Chapter 248 – Someone’s Trouble (1)
Lonely. Looking at the sofas in the corner and the gym (classroom) full of exercise equipment that would be right to call it a gym, Marey thought about that. Seeing the cold metal, Marey could do nothing but wait for the two of them to sit on the sofa where Merande always sat. As if there was no ventilation, the dust was shining through the pouring light.
She makes Maray, who had been sharing her passion and warmth with the two without any lies just before, think that she is lonely outside her house without knowing why.
When I opened the window, a lukewarm wind rushed in helplessly. It was also a bad wind that subtly felt damp, perhaps because there was a mountain in the school. She found it a little difficult to breathe.
Summer has begun Her lips moved of their own accord and let out a weak murmur. It seemed that the wind that flowed down the mountain would not be able to cool the heat. The weather of midsummer in the north is in full bloom at the end of spring.
Did you come a little early? Outside the window, I could see students in groups of twos and threes, chatting about something. It was strange to see so many people still passing by, and I felt envious. My thoughts went round and round, and my steps moved forward and backward without meaning.
The scene where Erden slapped Lee Ha-woon on the cheek did not leave her mind. She wanted to erase the fact that she was there. How should I look at Lee Ha-woon’s face? How will Lee Ha-woon react? Rather, it seemed that if Erden were here, she would be less burdened than he was. No, she might rather act casually.
Her excuse was that she hadn’t thought about the weekend because she was hectic. She tried hard not to think about it, so she just kept putting Lee Ha-woon’s work behind her. The old piece of cloth felt behind his back felt very strange.
If Lee Ha-woon reacted like this, if he reacted like that. The thoughts didn’t stop. Even Marey himself knew that if Lee Ha-woon reacted differently to his thoughts, the inside of his head would turn white and he would not be able to react properly.
Coming to Balter, where relationships were complicated and intertwined, all Marey felt was stuffy. She also knew perfectly well that she wouldn’t be able to adapt properly if Ravela hadn’t given her endless support (?) And her direction (?) To move forward.
Kiik-
It was a building that had just been built, but the hinges of the door opened with a rough kick and closed with a thud, and Marey brought news of Lee Ha-woon, who had been waiting for Marey, screaming dryly.
“Hey Kid. Today~! Like self-study! It’s good? Guess-.”
And that too in a very rough way.
Lee Ha-woon, who smelled like alcohol, made a small burp sound and brought the glass bottle he was holding to his mouth. Nyangnyang, which he himself said was the concept! Lee Ha-woon, who laughed naturally, seemed drunk.
“Are you okay…?”
Seeing Lee Ha-woon staggering towards her, Marei hurriedly approached her and grabbed her by the arm. Contrary to her thin appearance, her arms were very strong. Lee Ha-woon let out a small laugh.
“Ah, I drank because it was a little difficult. I’m sorry, I’m sorry~! Please watch over me today!”
Lee Ha-woon slaps Marey on the back with a bang-bang-sound and laughs louder than before. Although her hands were so hot that her tears sprang to the surface, Marais did not become so harsh that she would throw out a drunkard.
Lee Ha-woon, lying down on the sofa, curls up and stretches his body like a cat, repeatedly rubbing his face against the black mattress. I thought that he was cute when he made a noise and smiled, but as if he was wearing a mask, he felt a strange distance from Lee Ha-woon.
“Why did you eat like this…”
“I’m sorry… I did it because it was hard. It’s just, the kid doesn’t listen to me, and I think of the old days… Just having a drink in the morning… I’ve been drinking in the next room. Heh heh heh… Oh, it’s not like this.”
I drank six bottles! Lee Ha-woon burst into laughter without a countermeasure. Marey hugged the staggering cat teacher Suin’s arm even tighter. She felt like she would fall forward if she didn’t catch on. Lee Ha-woon’s yellow eyes were shaking nervously, as if he would burst into tears at any moment, so he might have held on tighter.
The acrid smell of alcohol wafted through the light breath. It was so toxic that you could get drunk just by smelling it. Lee Ha-woon saw Marey frowning at her and nodded her head several times before opening her mouth.
Although he said nothing.
“What happened with Merende?”
“There’s always something going on, he’s a fucking kid. I want you to listen. I’m not listening at all. The middle 2nd bottle was also firmly caught, so I was nervous every day telling me to leave it alone. Under… I’m like this, so I can’t stop drinking!”
Lee Ha-woon brought a bottle of amber-colored liquid to his mouth that smelled like alcohol just by opening the lid. He knew he shouldn’t be thinking like this, but for some reason, he heard a short evaluation that he was pathetic. Even if this shouldn’t be the case.
The way he spit out profane words was more like a gangster than a teacher.
“If you eat more, it will be a big problem. Calm down, Mr. Lee Ha-woon…”
“Are you okay. Hey, in my prime, I drank all night and went out to fight the next day. I’m not dead enough to get drunk like this! Would you like a drink too? Yes?”
“Where did Nyan go?”
Lee Ha-woon also avoided his gaze as if he understood his mistake.
Drunk people always said the same thing. Marey forcibly snatched the bottle from Lee Ha-woon, who spoke the same way he had seen in the village elders and travelers he had seen at the bar on the northern wall. If she put her mind to it, she could push her little boy and get her bottle back, but Lee Ha-woon whimpered in a shallow voice.
“Please lie down… If you drank six bottles of strong liquor, most generals would collapse. Slowly… Yes. Please lie down.”
“Because I’m not drunk… Take the Nyan Nyan Punch!”
Her curly hair patted her iharun, speaking in her pronunciation, and Marei slowly moved her to her couch. Her shallow sigh leaked out as Lee Ha-woon collapsed on the sofa as she quietly lay down on her. On top of that, her drinking habit was so nasty that she was constantly banging Marey’s chest with her palms and talking nonsense like her cat punch.
A woman of her own age (and slightly older) was lying on the sofa, but there was still space left for her to sit on. She had only carried the drunk to her sofa in front of the door, but feeling exhausted, Marei pushed Lee Ha-woon’s legs away from her and made a place for her to sit.
“Would you like some water?”
“Our prospective son-in-law is kind. Kick kick kick.”
Lee Ha-woon said something incomprehensible and burst into laughter like a child. Her outstretched legs pounded the back of the sofa. The sound echoed incessantly.
“So angry…”
“Yes? What did you say? It’s so small I can’t hear it.”
Lee Ha-woon muttered something softly with a drunken face. She immediately smiled broadly and smiled at her. She wondered if what she had heard was an illusion.
“I don’t know!”
Marei took off her outerwear and covered her with her figure of Lee Ha-un, acting more like a girl younger than her, rather than older than her.
“Mr. Lee Ha-woon… Take a deep breath and you’ll be fine. Because I won’t tell anyone You shouldn’t come like this from now on. Then you might get angry.”
“Are you okay. It’s okay~.”
Lee Ha-woon’s swaying hand roughly stirred the air. At the lukewarm classroom temperature and the lukewarm behavior of Lee Ha-woon, Marey burst into laughter. Subtly, I didn’t like this sight. I don’t know if fun would be more accurate. Oddly enough.
“My son-in-law is fun too!”
She didn’t know why she was Lee Ha-woon’s son-in-law, but she did know that she wasn’t listening to drunken people. Marei knew roughly what she was saying, and she patted her on the back as if telling Lee Ha-wun to go to sleep.
Thinking that she might be asleep now, she removed her hand, and the feeling of her sudden grip on her ass caused Marei to scream.
“Hey hey! Lee Ha-woon, teacher!”
“Queuck. It’s like ‘Heehee!’ ‘Hey hee hee!’ Is it a girl? Heeeee?”
Embarrassed enough to turn her face red, Marei jumped up from her seat and glared at Lee Ha-woon, but she clapped her hands and burst into laughter as Maray’s reaction was so good. Lee Ha-woon, with one eye half-closed, stretched out his arms and legs like a cat and stretched out his body. His clear abs caught his eye. He smelled awfully of alcohol, and though he was stumbling around again. Lee Ha-woon did not appear to be drunk. He may be mistaken though.
After a long yawn, Lee Ha-woon turned his back and curled up his body. Her pure white hair only glistened weakly in the sunlight. She sat in the empty seat she had made for her. The smell of alcohol seemed to emanate from her body.
Even her muscular abs, her well-toned thighs with glimpses of her muscles, and her slightly trembling toes smell faintly of alcohol.
“Do you have many friends?”
“Yes?”
“Do you have many friends? It’s nothing. Ok, just… Therefore. I was just curious about that…”
Lee Ha-woon asked in a toneless voice. She insisted on putting her words at the end, so she knew that she looked like that or why, but she wanted to ask why.
“Article… I have gold.”
“Okay.”
In a town with barriers, a boy of his age and his classmates. Can you call classmates your friends? She thought about it for a moment, but she didn’t think deeply.
Ha-woon giggled and she trembled slightly. It smelled of her alcohol, but for some reason it didn’t seem like she was drunk with her. She just felt that way. Marei stared blankly at Suin-sensei, the cat lying next to her.
A height that would become similar as she stretched out her feet. Slightly shorter than average for an adult woman around Marey. It was a completely different feeling from the tall Ravela. She wore a business card as a professor, but when I saw her occasionally taking care of her, such as tapping her on the butt or casually putting her on the shoulder, I thought she was more of a friend than a teacher.
“What’s going on?”
“It’s like it’s harder when people don’t have work. When you’re this age, you’ll remember how fucked up life is. Even if you forget, there will be times when you become shackles around your ankles and want to be a baby every time you are dragged away. Ah, the thing I put off has exploded! Like I said.”
It was hard to understand. Lee Ha-woon still had his eyes closed. Like a beast, with his body curled up. For some reason, it looked like a wounded beast. Her naughty behavior really bothered her, but she was able to judge her as being cuter than she thought, so Marei nodded her head shyly.
The words to lightly ignore the drunkard’s bullshit came to mind.
“…It’s okay if you don’t want to talk. Cheer up.”
“…Under!”
Lee Ha-woon jumped up as if her energy was full and snorted loudly. Then she frowned at Marey, then brushed her hair roughly and lay down on her couch again. This time, without rounding her body or leaving her sneaky spot, she stretched out her legs and rested her calves on her Marey’s lap.
Seeing Lee Ha-woon’s unresponsiveness after that, Marey leaned back on the sofa and closed her eyes. Her exhaustion was gone, but it seemed like someone should be by Lee Ha-woon’s side. She just seemed like it should be. It felt like recently, for some reason, more and more people felt like they needed to be by my side.
Her thighs started to perspire secretly as someone stuck to her in the lukewarm weather. As the wind passes by, neither cold nor hot, the top of her sweaty thighs feels a little cold.
“Marey… Little one, are you sleeping?”
“No.”
Hearing Lee Ha-woon’s voice, Marei opened her eyes. She really didn’t sleep. She was just quietly swimming through the delicate hours of the morning. Passing her time was all too familiar to the men of the barrier. It was a quiet country town where something was going on.
“Kids grow up quickly. Even if you don’t have to run, it’s the name of an adult that comes to you. Children reach out and try to run. That’s true…”
“Doesn’t even a cat stick on anymore?”
“Noisy, just listen.”
That’s what adults say. Lee Ha-woon clicked his tongue lightly. Marei quietly listened to Lee Ha-woon’s voice.
“That’s true… I’m sorry. But more sadly. These are children who have become adults. It’s only natural to grow old and experience many things, but… There are many magics that can turn a child straight into an adult. Whether it be poverty, lack, or loneliness.”
These are terrible magic. Lee Ha-woon was staring blankly into space. Her field of vision didn’t include Marei or the white-painted ceiling. The golden eyes were looking at Merende, who was not here now. Then, Lee Ha-woon turned his gaze to her Marey and spat out her words in a weak voice.
I thought that the word terrible magic was wrong. It was a harsh reality. Marei didn’t know what expression to show, so she just stared blankly at Lee Ha-woon.
“Both you and him are just such little kids…”
Her eyes were full of subtle emotions, making it impossible to recall Lee Ha-woon, who used to laugh and play pranks. Normally she would have avoided Marais had their eyes met for a few seconds, but this time she didn’t. She was right when she said she couldn’t.
The yellow eyes were filled with regret. Pity, and unknown. She seemed to be full of difficult emotions that could not be expressed.
“Why…”
Lee Ha-woon gently lifted her body up and stretched out her hands to wrap Marey’s neck.
