Chapter 254 – Episode 29. Call of Taira Danzo
Since I returned to Japan from the United States a few days earlier than originally planned, my vacation wasn’t completely over yet and I still had a few days to spare before going to work.
I decided to invest that free time into preparing for the future. In the future, the world will become increasingly filled with confusion.
After the disaster at Dignity Health Sports Park caused by famine, there was still a lot of talk about supernatural powers. It was such a big event that it caused an uproar not only in the United States but also around the world.
If it were natural, it would be natural. Most people were terrified because the superpower that appeared this time was not the kind of minor superpower that people usually think of, such as levitating objects or bending spoons, but a monster that could kill as many as 26,000 people. It was said that some people even fell into panic, thinking that famine could come at any time and kill them and their families.
Some who did not believe this incident said it was just a fabrication or a conspiracy theory, while others began to follow people with psychic abilities. The target was Aitana, who was the first to step forward and prevent the famine, and I, the so-called Black Knight. A few suffered from famine, but they were very few.
In fact, since there were only three superpowers revealed so far, it was natural that all attention would be focused on the three.
However, Famine was a criminal and his whereabouts were unknown, and I also hid my identity with armor, so there was nothing, and only Aitana’s identity was known, and as a propaganda project of the U.S. Government, I was appointed as the leader of the psychic unit and became the face madam, so I am currently the most famous and popular person. I became a superpower.
Regardless of Aitana’s popularity, so many people were shocked that people were demanding that the information of those with psychic abilities be registered and that a bill be created to punish those with psychic abilities and punish them severely if they commit a crime.
“Is this how it started?”
In Megacorp’s youngest son, it was briefly mentioned that there was a terrorist incident involving a psychic in the United States and that the National Assembly was trying to pass a bill on psychics.
After hearing that information, the player can decide on the main character’s position. Since most players have acquired at least one characteristic that can be called a superpower by this time, most players decide on a line to block the passage of the bill.
As this information spread, psychics who were lurking in the shadows issued statements that were somewhat correct, saying that if they assassinated a member of the National Assembly proposing a bill or oppressed a person with psychic abilities, they would have to go into exile in another country, so it was not a good thing for Korea. Not only in Korea but also around the world. A similar incident occurred and the world began to fall into chaos.
Players who have already decided on a position also have a variety of options. They can either take the passive approach of secretly supporting a terrorist group or take the active approach of assassinating politicians who oppress people with superpowers or committing terrorism.
As a result, the bill on superpowers was overthrown, and after that, both countries and corporations began to compete for superpowers. Because there were so many abilities in the world, even excluding the military side, there were quite a few ways to make huge profits if done well, which is why the scout war broke out.
For reference, even if the player did not choose a trait that could be called a superpower and ended up supporting a bill that was unfavorable to superpowers, the future would be the same.
Even if the player does not commit terrorism or assassination, other super-powered people will do it anyway, but instead, they will be labeled as a super-power discriminator and will not be able to recruit super-powered people when playing. In short, it was an option that had no benefit and only increased the level of difficulty.
I looked into what was going on in Japan and found that laws that were unfavorable to people with superpowers were being made.
“I guess I should also support people with superpowers a little bit.”
There are a few Japanese supernatural terrorist groups that come to mind, and they will take care of it if you give them even a little bit of support. Even if I don’t get my hands dirty.
There were many people to talk to about this incident. I had to consult with Han Yu-kyung in Korea, and I also had to talk with the people at Seryu Military Company, which can be said to be my greatest strength along with East Weapon.
Since I couldn’t go to Korea right away and Han Yu-kyung was planning to come to Tokyo soon for work due to collaborating with Amsang, I decided to go to the training center where the Seryu Military Company people were training the children I had rescued and meet them.
The training center was located in Okutama-machi (奥多摩町), the westernmost town in Tokyo.
Although Okutama-machi was included in Tokyo, it had the largest administrative district and the second largest population, making it a rural area. There is Mt. Kumotori, the highest mountain in Tokyo, and there are many mountainous areas nearby, so it was a training ground for PMCs near Tokyo.
Seryu Military Company had a small staff and did not have its own training facility, so it was currently using East Weapon’s training facility on loan.
As I climbed halfway up the mountain on a rough road that was only suitable for driving, following the navigation, I saw a building that looked like a training center.
Regardless of its design, there was a large, crude, two-story rectangular concrete building, several container buildings, and a guard post that appeared to be an ammunition depot in front.
As I parked my car in the parking lot on one side and got out, the children who were training were coming down from the mountain and entering the entrance of the training center building. They must have been rolling around quite a bit, so their digital training uniforms were covered in dirt and their faces were also full of dust. He was carrying heavy-looking military uniforms on his back.
The leader was Sawayanagi Tobe. Tove looked at me and looked a little surprised.
“Ryu Takong… ! I didn’t hear you were coming…”
“I contacted Azuma yesterday, but it seems you didn’t hear me.”
“Oh, I guess I didn’t hear it because I had training in a camp for 3 days and 2 nights.”
It was an unusual way of speaking every time I heard it. Sawayanagi Tobe was a gentle man in everyday life, as was his way of speaking, but when he was in battle, he was a man full of courage with a fierce face.
By the way, since it was a 3-day, 2-night camp training, everyone must have had a hard time in this weather, right? There will be a lot of mosquitoes.
“What’s your training schedule for today?”
“Everyone worked hard for three days and two nights, so we plan to rest today after maintenance.”
It’s not just a rest, it’s a rest after ‘maintenance’. Maintenance is a bit of a hassle, but I’m not the one suffering…
“Then, shall we have a dinner party for all of Seryutai in the evening? “I’ll shoot.”
“If the boss allows it…”
Sawayanagi Tobe nodded his head at my suggestion for a dinner party, and the trainees must have listened too! He was happy. At that time, someone misled the trainees and came running to stand in front of me. It was Alexandra Smirnova. I think it’s a little big between the eyes? Her skinny body had gained some weight and her breasts seemed to be more swollen than when I last saw her.
Is it because I couldn’t grow because of lack of nutrition that I’m growing now? Or is it because of the characteristics? That’s interesting.
“Ryuu…”
“How was your training, Alexandra?”
“Alrik, please call me Alrik.”
Aleksandra Smirnova, Alek, asked me for a nickname with sparkling eyes, as if being called Alik was a great reward. Yes, he also calls me Ryuta, but it’s more like calling me Alrik…
“Yes, Alric. “How was the training?”
“Alrik, training was easy. “Originally, I just lay down and slept in the meadow or alley.”
It seemed to refer to the time when he was wandering around before being captured by slave traders. From Alrik’s perspective, it would have been much better to have a tent than before.
“And I was praised for being good at catching bugs with Alek’s Pajik Pajik.”
Using Alexandra, the infamous mid-boss, as an electric fly swatter… I was a little dumbfounded, but patted his head and said he did well.
“Is there a conference room here?”
“Hmm… “
It was Tobe Sawayanagi who nodded to my question. When I thought about it, all of the Crascano children I brought in were psychics, so they also had the right to share their stories.
“This is a story about psychics, so please take a shower and gather in the conference room. Even new kids.”
“I understand, Ryuutakong. Then…”
Tobe Sawayanagi led the trainees into the dormitory building. Alic was holding onto the waist of my pants and squirming as if he didn’t want to go, but when he heard Tobe Sawayanagi’s scolding, he misled him and ran back to join the group of trainees.
As I had heard from Azuma Sawayanagi in advance, I entered the building and went to the training staff room on the second floor. In the training officer’s office, Azuma Sawayanagi and Seryutai’s operator, Lyanna Holden, were working on something on the computer.
“Investor~!”
“Oh, Handsome Guy, hello!”
They both welcomed me very much. I said hello and looked around, but there was no one in the training staff room.
“What about other people?”
“I went on a mission. “We take turns teaching each person their field, so the rest of us have to make money!”
Oh, I see. It was a different system from Byung’s previous military training camp. Since there are only five new recruits and trainees, there is no need for all Seryutai members to be tied up at the training center.
Still, I’m a little embarrassed. I was going to have a meeting with everyone at Seryu Military Company about what to do next. Excluding the trainees, there are only three people left… Still, I can’t help it. Now that I’m here, I’ll have to talk about it.
“Do you know what happened in America this time?”
“Yes. 26,000 people died… “I’m worried about the future.”
“Famine? “I hate him!”
Azuma Sawayanagi and Lyanna Holden both had bad expressions. Since they are both psychics, they seemed very worried about what kind of oppression they would face for this incident.

Originally, Alexandra would be in her third year of high school.
