Chapter 2 – Chapter 1. Tutorial.
Jihyuk Kang opened his eyes. A cold, prickly sensation pricked the back of his neck. I could see the dark sky in my field of vision.
… Fuck this
He rubbed his bare face with his hand in a gloomy sensation.
I really thought I could see the end this time. … But who would have known that the Great Demon King would be so powerful? He became so foul-mouthed that one more ‘dae’ character was added to the devil. … Damn you, then I should have called you a prostitute.
He lost everything he had accomplished the moment he was killed by the great demon king Carmine. Of course, this has happened many times since a long time ago, but I couldn’t help but feel very dirty.
Jihyeok was praised as a hero of the continent. He had no shortage of skills, experience, or popularity. However, in the end, there were no warriors who would become real strength at the end. That was the decisive reason for the defeat.
Actually, it didn’t matter that much until he fought the Great Demon King. Even if there were no other warriors, he defeated the demon king with one team of warriors.
However, the Great Demon King was different. Whatever he was, he couldn’t deal with him. He was truly beyond imagination. He knew it when he bumped into it himself.
Simply being his teammate wasn’t enough. They needed reliable warriors. A true comrade who can run and fight alongside you in an emergency. … However, no matter how much Jihyeok thought about it, there was no one that immediately came to mind.
In the first place, he wasn’t the only one like this. Strangely, there were many things that the warriors did not get along with each other. Even if they seemed to be on good terms, they were just pretending. Because it will help you right now.
The warriors were in a relationship of infinite competition. Of course, that wasn’t the only downside. Since everyone was fighting hard to get promoted, they were able to effectively suppress the expansion of the demons. But in the end, it’s a big problem that we can’t do it when we should be working together.
… What should I do with this?
Jihyeok raised his upper body and let out a long sigh.
He shook his head. He wanted to rest. He was mentally exhausted from fighting the Great Demon King’s army for a long time. I decided to think about how to proceed with this episode after a while.
My heart, which I thought was going to run amok with anger, was calmed down surprisingly quickly. That was all the power of the years. Since he’s been through death several times, I guess he’s become a little calmer.
Of course, this death was a bit painful compared to other times, but it seemed that the lingering feelings had fallen because it was a fight that had no possibility at all.
From the beginning, when he pretended to be with the other warriors, it was a bad design from the beginning. We couldn’t be friendly, but at least we shouldn’t have struck out as enemies.
Jihyeok quickly found the fault and tried to fix it. Because he knew empirically that otherwise he would fall behind again.
This time he had the confidence to draw a better blueprint than the last time. Anyway, experience and talent were enough. Rebuilding it wouldn’t be too difficult.
Dawn was breaking in the distance. The people who had fallen began to rise one by one.
There is still a little time left before the full-scale tutorial begins. Jihyeok sat still and watched the situation closely.
Those who woke up early were wandering here and there with dazed faces, not knowing what the hell this was about. In fact, there were not only people here. All races were gathered. Orcs, trolls, goblins, lizardmen, and even fairies.
To be honest, among them, humans were a bit less capable. The number of warriors from other races was much greater. So it wasn’t that hard to get along with them. Since they are of different races in the first place, the part of them that communicates with each other is a little less.
Humans weren’t the only ones on Earth. He came from many worlds. Among humans, there were not a few people who used psychic powers, magic, or martial arts. In that respect, Earthlings were at the bottom among humans in many worlds. Correction? I wouldn’t have said anything like that.
However, Jihyeok had nothing to fear. He was able to break the tutorial even by himself. He went through so much that he could have made a strategy book.
While I was thinking about this and that, the sun rose brightly over the horizon. No one was lying on the floor anymore. Everyone was awake and looking around.
Then the tutorial fairy appeared. She says she’s a fairy, but she looks like a monster’s balls.
– Hi guys. I’m a tutorial fairy!
The hairy balls floated in the air, chattering about.
– You guys are here to save this world from crisis. So, everyone, do your best to help.
Of course, there was no persuasion at all. Jihyeok also said what bullshit at first.
– Still, selection work is necessary. You can’t accept both dogs and cows. We don’t need weaklings.
The ball sprite was talking nonsense.
– It won’t be too difficult though. When you catch a monster, sometimes the token drops. If you have it, you pass. The deadline is only 1 week!
The fairy circled around on top of those who were in a daze.
– Then I wish you good luck!
Then it disappeared. It was a really very unkind explanation.
To be honest, it was downright embarrassing. After calling out suddenly, it was as if the weak ones were gone.
There was a moment of buzzing noise. These guys will be crazy too. Jihyeok stood up from his seat. The tutorial guide was over, so it was time to act.
There were only two Earthlings. Anchovy man with glasses, and a teacher’s wife.
These were needed Because there has to be a chore to do the little things.
Jihyeok’s body was still in need of care. He had to rest when he was tired and sleep when he was tired. Then he needed a vigil so that he would not be attacked while sleeping.
Monsters weren’t the only enemies here. The same tutorial participants were all enemies. Afterwards, they fight each other because of the lack of marks.
In that respect, the weak earthlings were perfect. Because there is little to no fear of getting hit in the back.
“Hello.”
Jihyeok smiled and approached the two. Ah, yes. Awkward greetings passed.
“I think we should act together.”
“Maybe?”
The three moved in together.
The anchovy man was very talkative. He looked very excited, saying that he did not know that he would really experience the transfer to another world that he had only heard about. Conversely, the teacher’s married woman had a very frightened face.
“Is this all a dream? Right?”
“Do you think it is a dream?”
“How does this happen in real life? It’s nonsense. Unless it’s a dream.”
The teacher was an extreme realist. Adaptation was slow. … In fact, this was the appearance of an average earthling. The anchovy man is a bit funny.
However, it was a bit difficult to dismiss such a vivid sensation as a dream. She also pinched her thighs and slapped her on the cheek to check. However, the sensation of touching the skin was very clear.
The married woman had no choice but to accept that this was not a dream. Funny enough, the anchovy man already acted as if he had become the main character of this world. … It seemed like he had read a lot of different world novels.
“Now what?”
The teacher asked with her worried face. Then, the anchovy man stepped out.
“They said they needed to get a token. Then you have to catch the monster. That way you can pass the tutorial.”
That’s what the guy shouted. I don’t know anything, so I can’t be brave like that.
Then Jihyeok intervened. It was important to catch the monster, but it was right to prepare to last a week.
“Isn’t it the first thing to secure drinking water and food? You’d have to be prepared to last a week here.”
“Yes, I see. That’s a good idea.”
Anchovy Man spoke like a leader. Still, Jihyeok watched. Anyway, it didn’t matter if he was the captain here or not. If it wasn’t too much, I thought I’d match it to his rhythm.
“Ah, the introduction is late. I am Lee Seong-han.”
“I’m Kang Ji-hyeok.”
“This is Kim Se-hee.”
The three exchanged names like that. Of course, it was a name I would forget completely once I passed the tutorial.
They decided to find drinking water first. Because water is the most important thing for survival.
Of course, it was difficult to find water in the empty field. So they headed for a place where they could see the forest over there. There is a big mountain behind it, so I wondered if there would be water flowing along the valley.
All other races also moved there. Everyone seemed to be thinking the same thing.
The anchovy man chattered nonstop even as he walked. Of course, the opponent was the teacher’s married woman. She didn’t seem to want to talk much, but fearing that she would feel embarrassed if I ignored her, she said yes, and forced her to answer. Of course, Jihyeok just listened quietly.
The distance to the forest was quite far. I did not think that the distance would be shortened even after walking for a long time. The teacher, who lacks stamina, already looked exhausted.
“Can I take a break for a bit?”
So they sat down from the sun behind a large rock. Anchovy Man brought up the story of marching in the army. The tired teacher didn’t even respond. It was only then that he noticed a little bit and bit his mouth shut.
After recovering moderately, they set off toward the forest again. There were already a lot of dotted groups in the distance. They lag behind
Still, the anchovy man seemed to be considerate of the teacher. It’s a man with a dick on his back. This is it. Of course, it was questionable whether he would still be so considerate when he was tired.
How was it before
In fact, Jihyeok couldn’t even remember anything about these two people. I didn’t join them for every tutorial, and it’s been too long since. His head is not so good at remembering everything, even useless things.
Still, I thought it wouldn’t have ended in a bad relationship. Humans remember bad emotions strangely well.
Anyway, they walked and walked. I also took a lot of rest in the middle. The teacher was already completely exhausted. With no water or food, recovery was getting slower and slower.
They arrived at the beginning of the forest only in the late evening when the sunset was setting. But as it got dark, the surroundings became eerie. Jihyeok had many experiences like this, but it seemed that this was the first time the couple had come to such a completely dark forest.
At first, it seemed difficult to act because there was nothing to see. In fact, I didn’t even have that kind of stamina left.
“Let’s rest here.”
The two grabbed a tree and lay down. After paving the floor with stones, Jihyeok compacted some sand and lay down on it. The first thing that happened was Anchovy Man.
“Oh, fuck!”
He jumped up and brushed his body. It was because of the ants clinging to his body. The teacher followed suit and brushed himself off.
Eventually they fell far from the tree and lay on the bare ground.
It was cold and hungry, and the bed was uncomfortable. The two men and women were so tired that they couldn’t fall asleep easily. Of course, Jihyeok was carefree and slept well.
He hadn’t bothered to keep a watch from the first day. It was the first day anyway. If something happens, just start over and you’re done.
… That’s how the first night of the 15th car was getting deeper.
