Chapter 566 – #117_Sleeping With The Enemy (2)
#566
1.
To celebrate the reunion with her friend after ten years, Luelle threw a lavish banquet.
Though, the attendees were just Luelle, Siwoo, Dorothy, and a number of the crew.
Thanks to Anastasia, the head chef, who fully displayed her culinary skills, the dining table was laden with all sorts of delicacies, enough to break the legs of the table. Luelle even brought out her precious whiskey, which she usually saved, to welcome Dorothy’s arrival.
They ate, drank, and talked in a lively atmosphere, and after the meal, they all gathered in the lounge to play poker. It was a festive mood, but Siwoo’s attention was focused on observing Dorothy.
She believed that by carefully watching her gaze, tone, and attitude toward Luelle, she could discern her true nature and intentions, which she was still unsure of.
But was it because she was a thorough public figure, or was she completely misunderstanding and going down the wrong path?
There was nothing particularly unusual.
The only thing she learned was that Dorothy seemed to get along quite well with Luelle.
“Your Majesty, get a grip.”
“Huuuuum… I’m not… drunk yet…”
Luelle, who had drunk so much that she was completely out of it.
For a spirit to get to this state, she would have to drink an entire crate of alcohol.
And Luelle had accomplished that difficult feat, so she couldn’t even walk straight and was awkwardly clinging to Siwoo.
Dorothy, who was sitting on the sofa and shuffling cards as a habit, chuckled at the sight.
“You two are close~ Should I help?”
“It’s alright. Your Majesty, I’ll escort you to your room.”
“Ummm… tonight… come to my bedchamber…”
Luelle’s slurred drunken ramblings.
Normally, she would have just let it slide, but the problem was that there was an uncomfortable spectator.
Siwoo glanced at the sofa with a disgruntled expression, and Dorothy raised both hands with an intriguing look, teasingly saying.
“I won’t disturb you~”
Siwoo, not feeling it was worth responding to, half-carried Luelle to the bedroom.
Even after becoming a witch, she had been getting regular sleep, but for a while, sleeping was out of the question.
She didn’t know what Dorothy might do while Luelle and Siwoo were asleep.
For the same reason, the trials were also temporarily suspended, and she planned to persuade Luelle not to start the trials.
If that was the case, then her remaining schedule would be to keep an eye on Dorothy while Luelle was asleep to prevent her from doing anything untoward.
Just as she was about to get up after laying her on the wide bed, Luelle grabbed her sleeve.
Her face was flushed with intoxication.
“Clothes… pajamas… pajamas…”
“You want to change?”
“Ung… ung…”
Even in her hazy state, the queen was determined to wear her pajamas to sleep.
When she took out her pajamas from the closet, she immediately started acting like a spoiled child.
“Dress me, you.”
“Understood. Hands up. Hands up.”
“Hands up…”
Luelle sat on the edge of the bed, swaying and raising her arms.
Siwoo took off her top, unhooked her bra, and removed it.
The marks left by the wire made it feel strangely sensual, as if she had been stripped bare.
Siwoo tried to ignore her softly swaying breasts and helped her into her pajama dress, and Luelle shook her head, tidying her disheveled hair.
Just as she was about to get up after neatly taking off her pants, she grabbed her sleeve again.
“Siwoo.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“I wish… Siwoo would lay me down…”
Siwoo had never seen Luelle this drunk before, and it seemed that her drunken habit was to become a huge spoiled child.
Even as she swayed from side to side, unable to open her eyes properly, her voice was filled with an unusual cuteness.
“Yes, yes, I’ll lay you down.”
She realized that just because a bed was wide didn’t necessarily mean it was comfortable, after sleeping in her bed.
Of course, there was the advantage that no matter how bad her sleeping habits were, she would never fall out of bed, but if you wanted to lie down in the middle, you had to roll around several times.
Eventually, she took off her shoes, picked her up, and laid her in the center of the bed.
“Is that okay now?”
“Ung… It’s good.”
“I’ll stay up a little longer. Please go to sleep first.”
Just as she was about to leave, Luelle’s small hand grabbed her sleeve again.
“Siwoo.”
“Yes.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Pardon?”
She was wondering what was going on after they had been having so much fun eating and drinking, and Luelle mumbled.
“I’m sorry… for slapping you… I trust you, but it seemed like you didn’t trust me, so I got impatient.”
“It wasn’t really like that.”
“I know. I must have misunderstood on my own.”
It seemed she was talking about what happened this morning.
Of course, she hadn’t been bothered by it at all, so she stroked her head.
“It’s okay. It didn’t hurt much.”
“And… and, it seemed like you wouldn’t hug me if I didn’t finish the trials… so I was very angry… Why? Do you not like being with me? Or are you deliberately teasing me because I have to finish the trials quickly to go back?”
Now she realized why Luelle had been sulking lately.
There was no other intention, and it was just a matter of timing, but she was able to hear how she had been misunderstanding.
“It wasn’t like that, so don’t worry and go to sleep.”
Luelle shook her head as if that wasn’t enough, then turned her body around.
She wiggled her hands around her waist, then flipped up the hem of her dress, revealing her plump buttocks.
The alcohol had spread to her buttocks, making them as flushed as her cheeks.
“You can… hit me as much as you want.”
“Excuse me?”
“I said you can hit my butt as much as you want… and do whatever you want.”
Could it be that she was taking what she had said jokingly earlier literally?
It was a tempting offer even for Siwoo, but today was not a good time.
She wanted to keep an eye on Dorothy, who was left alone on the ship, as soon as possible, and if possible, have a conversation with her.
“Your Majesty, I’m sorry, but today…”
She started to speak, wondering what excuse she should make.
But she didn’t need to finish her sentence.
“Koo… koo…”
Luelle had fallen asleep in dreamland with her butt exposed.
Siwoo tidied her clothes, tucked her in, and headed back to the lounge.
2.
“You’re here?”
Dorothy greeted Siwoo, lying on the sofa in a relaxed posture, as if she were in her own living room.
It didn’t seem like she had done anything sneaky in that short time, but it was rather unexpected that she was so carefree.
Between her plump lips was a cigar, which suited her hard-boiled ideology and personality.
Of course, it didn’t match her nun’s habit at all.
“You came back faster than I thought. Your body seems fine~ but is your lower half a bit weak?”
This was also not worth responding to, so she didn’t answer.
“Did you know I was coming?”
“You have a suspicious personality~ you’d want to keep an eye on a suspicious public figure. It’s perfect timing. I wanted to drink some more anyway.”
As soon as she sat down on the opposite sofa, she noticed that there was an object she hadn’t seen before on the table.
A crystal wine decanter, or more precisely, the red liquid inside.
There was no way she wouldn’t recognize that viscosity and color.
It was blood.
Moreover, it contained a very dense magical power that could not be compared to magic water.
Her vigilance instantly skyrocketed to the max.
She had spent a few hours with Dorothy, along with the cheerful Luelle, but her internal intimacy and trust were still close to zero.
And now, there was a suspicious bottle of blood.
“You caught me.”
Dorothy smiled, rather than the contents of the decanter.
However, the moment she saw her doing such a thing so openly, the sense of crisis that had risen subsided.
Given her penchant for bad taste, which was evident in her words and clothes, she thought it was possible that she had deliberately put out a suspicious object for all to see.
Besides, hadn’t she said that she was waiting for Siwoo to return?
Dorothy didn’t seem to be displeased by Siwoo’s suspicion and vigilance, but rather seemed to be enjoying teasing her.
“What is this?”
“A witch’s blood.”
“Why do you have it out?”
Instead of explaining with words, Dorothy showed her directly how to use it.
With a relaxed gesture, she placed the cigar on the holder and removed the glass stopper from the decanter of blood.
Then, she dripped the blood into a glass of whiskey on the rocks that was about half full.
The whiskey, which had originally been a bright amber color, turned a dark purple.
Dorothy sipped it without any hesitation.
It was a disgusting sight, and Siwoo’s lips twisted in disgust, and Dorothy exhaled with a strangely relaxed look, as if she were in ecstasy.
It looked like she was on drugs.
Was she teasing her, or was there really something to it?
From the moment she heard the words “witch’s blood,” the unease didn’t go away.
After staring blankly into space for a long time, Dorothy’s eyes regained their vitality.
“Do you want to drink some too?”
“No, thank you. Would you mind explaining?”
“On the way here, I met a witch I knew. She seemed to be in a bit of trouble~ so I got a blood donation in exchange for helping her.”
“A blood donation?”
She didn’t know if she wanted to say that she hadn’t killed her, or if it was a metaphorical expression.
“That friend’s blood is very unique, so if you drink it with alcohol, you get a temporary curse. Then you feel good~ and you see very pretty hallucinations. It’s like a kaleidoscope.”
“……”
It was actually a hallucinogen.
“Usually, she’s very stingy, so I can hardly ever drink it, but this much harvest is a celebration.”
“Are you saying you didn’t kill her?”
“Kill her? That’s like cutting open the belly of a goose that lays golden eggs. I don’t do~ such inefficient things.”
Dorothy chuckled with a truly cheerful look.
She had felt it before, but this person seemed like a version of Sister Periwinkle, but with a lot of moral corruption.
You could say she had the characteristics of a businessman who thoroughly pursued profit.
Or that she considered teasing people the joy of her life.
“Anyway, since you’re here~ how about being my drinking buddy?”
She was in charge of surveillance anyway, and she hadn’t been able to properly investigate since Luelle’s appearance.
In order to get a little more information, she decided to indulge in some pointless conversation.
