is that?”
“We’ve been here less than 30 minutes.”
“What?”
I was so embarrassed that I ended up speaking Korean. Weaver presented me with evidence to prove his hypothesis.
“I thought I was wrong, so I measured the time myself. “I’ll count down to one minute from now on.”
He started a stopwatch on the electronic watch on his wrist. He alternately looked at his wristwatch, which was gradually rising, and at the karaoke machine screen, which was playing a music video. I frowned before even a minute had passed.
“Look. “It wasn’t even 50 seconds, but a minute passed.”
When the person first changed, I thought that might be the case. It may have started just before the person changed. However, before the watch reached one minute, the minutes changed on the screen again.
What? Is that guy crazy?
The first question came to mind. I was curious what on earth they were thinking of killing these big guys. Maybe they thought that because their backs looked so wide, they wouldn’t really care if they ate their backs.
“Wait a minute, I’ll come back.”
Of course, what mattered now wasn’t why it happened. The first thing I did was to protest against the man who turned away foreigners who did not know Korean.
“Mad Dog? Are you okay?”
“Are you okay. “I’m singing.”
“Shall I go with you?”
“What do I do with you? “I’ll go alone.”
Weaver noticed that I was going to protest and tried to follow. I made him sit on the sofa again and looked at the karaoke screen. There were quite a few songs reserved, so it seemed like there was enough time to go to the desk.
“Oh, indeed. Weaver.”
Before leaving the room, I put my index finger to Weaver’s lips to tell him to be quiet. No one would be happy to find out that they were scammed while they were having fun.
Nod
Weaver immediately recognized my thoughts and nodded silently. He left the room, leaving behind the clever Weaver and the mercenaries singing excitedly. Then he walked towards the desk and shouted loudly.
“Mister! What are you doing now?”
“Uh, huh? Uh? “What, what?”
The man sitting inside the desk still pretended not to know. Even though they showed signs of embarrassment, the group of pretenders told him what they had found out.
“Mister! Why does my karaoke clock tick faster than my phone clock? This is cheating! That’s right!”
“No, they say I committed some kind of fraud.”
“It’s a scam! When I measured it, it turned out that 1 minute passed every 30 seconds!”
“Well, it’s not that bad.”
“So, it’s true that you sped up the time?”
“Oh, that… !”
The man who fell for the guided interrogation avoided my gaze and rolled his eyes. The excuses I came up with in a short period of time were absolutely ridiculous.
“No, that. Because foreigners have such a rough time. Breaking things and stealing microphones. Considering that, the time was shortened. No, if you think about it, isn’t it rather cheap? Do you know how much a microphone costs?”
“Does that make sense? And you said you would be compensated if you break or steal something! “Is it right to treat someone like a thief as soon as you see them in the first place?”
“Oh, you, you bastard! “How dare you talk to an adult, but you’re so stubborn!”
I was cornered and brought up my age. The man, whose eyes were wide open, motioned for me to stop and go back.
“Okay! Because I got it! We’ll give you a lot of service time! That’s enough, right? End! That’s it! “Go ahead and have fun!”
There was not a single apology until the end. I wanted to give a refund without having to hit them, but I didn’t want to ruin the mood of the mercenaries who were having a good time.
“It’s okay. The service time has arrived, and I stick to the original time.”
I uttered a word and turned around. Now go back to your room and just sing the song number,
Bang!
“This bastard!”
In a situation where it was okay to take a picture, the sound of the door being opened roughly and Jimmy’s voice rang loudly. He had been singing well in his room until now and came out into the hallway grinning.
“How dare you play with money? “You fucking bastard!”
Weaver’s mustachioed face was visible behind Jimmy as he approached him, shouting harsh expletives in English. It seems he didn’t keep the secret.
“Come here! “You motherfucking bastard!”
“Oh! Wait for a sec! Jimmy! Jimmy! Calm down!”
“Go away yellow monkey!”
The tense atmosphere wasn’t going to be alleviated by me placating it with a few words. In the end, I ended up using the method I used earlier at the sledding range.
“Jimmy! Calm down, Haragot!”
Chin!
“Big?!”
Pretending to block, I stuck my fist into my solar plexus. Jimmy sat down on the floor as if he had ever acted like he was going to attack her. She looked down at the crouching, moaning figure and then turned her gaze to the desk.
“Oh, hey, boss? Are you okay? “Don’t worry.”
“Oh, yes, yes. Yes”
A respectful word finally came out from the mouth of the man who was staring blankly at this place. He spoke in a polite manner, unlike before, when he was hostile.
“If you come in, I’ll give you a drink!”
“Yes. Thank you
Hey. Jimmy. Wake up. Don’t be so nervous.
”
“Mad Dog. “I will help you.”
Now, as she was about to lift Jimmy up and take him to her room, Weaver, who had been watching her with her head out, came over and supported her. I argued in a low voice as I supported him and Jimmy from both sides and led them away.
“Hey. “I didn’t decide to keep quiet.”
“Sorry. I only listen to what the boss says. But you’re not the boss. Not yet.”
“What are you saying? Just make sure you catch it properly.”
As expected, there didn’t seem to be a proper bastard among the mercenaries.
