Chapter 43 – Preview of Part 2. Into the Deeper Darkness
The van carrying Mia was still running somewhere. The night sky was so thick with clouds that even the moonlight could not be seen. The already dark sky was even darker, like pitch black.
The gang members in her car with Mia were a man in a suit, a middle-aged man, a buck, and a hooded man. A man in a suit was driving, and a middle-aged man was sitting in the passenger seat. Mia sat curled up in her corner with her blindfold and cheek gag on. Right next to her was Buckteeth, and across from her sat Nam in a hoodie.
The buckwheat sitting next to him was cold.

At the sound of her iron door opening, she turned her head to see Nam in a hoodie coming in with dinner. It was her last dinner here. He put the rice on the table and tried to leave quietly. Then Mia’s words interrupted him.
“Wait. Please don’t go I have something to ask you.”
As he was about to open the door, he hesitated. And he slowly turned his head.
“Is that true? Is it true that my father sold me?”
Nam, in a hoodie, hesitated, recalling the puzzled look on his face. At first he pretended not to hear and tried to get out. But he couldn’t bear to do it because of his guilt.
