Chapter 34 – Catch the Bandit!(5)
Varian shouted.
“Shield!!!”
It was our turn. I turned to Kara before leaving.
“Even if the fort is breached, don’t come right away, and when the arrows stop, run.”
“Huh!”
Kara confidently nodded her head. I stroked her hair once and walked towards her shield.
The members of the shield team piled up their shields in layers toward the front. It’s much more effective than just holding and running.
“Hey, here, there’s a gap here.”
“Babe, please bear with that gap.”
“What? What if I wait and lose!”
“It’s going to be an idiot who can’t stand that.”
“This bastard?!”
Of course, we weren’t as experienced as the elite soldiers, so there was a mess and gaps. Still, it was much safer than not doing it.
“Advance!”
Varian shouted.
He didn’t wear a shield. He came after us with a double-edged axe.
“That bastard talks about how to cheer up, but eventually hides behind us.”
“Hey, I’ll listen.”
The adventurers were annoyed at Varian. But even that was possible because there was room for it.
“Shoot!!”
As the arrows rained down, there was no time to complain. Papabak! The arrows pierced the shield and made a bloody sound.
“Aagh!! Fuck my arms!”
An arrow pierced the shield and pierced the adventurer’s arm.
“Hey, hey! Don’t move! The formation is collapsing!!”
“Keep it off… My arm…”
The adventurer broke down in tears and bit his other arm. He endured the pain and moved on. Actually, that’s good enough.
“100 million!”
“Hey, hey, this bastard has been searched! Stop!!”
The unlucky guy was hit in the eye by an arrow that flew through the gap in his shield. He died instantly when the arrowhead hit his brain.
We stopped and retrieved his shield. The guy next to the dead man raised his shield in both his hands.
“Hee hee, fuck! Two shields! Two lives for me!”
The guy was talking crazy. Have I been consumed by fear? Well, I think I’m going to lose my mind at the sound of knocking on my arm.
“What the fuck bandits have so many arrows!”
“Looking at it earlier, it looked like it was handmade!”
“These craftsmanship bastards!”
Each adventurer roared and chewed on the bandit. But I know that it is a struggle to overcome fear.
‘It’s fortunate that no one runs away.’
It was thanks to the vicious barbarian staring back. Everyone here knew that if they ran away, they would be decapitated.
If it wasn’t for that, a few people would have already run away.
“Everything, everything is here!”
“Good!”
Upon reaching the entrance of the mountain, the adventurers cheered.
“Hey, but how do you pierce this?”
“…? Wasn’t there a way to break through?”
“I thought you guys knew.”
The adventurers looked at each other in bewilderment. I couldn’t stand to see these assholes do shit anymore.
“You assholes! Ax, chop with an axe!”
“You don’t have an axe?”
“Then use a knife, you idiot!”
Only then did the adventurers come to their senses. Each one grabbed a knife and knocked on the door. Kwajik! Kwajik! The door was starting to get a little scratched.
“It’s frustrating. Get out of the way.”
Varian passed the adventurers and stepped forward. She holds her stance with a two-handed axe. Tendons sprouted from his forearms.
“Huh!”
Wield it as is Kwajik!! There was a sound of destruction that was incomparable to other adventurers. His double-edged ax broke through the door.
“Huh!”
Varian drew his ax and fired again. After repeating this five times, the latch on the door became tattered. He kicked the door Tuduk. The doorknob fell off.
“Keeeeek!!! I broke through the door!!!!”
“These fuckers!!! It’s all over!!!”
Fear turned to madness as the door opened and the faces of the bandits were revealed. For the adventurers now, there was no formation or anything. You will want to rip any bandit you see limb from limb.
I turned my gaze to the watchtower.
‘Three.’
Three were still at the top. I caught an adventurer who was going crazy.
“Hey, come over there with me.”
“What? It’s far away!”
“Kill them and scatter their organs!”
“That’s good!”
We teamed up and ran up to the watchtower.
“This is a baby behind you !!!!”
The adventurer who climbed ahead of me shouted. The bandit on the steps of the watchtower fired an arrow. Pak! Embedded in the adventurer’s shield.
“This bastard is going to make me a skewer!”
An adventurer rushed at the bandit who shot the bow. I passed both of them.
There are still two left.
I threw my shield at one and ran to the other.
He let go of his bow and pulled out his machete. I twisted my upper body to avoid being stabbed at me. He grabbed his stabbed arm. Stab the stomach with a dagger.
“Cheuk..!”
A crumbling bandit. He shoved the dagger in his throat. It was softer than before, perhaps thanks to the ‘Dangga’s dagger technique’.
[You have acquired 10 Karma.]
“You bastard!”
Another guy came swinging a curved sword. Blocked by a dismembered corpse. It was pushed along with his corpse.
“Uh, huh?!”
The guy bumped into the railing. I pushed further and it crashed with his corpse.
“Aaaaagh!”
Kwajik!
The fallen man’s head was crushed.
[Acquired 10 Karma.]
I leaned against the railing and looked down. I saw Kara running towards me from afar.
Haha!! Do you see this!! You guys are allies!!”
When I asked to do it, I came down from the watchtower, leaving behind a madman who was actually doing it. I waited for Kara at the entrance.
“Brother!”
Kara has arrived. He put her hand on her lap and gasped, catching her breath.
“You should have come slowly.”
“I’m the last one…”
“Is it?”
Come to think of it, there were no other adventurers around her. Kara did well when I told her to come when the arrow stopped.
“Good job. Then let’s go in.”
“Huh!”
The living quarters were filled with blood and screams. We went into it
* * *
“Queue… It hurts a little bit…”
“사내새끼가 엄살은.”
“Keah!!”
“Hey, be still… What’s the matter, why are you flipping your eyes?”
The adventurer who was wrapping the bandages frowned. Then she started bandaging again.
I looked at it and looked away.
‘I’m glad you weren’t hurt.’
I did a good job in moderation. I caught enough bandits, so it’s okay. I opened the status window and checked the remaining karma.
Residual Karma: 60
‘It’s a bit disappointing.’
I could have earned more.
Because the adventurers who lost their minds slaughtered the bandits, they couldn’t earn much.
“No, some bastard set it on fire!”
“Shut up and spray some water!”
Although now he is paying the price for that madness.
‘Still, I still have a chance to earn more.’
I turned to the captured bandits. The number exceeded twenty.
‘200 Karma.’
I’ll ask if I can kill him later when he’s executed. I smiled at the bandits. I heard Kara’s moan from the side.
“Mmm…”
She was holding her hand with a dissatisfied face.
“What’s the matter?”
“Oppa, aren’t those people bad people?”
Kara pointed at the bandits. I nodded.
“They are very bad guys.”
“Right? But it’s weird I killed the bad guys and it makes me feel bad. Why are you doing this?”
Kara looked at the palm of her hand, which was holding her hand.
I was a bit troubled. She said while stroking her hair.
“That’s because Kara, you’re so nice.”
“Because I am nice?”
“Huh. Look at the people here Do you see someone who looks as bad as you?”
Kara looked around. She then pointed to one person.
“Does he look very upset?”
“He got an arrow in her knee. You must be sad at the thought of looking for a security guard job.”
“How do you become a guard when you get shot in the knee by an arrow?”
“Huh?”
I couldn’t answer right away and narrowed my brows.
“I think I heard that somewhere… I don’t know why.”
“What is that.”
Kara smiled and laughed. I was about to laugh, but the bandit boss opened his mouth.
“Ku-k-k-k-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-, yes, laugh a lot while you can. You’ll soon become a body that won’t even make you laugh.”
The eyes of the adventurers focused on the bandit leader. Then he started laughing even louder.
‘Again?’
There are many psychopaths today. A sigh came out.
“You fucking asshole.”
“Have you lost your mind because of being robbed?”
Adventurers threw stones. There were also guys who beat them directly.
‘Uh, I shouldn’t be like that.’
If you die then it’s a waste of karma. I approached the beating adventurers and stood in their way.
“Who are you to take this bastard’s side?”
“Do you want to be beaten too?”
The adventurers looked at me and made an impression. The bandit boss chuckled.
“You lucky guy. I will save you especially.”
What they are talking about is beyond my concern. I turned my head towards Varian.
“Varian-nim, can I kill these guys?”
“Hmm?”
Varian gave a slightly startled look, then she replied with a grin.
“Yes, do as you please.”
“Then…”
I raised my dagger. An adventurer grabbed my arm and hurriedly stopped me.
“Why?”
“You can’t possibly hoard the money…”
“You can share it. Do not disturb.”
“Uh, uh…”
I cut off his arm and grabbed the dagger in reverse. The bandit leader’s face went pale.
“Oh, hey! Criminals caught alive are usually hanged! I will be punished through due process in the city!”
“What is the law of a bandit bastard?”
I thrust the dagger into the noisy throat. Twisted
[You have acquired 20 Karma.]
Is it because he’s a boss? It gives 20 karma each.
‘It’s Hyeja.’
The other bandits were also killed one by one.
“Sah, save me!”
“Please let me be protected by the law!”
“Me, I like hanging! I like hanging!!”
It was a little annoying because they ran amok. I killed them one by one and opened the status window.

‘280 Karma.’
“It’s fine.”
A smile came out of nowhere.
I turned off the status window and turned around. Adventurers were standing there staring at the corpses of bandits.
“That’s because the money is divided equally.”
“Uh? Uh…”
“What are you doing? Get out of the way.”
“Yeah, yeah…”
Adventurers got out of the way. I passed them and approached Kara.
“Kara, let’s rest for a while somewhere other than here.”
“Huh.”
I took Kara and found a shady spot. Kara stared at me as she walked.
“What’s the matter?”
“Huh?”
“Please keep looking.”
“Ah…”
Kara looked behind her once. This is where the bodies of the bandits are. She looked up at me and opened her mouth.
“You know when my brother kills those bad guys.”
“Huh?”
“I was a little scared then.”
Kara looked up at me and she said. I was bewildered.
“Were you scared?”
“Somehow… I guess it’s like he’s not your usual older brother… Anyway, that’s what it felt like.”
“…Is it still like that?”
“No! I’m just an older brother now!”
Kara laughed. I smiled lightly and stroked her hair.
“Sorry, I’ll be careful next time.”
“Huh! It’s a promise! Because I prefer a kind brother to a scary one.”
Kara held out her little finger. I wanted to do this, but she persisted.
“Promise!”
“I get it, I get it.”
I put my little finger on Kara’s little finger. She sighed and exhaled as if relieved.
“…Were you that scared?”
“Huh. I laughed every time the bad guy died one by one, it was a little creepy!”
“…Uh, yes…”
I trimmed the corners of my mouth.
‘Because of karma…’
I laughed with joy because of karma, but other people didn’t know that. It may seem strange.
‘Somehow, the expression of the adventurers was not good.’
Maybe it’s a strange rumor.
As I was worrying, I heard someone’s cry.
“Wolves! A wolf has appeared!!”
