Chapter 611 – #123_Deneb’S Melancholy (6)
#611
1.
Peaceful days flowed by.
They were harmonious days, like the spring sunshine showering down on budding new sprouts.
In the early morning hours, I helped Amelia with her perfume-making process and did some personal studying.
Unlike the beginning, things were becoming more systematic, so it didn’t take as much time as before.
Around noon, I sparred with my teacher.
This was to utilize the Angel’s Ring I had obtained from Dorothy.
The consumption was high, but the fact that it could buff all my skills and lead to a sure-fire finishing blow was nothing short of a stroke of luck.
Originally, Siwoo’s biggest weakness was that his ultimate moves were somewhat lacking due to his piecemeal collection of magnetic magic.
In the evenings after sparring, we all ate together, and afterward, I spent my days hanging out with Sharon, the twins, and Llyue.
Llyue’s healing was also on track, and she would be ready to take on another trial in about three days.
“Should I start making some money?”
Now, all that was left were the spirit body issues and the 8 billion debt.
This was quite a headache.
At first, I tried to consult with Periwinkle, but since she had been absent for a long time, I sought out Takasho for advice.
“Still doing well, I see.”
And so, I arrived at Rose Glass, Gehenna’s only host bar, around evening.
As soon as I opened the door, the refined classical music flowing from the gramophone, the laughter of the witches, and the sweet, powdery scent made my head spin.
The conversations and laughter flowing from between the partitions showed that Rose Glass was still thriving.
It would be troublesome if the witches’ attention was focused on me.
I headed to Takasho’s office, having contacted him in advance.
“Yo, brother, you came earlier than I thought.”
Takasho flashed a bright white smile and raised his hand.
It had been a while since I’d been to the Madam’s office, and the atmosphere felt much more sophisticated.
Takasho’s clothes also felt a step up in quality.
“Looks like you’re doing well these days?”
“Of course, who do you think I am? The great Mimaya Takasho. Not as good as Shin Siwoo, but the most successful slave in history.”
After a light hug, the two of us sat on the sofa.
The way he naturally crossed his legs and swaggered made him look like a full-fledged boss now.
“What’s up? You asked to see me.”
“I have something to consult about.”
“Consult? If it’s about a woman, I’ll kill you?”
Takasho bared his teeth like an angry monkey, but he was good at giving advice, so I told him about my problem.
Takasho, who was puffing on a thick cigar and trying to look cool, nodded as if he understood the situation.
“Hmm, so you need money? 10,000 gold pounds? Should I lend it to you?”
“Can you just lend it like that?”
“Of course, you’re my brother, even if we don’t share blood.”
“Thanks for the sentiment. But like I said, this is a kind of test, so I want to prove myself.”
I couldn’t count how many times I had relied on my mother-in-law so far.
The amount was probably even more uncountable.
I didn’t want to be seen as a son-in-law who was just leeching off her, especially with so many lovers.
I also didn’t have the face to keep relying on her.
“That’s important too. A man needs to have the ability to hold onto his wife even after marriage. Shin Siwoo, that bastard, has really become amazing.”
“What do you mean?”
Takasho sighed deeply and asked carefully.
“Hey, could I possibly see a picture of the Deep Sea Witch? I’m not asking for anything lewd, of course.”
“I don’t see why not.”
He looked like a golden boy, but Takasho was very good at keeping his boundaries.
Before I started dating Amelia, he would joke about ‘Tell me about banging Amelia’s assistant professor!’ or ‘Collect some of her blonde pubic hair for me!’ but once we were actually dating, he didn’t say a word. And when Sharon came to visit, he kept his distance.
“Here.”
“Oh.”
Recently, Llyue had developed a new hobby.
She would take Siwoo’s smartphone and diligently take pictures.
For Llyue, who had spent her entire life in a submarine, everything in the world seemed mysterious.
The photo album was filled with pictures of the sky, moon, flowers, clovers, and food, taken as she saw them, without any thought to focus, angle, or composition.
Among them, I showed him a picture taken in front of the twins’ dressing room mirror.
It looked like she had taken pictures while trying on various clothes.
It was a clumsy photo, as if taken by someone using a smartphone for the first time, with no filters or anything.
The only technique she used was to put her hands neatly in front of her chest.
But the beauty of the subject was too outstanding to be hidden by her clumsy skills.
It was clear that she had taken the pictures haphazardly, but they looked like a photoshoot without any of the usual unflattering angles.
“Wow… this, this, you Korean bastard. I hope you get erectile dysfunction.”
Takasho kept exclaiming in admiration and cursing as he was mesmerized by Llyue’s picture.
But perhaps because he had been deceived multiple times before, Takasho didn’t get too angry.
“With this, you could easily pay off that 8 billion debt. I’d sell my organs for this. I’m so jealous… Shin Siwoo… you bastard…”
Instead, Takasho shed tears as if he was frustrated.
“By the way, this person also seems to have quite the personality.”
“What do you mean?”
“Just by looking at her, you can tell she has a queenly aura, right?”
“A queen?”
“You can tell from the picture. Her vibe is just like Assistant Professor Amelia.”
After hearing Takasho’s words, I looked at the picture again.
Her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and her eyes were slightly narrowed as she focused on taking the picture.
Her expression was stiff and tense, without a smile.
On top of that, her dark navy hair and deep blue eyes gave her an inherently dignified look.
If you only looked at the picture, it was like, ‘What if the Northern Duke was gender-swapped?’
Of course, now she was more like a younger sister who needed to be taken care of, but when I first saw Llyue, I was quite intimidated.
“I thought it would be good for you, but I didn’t want you to be this successful.”
“You’re also having a blast with the witches, right?”
“Ah, yeah, about that. I don’t think I can do that anymore.”
“Why? Because of your balls?”
“I’m getting married soon.”
“Really? Congratulations.”
I thought it was obviously a lie, so I brushed it off, but Takasho’s atmosphere was quite serious.
“Wait, seriously?”
“Yeah, with Count Adonai in May this year.”
“Wow…”
Takasho, who used to cry that marriage was the tomb of life, was getting married.
And he was getting married to a count of Gehenna, after starting as a slave. It was hard to believe.
But I couldn’t bring myself to offer my congratulations right away.
Takasho’s situation was different from Siwoo’s.
And who was Count Adonai?
She was the super-boss who had provided Takasho with business funds on the condition that he sign a waiver of bodily autonomy.
Even if this marriage wasn’t what Takasho wanted, it could still be forced.
“Why are you so serious?”
“No, congratulations. But are you really okay?”
“Yeah, actually, we got closer while talking about various business-related things. Now we’re so close that we’d die without each other.”
“You bastard! Congratulations!”
It was the best news I had heard recently, so I was happy for him as if it were my own.
“I’ve been getting tricked every day, so I want to brag too. Should I show you a picture?”
“Of course, man! Why didn’t you say so earlier!”
Takasho rubbed the bottom of his nose as if he was embarrassed, and he was grinning as if he finally had something to brag about.
Takasho naturally took a picture out of an envelope in the drawer.
It showed Takasho wearing a dog collar and panties, with one leg raised.
“What the hell?”
“That’s not it. This is it.”
“Hey, you bastard. My eyes.”
Takasho casually put the picture away and took out another one.
“This is it.”
It showed Count Adonai, whom I had only heard rumors about.
Takasho had said that Llyue seemed strong-willed, but she was nothing compared to Count Adonai.
She had the vibe of a sexy female executive from a superhero show.
It was quite a suggestive picture of her wearing only tight leather pants.
Count Adonai was spreading her legs wide, with the zipper of her pants open, revealing her backside, and making a double peace sign.
“Pretty, right?”
“Dude, is it okay to show me this?”
“Yeah, my sister is very easygoing, so she doesn’t care.”
There was no way to tell who was the S and who was the M.
“We have similar tastes, and we get along well. And she was impressed by my skillful business talent, or so she said?”
He was a master at ruining the mood.
Anyway, it was a celebration.
I hugged him tightly again and patted him on the back.
“Oh, and she said she wanted to try an NTR play, and if it’s okay, she said to bring you along too.”
“I’ll pass on that. You’re a real omnivore.”
“Of course. I can do anything except eat poop.”
“R-really…”
“Come to think of it, I think I could eat poop too!”
Takasho smiled brightly until the end.
In the end, I forgot my original purpose and just listened to Takasho’s juicy love story.
2.
Tonight was research time with Yesod Mama.
It was called research, but for someone who just had to shake his hips, it was more like a time for a raunchy SM play.
After taking a clean bath, I headed to her room with a bouquet of flowers, where Count Yesod would be waiting.
“Oh my, Siwoo, welcome.”
“Hello, Count.”
Count Lucy greeted me with her usual eye smile.
But today, her outfit was different from usual.
She always finished her bath around the time Siwoo came and waited in sexy underwear or a gown.
Today, she was wearing something a bit more defensive.
“It’s getting warmer, isn’t it? The nights are still cool, but the sun is so warm during the day.”
And instead of immediately clinging to my neck and kissing me, Count Yesod sat on the sofa first, offered me a seat, and started with small talk.
“Is something the matter?”
“Oh my, what are you talking about? We always have cultured conversations before we engage in relations that suit your tastes.”
I looked at her with suspicion, and I could see sweat trickling down her forehead.
Something was fishy…
Siwoo immediately sensed her awkwardness, but he sat down quietly for now.
“Ahem, Siwoo.”
“Yes, Count.”
“Do you remember the sample story I told you about before?”
“Ah, yes. Sharon has agreed to cooperate with that.”
She had said that there shouldn’t be any errors in the Brand inheritance, so she wanted to collect samples from relationships with other women.
I remembered it well, so I asked Sharon for her cooperation.
At first, she seemed a bit troubled, but we agreed to make an appointment soon.
“Oh my… what should I do?”
“Yes?”
“Actually, the research has hit a major roadblock.”
“Yes?”
“I already have an apprentice witch, which means I’m a witch who has separated her vessel. It’s impossible to collect samples with a normal witch.”
What she said made sense.
In the first place, Siwoo and Lucy’s joint research was for the inheritance of the Brand.
The information that could be obtained from a normal witch was insufficient.
“Does it have to be a witch with an apprentice witch?”
“Yes. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely.”
“Can I look at the research materials?”
“W-well… I left them behind…”
This was troublesome.
It was already difficult to get Sharon’s consent, but now I had to get the help of a witch with an apprentice witch…
Siwoo was lost in thought.
It wasn’t that there was no one who came to mind…
“But don’t worry too much, Siwoo.”
“Yes?”
“I’ve prepared everything.”
“Yes?”
Count Yesod got up from her seat and opened the door to the bedroom.
“Would you follow me?”
