## Chapter 64 – 064. Vampire Detective
064. Vampire Detective
Having arrived at Incheon Port, I stowed my bike in my inventory. The police who were chasing me would probably arrive here in about five minutes.
‘October 31st, Halloween. The episode on this day is about a Chinese human trafficking crime organization.’
Originally, the story begins when Moon Ji-hyuk hears a complaint from an ajumma working at a restaurant near the police station he frequents, about her daughter disappearing without a word.
‘Moon Ji-hyuk is currently working in the Anti-Corruption Unit, so he couldn’t investigate those guys.’
Moon Ji-hyuk knows nothing about this human trafficking crime organization. I didn’t bother to tell him either. There’s nothing he can do even if he knew now.
‘This episode ended ambiguously in the drama.’
They rescued the people who were kidnapped by the Chinese.
However, they only caught three kidnappers and missed most of them. It got tangled up in international issues and ended up fizzling out.
‘It was the most unsatisfying episode. Those vampire hunter bastards were also subtly interfering with Moon Ji-hyuk. It was frustrating and annoying to watch.’
The reason I chose this place was partly due to my personal feelings.
I can enter fictional worlds. So, I can intervene in stories I don’t like and change them to my liking.
‘Wow. There are so many containers.’
The containers are stacked neatly everywhere. There must be a system to how they’re stacked.
And some of these containers must be holding the kidnapped people. And I know the approximate location of those containers from the drama.
‘This is it.’
Six containers with the symbol Yang (敭) at the entrance. People were trapped in them.
I took out my Hwaryeon Flying Blades. I can cut through container seals easily with Yeongcheon Style, without needing a cutter.
Yeongcheon Style Practical Technique, Killing Sound.
A small ting sound rang out, and the container seal was cut.
‘It still made a sound though. I wonder if it won’t make a sound if I level up Yeongcheon Style more.’
I opened the container door.
The kidnapped people stared at me. There were seven of them. Their arms and legs were tightly bound with rope, they were squatting on the floor, and their mouths were covered with duct tape.
Two were men, and the rest were women. Among them was a girl who didn’t even look ten years old.
‘They’re all above average in looks.’
Both the men and women were good-looking. I could guess what they would be used for. And if they became useless, they would probably have their organs harvested.
“Hello, everyone. Happy Halloween!”
I greeted them brightly.
“Mmph! Ughh!”
“Mmph! Mmph!”
Their intense reactions were touching. It seemed like they knew who I was. Well, most citizens of South Korea would know me.
“Trick or treat!”
They looked at me as if they were dumbfounded.
“It doesn’t look like you’ll give me candy, so I guess I’ll have to play a trick.”
I chuckled and approached them, swinging my blade. I cut the ropes binding their arms and legs. They could take off the duct tape on their mouths themselves.
When rescuing pretty women, I subtly touched their chests or butts. They didn’t resist. They had probably been trapped for two days, so they didn’t have the strength to resist, and I was their savior.
‘Ah. This woman. She has big boobs. F cup. I wonder if she’d give me her number if I asked?’
I only thought it. I had things to do right now.
“Th-thank you for saving us. Red Light!”
“Thank you!”
I left their thanks behind and moved to the next container. They kept bowing and repeating their thanks, but I wasn’t moved. I could also give empty thanks.
It was when I opened the third container and rescued the people that I heard the sound of a helicopter in the sky.
‘The police?’
No, it was a public broadcasting station’s helicopter. The broadcasting station was moving faster than I expected. It was good for me.
A cameraman sitting on the helicopter was filming me. I slowly waved at them and moved to another container.
‘The police are screwed. Heh heh.’
The police treat me as a crazy murderer and a vicious terrorist. The news always says that Red Light is just a criminal, not a dark hero.
It had an effect.
Until now.
‘What will the people watching the live broadcast think now?’
Red Light is rescuing human trafficking victims. Meanwhile, the police knew nothing about the human trafficking crime organization. They also did a sloppy job investigating the missing persons. They’ll be torn apart, and trust in the police will fall.
‘There will be more people praising me on the internet. Heh heh heh.’
I rescued everyone trapped in the containers and said to them.
“The police will be here soon. Explain the situation to them well. And don’t hide anything from the reporters, tell them what happened. There shouldn’t be any more victims like you. Shed some tears during the interview, okay? Tears are the biggest evidence, right? Well then. I’m off. I have things to do.”
I started running. My goal is the passenger ship heading to China tonight.
‘The guys on the cargo ship are just small fry. The ones who can be called executives are on the passenger ship.’
They’re the ones Moon Ji-hyuk missed in the original story.
Tonight, the passenger ship will be stained with blood. The blood of the Chinese human traffickers and the vampire hunters who are rushing to kill me.
‘What? Did they realize?’
When I arrived at the port, the passenger ship was slowly moving. It seemed like they had realized.
It’s not strange.
The internet is already in chaos because of me, and the events at Incheon Port are being broadcast live on TV.
The moment they saw me rescuing the kidnapped people from the containers, they must have realized they were screwed. The captain is also on their side, so he must have decided to just leave.
‘But you guys are already screwed beyond repair.’
From the moment they realized I was heading to Incheon Port, the Coast Guard would have started moving. And since the passenger ship suddenly departed, the police would have also realized something about the ship.
Above all, this incident is being broadcast live. The police can’t afford to miss those guys, even more than catching me.
‘Just because you left, do you think I can’t go?’
I took out my smartphone. There was a message from Choi Sun-mi.
‘Indeed.’
After quickly reading the message, I took out my electric bike from my inventory and got on it. The helicopter was filming me, but I didn’t care. Just because my abilities are known, it doesn’t mean the police or the Black Cross Society can catch me. Rather, people will praise me even more for my amazing abilities.
I sped through the port on my electric bike. The nitro booster on the back spewed fire.
I pressed the red button in the center of the bike’s handlebars.
“Transform!”
Wings unfolded on both sides of the bike. Propellers emerged from the wings and began to rotate towards the ground like a drone.
The bike flew into the air. It couldn’t fly for long. This bike wasn’t meant for flying in the first place. Flying consumes a lot of power and is slow. It’s just an additional function.
‘Wow, this is awesome! Is this how ET felt!’
The bike flew and landed on top of the passenger ship. I put the bike back into my inventory and infiltrated the interior.
In my right hand was the Hwaryeon Flying Blade, and in my left hand was the Black Kite F automatic pistol. I quickly went down, not up, inside the passenger ship.
‘The guys will be gathered in the underground restricted area where ordinary people can’t go, so there’s no need to go to the captain’s cabin.’
The captain is just a collaborator. He’s more like a dealer who gets money from them and transports them to China.
The passenger ship was quiet. It was because the passengers hadn’t boarded yet.
Occasionally, I encountered crew members. The crew members screamed and trembled when they saw me. It was natural since I was holding a gun and a knife.
But sometimes there were strange crew members who looked at me with admiration.
I just ignored the ordinary crew members I encountered. They didn’t know anything. All the crew members involved in this would be gathered in the captain’s cabin.
‘I’ll kill all the Chinese people on the passenger ship. They’re all part of the human trafficking gang.’
And I found one. He encountered me while I was going down.
Bang!
As soon as I saw him, I made a bullet hole in his forehead. His corpse tumbled down the stairs.
‘I know all their faces from the drama.’
There are 12 guys I need to kill on the passenger ship. But I won’t jump to conclusions. There might be guys who didn’t appear in the drama.
“Heeok!”
When I got to the underground, the guys were gathered. They had realized I was coming to kill them and greeted me with guns.
They were yelling something in Chinese and shooting. I guess it meant die.
I took cover behind the wall and shot them one by one with my pistol when the barrage of bullets paused slightly.
‘Guns are really convenient.’
There was no better weapon than a gun for killing ordinary people. You just had to aim the gun from afar and pull the trigger.
I stopped in front of the VIP room. The guy who can be called their leader is inside.
‘Jang Gu-san. This bastard is good at using hostages.’
In the original drama, Moon Ji-hyuk had one chance to catch this guy. But he missed that chance because of a hostage.
I activated the Illusitor on my left wrist. And I opened the door.
Bang bang bang bang bang!
As if they were waiting, bullets poured out and then stopped. It was because they couldn’t see me. I didn’t miss the opportunity and went inside.
Two Chinese guys with pistols looked flustered. I put bullets in their heads.
‘Where’s Jang Gu-san?’
I found him quickly. He was in the inner room. The door was slightly open.
Jang Gu-san was sitting on the sofa. He was holding a girl and pointing a gun at her temple. He was taking hostages as I expected. There was a reason why he left the door open. It was to prevent me from just shooting him.
Behind Jang Gu-san, 20 young children were kneeling with their hands and feet tied, trembling. They were younger than the kids in the containers. They looked about 6 or 7 years old and were all healthy.
“Please save me. Please save me.”
“Be quiet.”
Jang Gu-san said in a low voice. And looking at the door, he shouted.
“Red Light! I know you’re here! You must have come to save the children! Don’t even think about playing tricks! The children’s lives are in my hands.”
Bang!
The fired bullet pierced the bastard’s forehead. I was tired of listening, so I just shot him.
Jang Gu-san knew I was nearby, but he didn’t know I was invisible.
I didn’t bother to reveal myself to the children.
‘The police will rescue them soon enough.’
I had relieved the frustration and annoyance I felt when watching the human trafficking episode. I went up to the upper deck of the passenger ship with satisfaction. I looked at the situation outside from the hallway.
The passenger ship that was trying to escape to China had stopped. As expected, the Coast Guard had arrived and surrounded it. Helicopters were even hovering in the air. The broadcasting station’s helicopter was nowhere to be seen. It seemed like the government had intervened.
The police special forces were infiltrating the passenger ship. I remembered the message Choi Sun-mi sent me earlier.
‘According to Choi Sun-mi’s information, those are vampire hunters pretending to be police special forces.’
The passenger ship will become a battlefield. The winner will obviously be me.
‘I’ll show them the terror of the Illusitor and Yeongcheon Style.’
I began to move stealthily inside the passenger ship.
•••
The police special forces.
No, the vampire hunters pretending to be police special forces had successfully infiltrated the passenger ship via helicopters and ships.
The familiar voice of a man was heard in the ear of vampire hunter Shin Dae-jun.
〉Don’t act rashly! Red Light is a dangerous guy! Individual actions are not allowed. Always act with your teammates!
It was the voice of Ki Han-jun, the combat commander of the Korean Black Cross Society. He was commanding the vampire hunters.
Shin Dae-jun looked around. Including himself, there were a total of 12 people in a team. Shin Dae-jun was the leader of team 4 among them.
They had been receiving specialized training every day just to kill one vampire. But why? Shin Dae-jun felt a vague sense of unease.
〉Team 1, Area A confirmed. All clear!
〉Team 6, Area B confirmed. All clear!
〉Team 3, Area D confirmed. All clear!
〉Team 2, Area C confirmed. Signs of battle found!
“Team 4, Area E confirmed. All… Ugh!”
Shin Dae-jun screamed. A red blade was embedded in his neck. In front of his wide eyes was a man wearing a ridiculous clown mask.
“Why did you stop talking? Should I say it for you? Team 4, Area E confirmed. Red Light is here!”
