Chapter 56 – Clearing the Slums (5)
“Ah…”
Blood on the palms.
It must have come from the body of the meteor, and because of that, Celis’s hair turned white.
She examined Yoosung’s body. The armor was torn here and there, and it was dirty and blood was seeping out. It was particularly bad for her side, which she touched, and blood was oozing out of her, probably from a deep cut.
What should I do in this situation? I don’t know. I have to do something, but nothing comes to mind in my white hair.
“Mr. Yooseong, Ms. Yooseong… I can’t… I can’t…”
All she said was that. She hugged him and wished this wasn’t real.
“It hurts… Don’t shake it…”
Meteor’s small voice awakened Seris.
“Yoosung! Are you okay?! It’s okay, right?!”
“Don’t even shout. Head hurts…”
“Yes yes.”
“Huh…”
A meteor fell from Ceris and landed on her floor. Seris also hurriedly put her hips next to him. Yoosung looked at the wound on his side and sighed.
“Damn it, potions are expensive…”
Yoosung flicked his finger in the air. Seris, too, was frightened by what she had seen before and grabbed him.
“Oh no!”
“Seris..?”
“Doing that makes your head hurt! If your head hurts right now…”
“If I don’t do this, I will die..?”
Seris removed her hand at the speed of light. She said in a nervous voice.
“Yeah, then if you do that, Yooseong-san will be fine, right..?”
“Yeah, maybe…”
“What is flax! Surely…”
“Shut up…”
Yooseong said slightly annoyed. Seris was startled and lowered his head.
“Mi, I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, don’t just shout. Head hurts.”
Yoosung’s fingers continued to move in the air. Seris lifted her head slightly and looked at Yoosung’s face.
‘I don’t like the complexion…’
Moving his fingers, he looked with great difficulty. She felt guilty because she seemed to have made it harder for him by flustering.
“Ceris, can you close your eyes for a moment?”
“Yes.”
Cerys closed her eyes without hesitation. She wondered why she wanted to wind up, but she didn’t want to bother him.
Brilliant.
I heard something hit the floor. What?
“You can open your eyes now.”
“Yes.”
When I opened my eyes, there was a glass bottle in Yooseong’s hand that I hadn’t seen before. He frowned as he looked at the glass bottle.
“As expected, this is it. Anything else is expensive, so I can’t help it. Oh, I didn’t bring a muzzle. Damn it.”
Yooseong muttered and took off his upper body armor. I tried to take off my top, but it seemed difficult because of the pain. He looked at Ceris as he pulled down her clothes again.
“Ceris, I’m sorry, but can you help me take it off?”
“Yes!”
Seris grabbed his shirt and slowly lifted it up. The part that had been clinging to her wound was also pulled away.
“Ugh…”
“Are you sick? Sorry…”
“It’s okay, so hurry up…”
“Yes!”
Celis undressed her slowly and quickly so that Yuseong didn’t hurt as much as possible. Yoosung’s strong, muscular upper body was revealed.
Seris looked at that upper body, and she didn’t throb as usual. She just bit her lip as she watched the wounds and blood dripping from her torso.
‘Because of me…’
All those wounds were her fault. It’s because she was buried in negative thoughts and separated from him..!!
Her guilt, which was incomparable to her past, weighed on her.
Cerys couldn’t take her eyes off her meteor chest. Because the wound on her side seemed to break her heart.
Yooseong opened the lid of the glass bottle.
“I think it hurts so much…”
Yuseong took her shirt off her shirt and put it in her mouth. He sprayed a little of the contents of the vial on his side, then frowned. He said, handing Cerys her vial.
“Ceris, can you sprinkle some of this on the wound?”
“What is this…?”
“It’s called a potion, but if you apply it, the wound heals.”
“Really?!”
Yoosung nodded his head. Seris held onto the potion handed to her.
“Can I spray it like this?”
“Yes, spread it as evenly as possible.”
“Well, then I’ll do it..!”
“Huh.”
Seris spilled her potion little by little on the meteor’s wound. Every time the potion touched the wound, Yoosung’s body flinched and trembled.
Her potion went from her chest to her belly and finally to her side.
“Ugh…!!”
Yuseong bit her top strongly with her moaning in pain. Blood oozes from her top and runs down the corner of his mouth.
“Yoo, Mr. Yooseong…”
Seris trembled and stopped spilling the potion. Seeing him in pain made her unable to continue.
“Because it’s kicking… Hurry up…”
Yoosung said with a clenched collar. There were tendons sprouting from his chin. Seris closed his eyes and poured the potion back into his wounds.
“Keuheugh…”
Yooseong’s painful moans began again. Seris tried to pour all the potions into his wounds while shaking his hands, and soon the potions were all consumed.
“All right, all right. Yoosung, are you okay?”
Celis looked back with hopeful eyes, but Yuseong still looked in pain.
‘Why why?! Didn’t it get better when I applied a potion?!’
Seris looked at the wounds where he had applied his potion. The blood had stopped and small bubbles were rising from the wound. Little by little, the wound started to heal.
After seeing it, she realized. This is not a universal medicine that gets better the moment you apply it.
“Turn it off…!”
Yuseong tried to grab his side, and Seris hurriedly grabbed his hand.
“Mr. Yooseong…”
Meteor’s pain continued, and Seris looked at him with worried eyes. It was all she could do.
“Whoa…”
I don’t know how much time has passed, but Yooseong’s breathing has stabilized little by little. Seris was sincerely relieved by her, and Yoosung smiled awkwardly as he looked at her.
“Sorry, I worried you.”
“Oh, no. I… I’m more sorry…”
“Why are you crying?”
“But… But… Because of me…”
Ceris sniffled at her blissful emotions. Her shooting star rose from her seat as she petted her.
However, she staggered that her recovery was still less. Seris was frightened and supported him.
“Thank you.”
Yoosung smiled lightly and tried to walk away from her. She was better than before, but in the eyes of Seris, she was still unstable. She crouched down in front of the meteor.
“…Seris?”
“Get up.”
“No, it’s okay. Until I get up…”
“You keep staggering. I can’t because I’m anxious. Come on!”
Yuseong hesitated for a moment, then she sighed and then she leaned on her back. Seris stood up, holding a torch in her left hand and supporting him with her right.
She walked right in front of her.
“…Isn’t it heavy?”
“Yes. It’s not heavy at all.”
Seris quickly got out of the sewer and she wanted to take him to the temple. That’s why she wasn’t heavy at all.
“Right here.”
“Yes, to the right.”
She continued on her way, with Yoosung guiding her. Meanwhile he asked.
“Seris, why didn’t you follow me?”
“…”
At his question, Celis mumbled her mouth and pondered. Can I tell you this If I don’t talk, I’ll be able to live as usual even if I get scolded a little.
After much thought, she opened her mouth.
“I read the letter…”
She could feel him flinch behind her back, as if that was enough. Seris was nervous as she waited for his next words.
“How did you read it?”
“I said I wanted to learn to write, and her grandmother gave me a book to help me do it. I interpreted it that way.”
“…Okay.”
Silence continued for a while.
Yoosung broke the silence.
“Sorry. Are you resentful of me?”
“…Yes?”
Seris, startled for a moment, stopped her steps. She moved again and she told him.
“Are you resentful? I am Yoosung?”
“I lied about the contents of the letter. It shouldn’t have been, but I must have been too lazy. Sorry.”
“Oh no! I really didn’t have any resentment against Yoosung!”
“Lie.”
“…Actually, I did a little at first. But later I didn’t. Really!”
“Okay. I hope so.”
“Really…”
“I’m sorry, really.”
“Don’t keep saying things like that. I really don’t resent Yoosung. You lied because you were afraid I would be sad.”
“Ok, thanks…”
Yooseong relaxed and leaned against Seris. His head touched her shoulder. Seris was taken aback for a moment, but she pretended not to be like that and continued walking. Her heart was pounding.
As she went on without saying a word, a fork in the road appeared again.
“Mr. Yooseong, where should we go from here?”
“…”
“Yooseong..?”
“…”
No answer. Seris felt something strange.
“Mr. Yooseong, Ms. Yooseong?!”
Lightly brushed his body. Something wet flowed down the right arm that was supporting him.
“…Uh?”
It was easy to infer what it was. Seris trembled with anxiety and stiffened as it was. At that time, fortunately, Yooseong looked ahead and said.
“Left…”
“Mr. Yooseong?! Are you okay?!”
“Stop screaming… My head hurts…”
The condition looked very bad. Seris started running.
“Seris, don’t run. It hurts…”
“Is this the time to argue about that?! Here, where should I go?”
“Right…”
Yoosung’s voice became weaker and weaker as he ran and asked for directions. Seris tried to bury her uneasy feelings and ran looking forward.
The entrance to the sewer was visible.
“Yoosung, you can go out now. Be patient!”
“…”
“Mr. Yooseong?”
Yoosung did not answer as he slumped on her shoulder.
“Yoosung? Answer, give me an answer. Mr. Yooseong?!”
There is no slight movement.
“No…”
Seris jumped quickly. On the way, she slipped and almost fell, but she did not slow down. She got out of the sewer.
“Uh? Hey, work isn’t over yet… Huh?”
I heard the voices of the adventurers guarding the entrance, but I ignored them and ran.
“No no…”
As she ran, her left arm was drenched in blood.
Will she lose him like this?
The fear only grew.
‘No no.’
Deny and run
Her breathing becomes rough and her arms supporting him ache, but it doesn’t matter. She is muttered by the people around her, but she doesn’t even care.
The priority right now is the temple.
‘Where are you, where are you..!!’
I’ve been looking around, I think I’ve seen it, but I can’t see it. Nervously, she continued to look around.
‘Found!’
A huge white building!
I ran there with all my might. I passed the entrance of the temple and went inside.
“Who! Someone please help! There is an injured person here!!”
A nun came running.
“Sister?!”
Cerris was also an acquaintance. She’s obviously a nun who was in Bahran, so why is she here..?
No, that’s not what’s important now.
“Sue, Sister, help me. Yoosung-san, Yooseong-san…!!”
Her throat was choking and she couldn’t speak. Fortunately, the nun said in a calm tone that she realized the situation.
“Sister, calm down and put him down slowly. Yes, so slowly…”
The nun examined the meteor she had laid down on her floor. When her pretty face frowned a little, Seris grabbed her hand.
“Sister… Yoosung… Please save our Yoosung… Please, please… That, do, do… I’ll give you any amount of money…”
Cerys pulled her purse from her bosom with her trembling hands. She said in a desperate voice and handed the nun her purse.
The nun took Ceris’s hand with both hers.
“Are you okay. I’ll definitely save you, so calm down a little bit. Yes?”
“Yes, yes… Please… Please…”
The nun let go of Ceris’s hand and placed her hand on her meteor wound. Raising her divine power, she prayed to the god.
The miracle of God was manifested with pure white light.
The bleeding stopped, and the wound quickly healed. It was a speed that could not be compared to the potion I had applied earlier.
It didn’t take long for the wound to heal completely.
“Ah Yoosung..!!”
Seris held Yoosung’s hand tightly with a relieved voice. Then she turned back to the nun and bowed her head.
“Thank you! How should I repay this grace… Ah! Here is the offering!”
Cerys handed the nun her entire purse. The nun smiled bitterly and shook her head.
“It’s okay.”
“Oh, no. I’m fine, please accept it.”
The nun shook her hand and she called the nuns around.
“Take her brother and her sister to the stability room. Sister, brother, let’s go to the stable room. A cold floor is bad for patients.”
“Ah yes! But this…”
When Ceris tried to hand her the moneybag again, she was pushed away by the nun. Celis put her money bag back into her bosom.
Three nuns tried to load the meteor on a stretcher.
“Are you okay. I will take it.”
Seris stopped them and raised the meteor.
“Where should I go?”
“Uh…Follow me.”
After a brief moment of surprise, the nuns ushered Ceris into her stability room. Cerys went into the stable room and she put Meteor on the bed.
“Call me anytime if you need anything.”
“Thank you!”
Seris bowed her back toward the nuns. The nuns walked out of the stable with a smile.
Cerys confirmed that the nuns had left and then looked at the meteor. Her complexion was much better than before. She brought her ear to her meteor chest. His heartbeat was clearly audible. It means he’s alive.
‘Thank god…’
She was relieved, and then the tears she had been holding back burst out.
“Hey… I’m glad, I’m glad…”
She buried her face in his chest and she wept.
I cried for a while as it was.
After she calmed down, she wiped away her tears and looked at Yoosung’s face.
She is good looking Is it possible to be this handsome? Just looking at it makes me feel better. The corners of his mouth twitch.
Seris’ gaze, which had been laughing briskly, turned to her meteor lips.
Gulp. She swallowed.
She looked around.
She was in a single room and she had no one else with her. Cerys walked over and locked her door. She sat down by Yuseong again.
He took off her mask and laid it down on her bed.
She looked around her once more and moved her body slowly.
His face gets closer.
His lips touched hers. She pulled out her tongue and she licked his lips.
It was sweet.
