How the Tutor Survives 29

Chapter 29 – Lull

You can see the white ceiling.

A voice is heard from the side.

It wasn’t the fighting sound I had last remembered, but a more profound voice.

Two middle-aged men were standing by the window and talking.

It was difficult even to just stand up as if all strength had been lost.

I barely got up and leaned my back on the bed.

Among the two men we were talking to, a man in a white coat looked at me and he came straight towards me.

“How are you feeling?”

My body wasn’t strong enough yet, and something felt empty, but I didn’t know my current situation.

I decided to ask about it first.

“Where am I now?”

“It’s a hospital.”

It was understandable because he was wearing a white coat and the clothes that patients would wear.

There were many things I wanted to ask, but thoughts were swirling around in my head.

“How long have I been there?”

“From the day I arrived at the hospital, a little over two weeks have passed.”

Have you been down for two weeks?

There were so many things I wanted to know, but my mouth was only one.

The doctor saw my expression and spoke first.

“When he came, he was bleeding a little bit, so it was almost dangerous. If he had come a little later, he could have died.”

My head is confused.

Goseong, sword, blood and heina.

“Who brought me here?”

She seemed to have to meet her. She is probably the one who knows the situation best.

“Two women brought them… I can’t remember the details, but one was blue-haired.”

It was right that she brought me.

“Where is he now?”

The doctor gave me a slightly bitter look and told me.

“I came and saw the patient for three days. Then he went somewhere and hasn’t returned since.”

Where did you go?

The doctor immediately left the room, leaving me and a middle-aged man in her room.

It was getting dark, so I couldn’t see him properly.

He walked in front of me

It was someone I knew.

Seria’s father, head of the Feroze family. It was Hilbert von Ferroz.

I didn’t know why he was here, but I thought he knew something, so he opened his mouth.

“Why are you here?”

It was such a cold tone that I was surprised to myself. I wonder if this is the tone of the person asking the question.

But he didn’t seem to care, and he started divulging information to me.

“My daughter called. She said you were in the hospital.”

That’s enough to move the head of the Fellowes family?

I don’t know much about politics, but I knew how ridiculous this was.

Perhaps I was making a nonsense face, so he quickly opened his mouth.

“Listen to the end, but it’s not that there was no relationship at all, and personally, I was patronizing you because I liked you.”

I could cool down a bit. I just wondered what kind of line he was talking about.

“Do you know what kind of kindness is…?”

“It’s nothing special, we just decided to cover the hospital bills until you’re discharged.”

You don’t have to unconditionally refuse a favor without reason, but it seemed like you should be suspicious at least once.

“Why… Why do you go this far?”

Looking at it now, I am the only patient in this room. Seeing that the doctor came separately, he seemed to have spent quite a bit of money.

I didn’t know what to expect or what to offer, but I decided to express my gratitude for the favor anyway.

“We’ll talk about the rest when you’re all well.”

He left the room at the last word.

It was confusing.

I have no idea what’s going on around me.

I wish someone would tell me

I felt as if I was intentionally hiding something.

The door opened once more and someone came in.

I raised my head. It was Seria who was there.

“Hello, teacher. Are you feeling better?”

Although she wasn’t in the mood to see her very much

She, too, she probably took me here and she held me to this hospital room, so she felt like she should express her gratitude.

“Thank you.”

“No, sir.”

I couldn’t think of anything to say.

A lot of thoughts come and go.

Most of them were those thoughts that I judged to be meaningless.

“Thank you for coming this far. But for now, why don’t we talk about it next time?”

She felt that talking to her would intensify her feelings.

Something kept popping up in my mind, but I couldn’t quite remember it.

She bowed her head in understanding and left without a word.

The person I wanted to meet right now was Heina.

She had something to say to her, but it was a series of disappearances.

It wasn’t long before she met her again.

Name: Edward Weiss

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Doctor’s opinion:

Abdominal cuts are almost always cured with continued treatment.
However, due to an unknown cause, some damage to memory is seen.
At the same time as finishing treatment, it seems that psychological problems should be looked into.
It is believed that medical care is needed right now.

Got a call

The sender was from the island’s guards.

It wouldn’t have come for no reason, so it must have been something related to me.

He called the nurse, explained the situation, and asked what to do.

She said it didn’t seem like a problem she could handle, so she went out and she called a doctor.

“In my personal opinion, I don’t really want to send patients out…”

He stuttered his words and then asked me as if he had come to a conclusion.

“If you think you really need to go, I won’t stop you.”

It seemed like I had to go.

It was something I had to face someday and was destined to accept.

My choice was to face the truth.

She knew something I didn’t know.

She was able to fill in the gaps between her fragmentary memories.

“For now, I’m not fully recovered yet, so feel free to go out, but please come to the hospital instead of going home.”

Kindness shown by the doctor.

I had a feeling that something was hiding in that kindness.

Something seemed to be broken.

Not being able to take the obvious for granted wasn’t a very good feeling.

Now I don’t know what is right and what is wrong.

It felt like something was stuck.

I really missed Magic Grass today.

Visited the guards

As soon as I revealed my identity and gave my reason, a person came out and greeted me.

“Is that Mr. Edward Weiss?”

He looked more like a soldier than an investigator, but he didn’t care.

“The one who called the teacher is waiting inside.”

Teacher.

These people also call me teacher.

Waiting for me was a woman.

She joked to me that she was not supposed to do it, but somehow she was doing it.

Didn’t want to hear

Investigators soon began to proceed with what they were supposed to do.

As a result, nothing happened there.

Simple ejaculation.

I could have said that over and over again, even through the night.

That wasn’t what I needed.

“Is she here?”

“There is, but in principle, interviews with the suspect are not allowed.”

Anger rose from the depths of my heart, but I held it tight because they were also doing their job.

I gave up and tried to go back, but soon I heard a voice behind me, and the person who guided me came back to me.

“Originally, it was not allowed, but the investigator gave permission ex officio.”

She followed him to the corner of the building.

There was a space separated by bars.

The door opened on the other side, and a woman she could never forget appeared before her eyes.

She sat down on the chair opposite her.

I also sat on a chair in front of him.

He left only to say that he would wait outside, closed the door and left.

It was time for just the two of us.

There was a lot of time for just the two of us, but the atmosphere now was somehow different.

I thought of many questions on the way, but couldn’t say anything.

As if someone had forcibly closed their mouths.

She looked at me and immediately burst into tears.

I couldn’t get my mind off of it.

Should I be resentful?

Or should I ask all the circumstances?

Numerous choices, none of which answered.

Silence filled the divided space.

The allotted time has passed.

I got up from my seat.

She was still weeping.

She turned and walked towards the door.

I wanted to turn around again, but at the moment I thought everything would go wrong, so I went out the door with all my patience.

As soon as the door closed, I leaned against it and sat down.

You can curse at me for being an asshole who can’t even get angry.

‘Cause I’m not angry

You can curse at me for not being able to say anything.

Because I didn’t ask anything.

What she did to me was obviously wrong, but I couldn’t take her anger out on her.

Why is this?

Am I really broken?

I couldn’t do the obvious, so it seemed right that I was broken.

I don’t know anything anymore

###

There were two eyes watching Edward Weiss exit the premises.

The two were the person who had guided him earlier and the person who had asked him a few questions.

“I know that?”

A senior-looking woman asked the man.

“What are you talking about?”

“What happened to that person?”

“Isn’t it a simple sword fight?”

She told him with a look that seemed likely.

“This is why you still can’t date.”

“Isn’t the investigator also unable to do so?”

The man felt pain in the side of his shin.

“It happened in a very complicated love relationship.”

She took a deep breath and said.

“Love is so scary, so scary.”
