Chapter 11 – Episode 11 – Sorry!
After checking out the window all night, it was morning before I knew it. I wanted to get some sleep, but I couldn’t sleep because I didn’t know when I might see Ars or Lisbeth. As I stayed up all night thinking about it, the feeling of fear gradually disappeared, and my anger toward Lisbeth grew little by little.
“No… If you think about it, isn’t it wrong that Ji fed me mushrooms? Wasn’t that what I was so excited about? And if you don’t like it, just say no! Ji didn’t even say no and just hit me up!”
The fact that I had half-threatened circulated in my head, but my mind, wanting to avoid responsibility, quietly shoved it into a corner. Yesterday’s incident, in my head, had changed to Lisbeth’s death by herself after Lisbeth asked her to be her goddaughter, and she did it without refusal.
“So what did I do!? What the fuck did you just do! I’ll walk around confidently, damn it!”
Ignoring the cries of conscience that cried out that I had sinned, I got up and headed out of the warehouse. While wondering where to go, I decided to head to the guild office. It was because I wondered what Lisbeth might have said.
While ignoring her conscience, I deliberately raised her head exaggeratedly and went to the guild office. Suddenly, her conscience jumped out and said that she was crazy and punched me. Suddenly she crumpled, she didn’t go in right away, but hunched under the window to listen to what was being said.
I could hear the chatter of the adventurers, but there wasn’t much to say, just small talk. Among them, there was a story about me, but it’s a bit like now, but judging from the fact that they talked about inviting me to join if I became a human, it seemed that Lisbeth didn’t say much at the guild management office.
“Whew… I’m glad…”
After verifying that I couldn’t hear Ars and Lisbeth’s voices, I entered the guild management office.
“Oh, Mr. Sema! Hello!”
“Hello Sara! Good morning!”
When it was confirmed that Sarah greeted me with a smile, the worries in my heart completely disappeared and I was able to greet them brightly. Thanks Lisbeth. I won’t forget Grace! …I’ll try to avoid it.
“You are welcome! Als-san said thank you and was waiting for you!”
Thud. Seemed to hear Oh, I couldn’t hear Ars’ voice? No matter how large the guild management office is, you can’t hear anything in the ears of animals with good hearing?
“It seems that you went out for a while after eating… Oh, there you are!”
Seeing where Sarah is pointing, Ars smiles and waves her hand. And behind it… Lisbeth with a sullen expression was glaring at me.
‘Fucked…’
Not knowing whether Als’ smile was a pleasure or she was going to kill you, she walked stiffly towards Als.
“Hello Sema. Did you eat breakfast?”
“Oh, morning? Ah~ I ate, I ate. It’s okay it’s okay”
“Yes. Then, Lisbeth is over there, so I need to talk to you for a moment…”
“Hey, talk!? Uh uh uh it’s good to talk”
What’s good and good, I don’t even know what I’m talking about. I followed Als to Lisbeth and approached Lisbeth, feeling a prick in my stomach.
“Oh, hello Lisbeth?”
“…Hi”
When I greeted me trembling with fear, Lisbeth greeted me with her sullen expression. What is this, amnesia!? Or are you going to kill me!?
“First of all… Thank you so much Sema.”
“Yes?”
Als, who sat down, began to say thank you. Thank you
She said, “I heard she credited Lisbeth with all the credit for catching the griffon. She’s been told by Lisbeth that she caught it with you, but she was inflated before she knew it, so she was supposed to catch it alone.”
“Ah, ah~ that~”
Somehow, Lisbeth seemed to be right about her amnesia. If she had remembered, she would have put aside this gratitude and would have tried to kill me along with Als.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t keep up with you, but instead you even received help. For us who need to build achievements, I’m so grateful for that kind of concession. In addition, you said you took the fainting Lisbeth to her guild management office? The contract fee is only 1 copper for etiquette, but I think we got too much.”
“Haha, it’s nothing! Do not worry about it! It was a good experience for me too!”
Lisbeth’s eyes seemed to sharpen for a moment, but it must have been an illusion. Yeah, if it wasn’t for amnesia, she couldn’t be so calm when she’s been through that.
“So… Do you have any plans to officially join our guild?”
“Umm~ Guild…”
When she receives a formal guild member offer, she forgets her worries for a moment and the calculator starts running in her head. Official guild member. In terms of the district, it is a job offer. Still, it was the first human being I met after coming to this world, and the two closest friends suggested it. I didn’t think it would matter if I accepted it, but it was a cry in my heart that I wanted to be a little more free than being tied to a guild.
“Hmm… I just want to think about joining a guild a bit more… But I want to try this and that freely.”
“Yeah, it can be. Sema is a new beast who has only been in the city where people live for about a month. Then…”
Afterwards, Als’ proposal was to continue the quest with them as a temporary contract if nothing happened. Then he said that it was okay to join Madel’s Light, or even if he went to another guild, it would be regrettable, but he would not catch it. They added that they really want to be with me, who has received grace.
“If it’s anything like that, I’d rather appreciate it!”
“Haha thanks Sema. Then, I think I have to go to the southern gate for now. The party that went to the dungeon not too long ago has an item that was only moved there yesterday, so I think I’ll have to check it out and come back. I’ll probably be back around dinner time. How about meeting again then, choosing a quest, and doing it tomorrow?”
“Well. I do not care. There are still a lot of places I haven’t been to, even villages, but what did you call the warriors for?”
“It’s still a bit hard to tell other people. I’ll let you know when it’s confirmed. Maybe then you will be able to receive quests directly from the guild. I can’t go into details yet, but…”
Looks like something big is going on The hero is constantly being called, and the reason is to the point of being kept a secret.
“Then, since I said hello, I’m going to go to the southern gate as it is… What will Lisbeth do? You can go with me today.”
As Als gets up, she looks at Lisbeth and asks. Isn’t it natural that we just go together? You guys are dating, what are you asking?
She naturally thought that Lisbeth would follow Ars, but Lisbeth gave an unexpected answer.
“…I’ll look around town with Sema. Because there are some stores to stop by.”
“Yes. Then guide Sema well. I don’t think I’ll be eating there until dinner, but if it’s too late, I’ll eat first.”
“Yeah, see you later”
Lisbeth didn’t even look at Ars, but continued to look at me as she answered. Ars laughed and said see you later and left the guild management office. No, are you going alone leaving your girlfriend like this? She said she could go with me? Shall we go together then?
“…”
“…”
Why is Lisbeth’s gaze so stinging? Why is she looking at me with such a sullen expression? The stinging gaze made Lisbeth unsure whether her amnesia was correct or not. Tell me something…
That’s how she turned away from Lisbeth’s gaze and kept her eyes as close as possible…
“…Follow”
“Yes? Oh, I see.”
************************************************** ************************************************** *******
She didn’t say a word and looked at Lisbeth’s back as she walked away, and she followed with an uneasy throb. She was still staring at me from those around her, but this time she couldn’t bear to feel the gaze. It was because I couldn’t tell if the energy I felt from Lisbeth’s back was anger or some other emotion.
Aside from that, Lisbeth’s outfit today wasn’t the one she usually saw. Her top was a red cardigan worn over a white shirt that seemed to fit her breasts, a fluttering plaid pleated skirt similar to the skirt she had been wearing, and white stockings with a slightly different pattern from yesterday’s stockings. Black shoes with a slight heel. Like her previous outfit, it was overall plain, but it matched Lisbeth’s reddish-pink hair. It just feels like she has taken out some of her old clothes.
The problem was that without the cape, Lisbeth’s body was exposed, and even the back of her simple outfit was too irritating to me. At least yesterday’s goddaughter incident happened, so I’m going to put up with it.
“…”
After following the silent Lisbeth for a long time, it seemed that they were going to a place where there were fewer people. I heard there is a shop to stop by, is it a shop in a little corner? By the time the voices of the people around me fade away and I can’t hear them anymore…
“…?”
The place where Lisbeth’s feet stopped was a blind alley blocked by a wall. What? Doesn’t it look like there’s a store? The moment she thought that, Lisbeth turned around and opened her mouth.
“Do you have anything to say to me?”
What? What is this sharp gaze? Do you have anything to say? Stand, please…
“Pu-pureuk!? Ha, what to say!?”
Without realizing it, I asked back, making a sound like a horse. Come on, maybe not? Do you have memory loss? Do it!
“…”
Lisbeth looked at me for a moment, then she jerked back around and into the back alley, where she sat across a tattered wooden box inside. Then, crossing her legs and crossing her arms, she glared at me even more sharply.
“…The thing you made me… Your goddaughter.”
“I’m sorry!!!!!”
I just slammed the horse’s head into the ground.
Really? The MC is A Coward
