Chapter 212 – Black Moon
Every time the wagon was shaken, Hergel broke into a cold sweat from the pain he felt in his stomach.
Germi would soon hear that he had gone out in the carriage. So he had to take Herendal and leave as soon as possible.
“Whoa… Ha… Coachman! Can’t you go any faster!”
“Well, there are people on the side of the road, so this is the maximum.”
“Shit! Hurry up!”
“Yes, yes! Err! What!”
The coachman made a puzzled expression, not knowing why Hergel was in such a hurry, and shook the reins while shouting at the passers-by who were blocking the road to get out of the way.
It didn’t take long for Herendal to arrive at the villa where he was staying, but for Hergel, it was a time of perseverance like an eternity. Hergel hurriedly got out of the stopped carriage and busily passed by, interrupting the maid who had come to meet him, wiping cold sweat from his face.
“Are you here?”
“There should be a safe in my study on the third floor. Put it on the wagon ASAP.”
“All right.”
“Is Herendal in the room?”
“Bocchan saw the carriage and went up to the roof.”
“To the rooftop?”
At the maid’s words, Hergel raised her head and looked at the top of the villa. I could see the silhouette of a person on a 5-story rooftop.
“Tsk, it’s urgent, but I get it. Put the safe in the carriage until I come down.”
“All right.”
Hergel went straight into the villa without looking back at the maid who answered.
The mansion, which only felt spacious today, was savage. Busily crossing the central hall and walking up the stairs to the second floor, one by one, my heart soon became impatient and I started running up two steps at a time.
2nd floor, 3rd floor, 4th floor… Hergel arrived at the rooftop door on the 5th floor and hurriedly opened the door and called for Herendal, who was sitting on the roof railing.
“Herendal!!”
“Don’t come closer!”
Startled by Herendal’s sharp voice, Hergel stopped and looked at his son. He had the same orange-colored hair and eyes as he did when he was young, and his tail and ears, which were evidence of inheriting his own blood, stood out. He immediately looked at his face.
His lips were biting tight, and his eyes were full of hostility and tension. Even though he was in a hurry, he had a hunch from the look on Herendal’s expression that if he took one step closer, something irreversible would happen.
“Herendal.”
“Fuck… I didn’t expect it because the news from Johannes was late, but seeing that he came with both feet intact, it must have failed.”
“Herendal!”
“Shut up! You’re here to kill me?! Did Johannes blow everything? Huh? Or did he just blame me for everything?”
There was absolutely no composure in Herendal’s eyes. His pupils constricted and his tail puffed up stiffly. His hair was also swollen and stood on end.
“You won’t let the traitor live in peace, will you? Huh?”
“Huh, huh… That is…”
Hergel tried to continue his words, wiping the sweat from the corners of his eyes. But he was short of breath because of his wildly pulsating, oxygen-requiring heartbeat.
“That’s not it. Whoa… Calm down…”
“Did you come to kill me? It’s the first time I’ve ever seen you breathe so hard and even sweat. Couldn’t you wait to kill me so much? Huh?”
“That’s not it! Herendal! I don’t care what you did. Forgive everything, everything Let’s go to the capital together with this father and live quietly.”
“Do not lie! Are you planning on catching me off guard and dragging me to torture me to death? Giving a traitor a painful death is your way, the Black Moon.”
“Because it’s not like that! If it stays like this, Gerumi will… !”
“After all, children are like tools to you! From the moment I became a one-armed idiot after being beaten by Germi, I was useless to anyone!”
“You are my son! Where in the world are parents who think their children are useless? !”
“You!!”
Herendal cut off Hergel’s words and shouted in a fit of fuss.
“Since when did you attach so much importance to your family! On the subject that she never shed a tear when her mother died!”
“That, that…”
Hergel was speechless. He forcibly parted his lips and continued his words with difficulty.
“When I shed tears over the death of a family member, my enemies find their weakness… I’m afraid you’ll be in danger…”
A strong wind blew past, devouring Hergel’s small voice. Herendal, who did not hear Hergel’s words, immediately shouted as if writing a curse.
“I became such a one-armed asshole! What? You’re going to retire and go up to the capital and live quietly?! There is a certain level of shamelessness!”
Behind Herendal, on the way to the villa, I saw a carriage coming in. At Hergel’s gaze looking over his shoulder, Herendal also turned his head.
“Yes, even if I die soon, he won’t take care of me with his own hands, right? Handling the likes of me on your own makes your hands messy, right?”
Hearing Herndal’s sarcastic words, Hergel suddenly turned his gaze from his carriage to Herendal.
“I-if it stays like this, Gerumi will…”
“I had no intention of living a long life with such an asshole anyway.”
“Herendal! What are you trying to do!”
Seeing that Herendal, who had been sitting on the railing, was standing on the railing, Hergel stretched out his hand and shouted. It looked so dangerous.
“It’s unacceptable to be tortured and searched for as you please.”
“It’s dangerous, so come down!”
“Fuck it. I hate you I’ll curse you in hell I hope you will surely meet a painful end.”
“Herendal!!”
Herendal’s figure disappeared under the railing. Hergel hurriedly ran to catch Herendal as he fell down the railing, but everything was delayed. He stared at the falling Herendal with his upper body sticking out under the railing.
After the eternity-like moment ended, bright red blood splattered in all directions from Herendal, who was getting smaller and smaller.
The sound of flesh bursting was heard. The sound he had heard many times, mixed with the cries of traitors, came from his son.
*****
“I have a carriage. It seems it’s not too late.”
The old man pushed his upper body out of the wagon window and looked toward the villa, shading the sun with one hand over his eyebrows.
“Good. It’s not too late to catch up.”
“Germi, what are you planning to do?”
“Um…”
At Natalya’s question, Germi groaned in agony.
“I do not know either… It’s the first time I’ve seen Hergel do that… Is it right for him to release Herendal… ?”
She offers to let Phillips deal with Herendal, but her promise to her stinky pup doesn’t matter much. Germi’s feelings are more important than a promise with such a guy.
“Wouldn’t it be right for Germi to do whatever she wants?”
“Um…”
“Im here!”
The coachman’s voice was heard and the carriage came to a gentle stop. The old man, who had been sticking his upper body out the window, leaned in and pulled himself out of the window flexibly.
After the old man got off, he followed and got out of the carriage.
“Roin?”
“Your stomach is upset?”
“Stomach?”
Following the old man, he bent his head and looked up at the roof of the villa. The orange glow of the sunset, like Germi’s hair, dyed the sky and the white walls of the villa. I could see a person protruding from the boundary of the building, which was cut in a straight line.
“Um… That one?”
“Isn’t that Herendal?”
“Huh?”
Herendal, who was standing on the roof railing, leaned back and fell. Everyone in the party who looked at the scene was speechless at the unrealistic sight.
Herendal’s head, which fell from the head as if diving, hit the ground and was crushed, splashing red blood everywhere like a watermelon bursting.
“Kyaaaaagh!!”
The maids who were carrying large boxes from the mansion screamed at the sight and fell down.
“No!!”
I raised my head at the screams I heard from above. Hergel, whose upper body was sticking out on the railing, was screaming with his hands hanging down.
My head went white with the blood that had spread all over the place. The corpse, which had been pierced vertically from the head, lay helplessly on its side.
Red blood splattered on the adjacent flower bed and the orange-tinted walls of the villa.
Red blood, white walls… White walls…
I closed my eyes and grabbed his trembling arm.
This is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with it.
“Hansong? Where are you bad?”
Natalya, right behind me, tugged at my sleeve and looked at me worriedly.
“Okay, it’s okay. I’m surprised… What about Natalya?”
“I’m OK.”
“I’m glad… Germi?”
“Uh…”
I barely made up my mind and looked at Germi next to me. Germi was also staring at Herendal’s corpse, mesmerized.
“Germi, are you okay?”
“Uh, yes…”
“There is still Hergel up there.”
“Huh…”
At my words, Germi stared blankly at Hergel, who was hanging from the roof railing and looking down.
“Let’s go up…”
“Huh.”
The group entered the villa without saying a word. A wide hall that seemed to welcome visitors and a huge central staircase leading to the second floor stood out.
I stepped on the stairs and went up one by one.
