Chapter 31 – What the Goddess Does (3)
About four days have passed since that laughable uproar.
A sudden invasion by human traffickers while visiting the night market, and an unexpected reunion.
It was truly a surprise couple reunion event that took place out of nowhere.
My other wife, Nemesis El Amelia Reyhard, who was the goddess of vengeance and earned the nickname Beautiful Blade for her excellent sword skills, maintained her rugged beauty as ever.
Nemesis, who had seen her face for the first time in quite a while, was still protecting the peace of the continent in her own way.
For her public good, she does not hesitate to get blood on her own hands. That was her firm style and values.
There were some of Nemesis’ wives who viewed her actions negatively, saying that they detracted from her goddess’ stature, but Nemesis herself paid no heed to such criticism and always quietly carried out her own justice.
After clearing out her traffickers and having an unexpected reunion with her husband, Nemesis, knowingly or unknowingly, seemed excited.
Nemesis wanted to share her story with me, but she couldn’t stay there for long because the mercenaries that Nemesis had hired were in a hurry to find her.
Nemesis swallowed her faintly revealed regrets and prioritized her duties as her beautiful blade over her own greed.
Before Nemesis left to finish her work, she gave me a big hug for the first time in a while.
Normally, I would have had to kiss at least to make ends meet, but I felt like I endured that much because there were people watching nearby.
Just when I was at a loss for what to do with the feel of her ample breasts covered in her tank top, Nemesis slowly withdrew her body from me and turned her back to her dark alley with Eren following behind her.
The brief meeting between me and Nemesis, which took place suddenly, ended in vain, if only in vain.
“When you decide what menu to order, please call me, sir.”
The waitress, holding a tray in one hand, gave me a business smile as I sat at the table and left.
I took a sip of the cold water on the table and took a quick look around.
Now I was at a teahouse located in a village outside Krezel.
There were quite a few people who seemed to have come to the teahouse past lunch hour to enjoy afternoon tea.
Perhaps because it was a store with an open and bright atmosphere, families were also spotted here and there.
I wasn’t with Thanatos right now, so I wasn’t using any recognition-impairing magic, but since I was in disguise, my identity wasn’t revealed to the people at the teahouse.
I tapped the table with my finger and quietly gazed at the scenery outside the teahouse.
And at that very moment, a familiar face appeared from around the corner and suddenly caught my eye.
“Oh, you’re already here~?”
Richard opened the door and entered the store, approached the table where I was, and waved his hand happily.
Richard, who had heard about my disguise in advance, immediately found me sitting in the corner of the store.
“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting. “It was my first time coming to the magic city, so I got a little lost.”
Richard, who was sitting across from me, scratched his head and awkwardly apologized.
I told him not to worry and just stared at Richard.
“Have you placed your order?”
“No, not yet…”
“Well, since it’s a bit hot, let’s order something to drink first.”
After saying that, Richard immediately raised his hand and called the waitress to order a drink.
Richard, who ordered lemonade first, asked me what I would like to drink. After thinking about it for a while, I answered milk tea.
The waitress who checked the order left and soon after, the drinks we ordered arrived at the table.
“Thank you for taking the time to come here.”
With both hands wrapped around a mug filled with hot milk tea, I thanked Richard for running all the way here.
“You’re welcome. “If it’s the hero’s request, I have to run anywhere.”
Richard smiled brightly as he lightly stirred the icy lemonade beautifully decorated with lemon slices with a straw.
It was a sly flattery, but depending on how you took it, it could be seen as a mockery.
“… “Did anything happen with Demeter?”
As I sipped my milk tea, I quietly brought up Demeter’s name.
Then Richard, who was tasting the lemonade, removed the straw he was holding and naturally opened his mouth.
“Um, well…” … This is a bit of an ambiguous question to answer. “I don’t know what standards you have for things.”
Richard, who had his arms resting on the table, said that as if he was trying to annoy me.
It was a somewhat obnoxious answer, but it probably wasn’t an outright lie.
Because I couldn’t figure out exactly what could be considered a ‘big deal’ between Demeter and Richard, whom we had already seen and not seen.
Depending on how you think about it, everything could be a big deal, and everything could be no longer a big deal…
“You can rest assured that since we left the forest, the two of us have not met together without Ion’s knowledge.”
Richard must have thought that I was worried about something out of the blue, as he spoke in a friendly voice and had a very friendly expression on his face.
Demeter and Richard’s dizzying relationship temporarily ended yesterday.
Since it was a special adulterous relationship that had been established from the beginning until yesterday, there was no particular cause of irreparable disharmony between the two.
“Thank you for keeping your promise…”
I said that sincerely, looking at Richard right in front of me.
Richard did not break his promise to me and left Lepothesia Forest without delay when the pre-arranged period ended.
Even though it would not have been easy to let go of the body of a goddess who had indulged in it countless times and had become addicted to it.
I couldn’t help but express my respect for the way he prioritized reason over his fleshly desires.
“Well, promises are meant to be kept.”
Richard, who had already finished half of his Lemonate, proudly shrugged his broad shoulders.
“By the way, is that all the business you asked me to see?”
As water droplets formed on the surface of the transparent glass cup were falling down, Richard suddenly said that to me.
“Aside from Demeter, didn’t you call me because you had something to say to me?”
Richard, who seemed to have penetrated my heart, had a bright, confident expression on his face.
Feeling an unknown burden from that strange smile, I brought milk tea to my mouth to quench my thirst.
“Do you want to have the other wives play the same game as Demeter?”
I almost spilled my milk tea as Richard gently hit my bones.
I suddenly found out what I was hiding, so I hurriedly put down the cup and roughly wiped the milk tea from the corner of my mouth with the back of my hand.
Richard stared quietly at that day with a look of pity on his face.
I couldn’t confirm what Richard said, but I couldn’t deny it either.
And at that point, it was like nodding that his reasoning was true.
I repeated this to myself several times.
Let’s stop now, isn’t enough already done, don’t do any more harm to her beloved wives…
But despite such self-hypnosis, her dark desire, once unleashed, showed no end.
Recently, her erectile dysfunction, which she thought had improved, seemed to be getting worse again.
Even though I made Demeter and Thanatos not fall for the man outside her, my ugly wall could not find the word satisfaction.
To be honest, she wanted to make all of her remaining wives fall victim to this nonsense.
However, that was almost impossible.
Unlike Demeter and Thanatos, the other three goddesses had very strong pride.
“Don’t take it too seriously.”
At a time when I was unconsciously sighing as I thought about the seemingly hopeless possibilities, Richard comforted me with a friendly voice.
“I’m not bragging, but I’ve encountered many types of spouses while working in this field. Among her people, there were quite a few people, like Ion, who were suffering from severe distress due to their own walls.”
Richard continued, setting aside the lemonade in front of him.
“To be honest, there is no such thing as a sure cure for the walls of Neto. This is especially true if you are seriously ill like Ion. “I can only hope earnestly that the vale of sexual desire will pass.”
“The barley hill of sexual desire… ?”
I tilted my head involuntarily at the extremely strange expression.
“Every stimulus has a beginning and an end. No matter how delicious and powerful a food is, if you put it in your mouth every day, you will eventually get sick of it. In my view, Ion has no choice but to aim for that.”
“I think it would be a good idea to keep doing this until you get sick of it, are you saying?”
When I asked that, Richard immediately nodded.
Do this until you get sick of it… Maybe that too may be a path to a solution.
Because you don’t necessarily need to pour water on a forest fire to put it out.
Allowing the fire to spread until it spreads and then letting it die out on its own would be a poor solution, but it would be one of the ways to extinguish the fire.
However, it is questionable what will remain on the land where everything has become ashes…
“Well, this is just my personal opinion, so you don’t have to take it too seriously.”
Richard, who seemed to have seen the shadow on my face, added it later, but I had a hard time shaking off the bad feeling that a heavy lead had settled in my chest.
And before long, an ambiguous silence that was hard to put into words came between us.
“Well, I said something stupid and the mood got a bit worse… “To apologize, would you like to tell me an interesting story?”
“Interesting story?”
Richard suddenly changed the topic, as if trying to ventilate the heavy air.
“This is the story of a wife I know.”
Richard slowly raised the corner of his mouth and started crying.
