Chapter 57 – Episode 8-7
The three people gathered at the coffee shop, Yunji, Youngho, and Mungyu, were putting their heads together and planning a strategy.
Youngho put pressure on Yunji, saying he was not happy that things were not going well.
“Why doesn’t she come over? “Wasn’t that plan too sloppy?”
“I don’t know if I still have lingering feelings for Junwoo. Try a little more. “If a wonderful man like Youngjun soothes your lonely heart, you will feel a little shaken.”
Although she wasn’t sure, Yunji was trying to take some time to survive.
Mungyu, who was grinning to himself after hearing the name Youngjun, picked Youngho.
“Isn’t it because his face is so dirty?”
“This is Mr. I’m handsome now, you bastard. Anywhere on the gorilla topic. And do you want to keep speaking informally?”
“Oh, it was just a joke. Fix it, bro. Giggling-“
“I’m not in the mood to joke around right now. Be careful.”
“Yes!”
After glaring at Mungyu, Youngho fiddled with his glasses and got lost in thought.
I intentionally exposed Sohee to the scene of Yunji and Youngho dating, but there was no response. Yun-ji told So-hee that ‘Young-jun was interested in you,’ but she was still annoyed. Pretending to have met by chance, Young-ho approached So-hee and tried to appeal to her about what a good person he was, but So-hee did not call the number on her business card.
Every time he visited the detention center, Si-hwan pestered Young-ho, asking why he still couldn’t bring Kang So-hee to his knees. Youngho’s stress was increasing day by day.
‘Ha~ That delicious lady, I loved it when she took Hyuncheol as her hostage… But did she become too intimidated after seeing them fighting in the warehouse? It’s difficult if you’re scared like this. We need to be bold again!’
Youngho clenched his fists, determined to have Sohee somehow.
At that time, Mungyu pointed out the window.
“Hey, Jjin… No, brother. Isn’t that Jang Jun-woo over there?”
“Where?”
Youngho turned his head. Junwoo was standing on the street across from the coffee shop, looking at them with wide eyes.
When all three people’s eyes were focused on each other, Junwoo quickly walked away. He didn’t want to get involved with Yunji again, and he didn’t want to meet Geoni and Mungyu.
Mungyu laughed as he watched Junwoo disappear as if running away.
“Tsk tsk tsk – why is that bastard like that? “Is someone going to eat it?”
“Anyway, you’re still an asshole. Is there any need to tease me anymore when I live such a pitiful life? Cancer. Not at all. Wait a moment. “I’ll make you think it’s Cheonchu’s fault that Hyeoncheol didn’t join the military.”
As Youngho smiled cruelly as he looked at the place where Junwoo had disappeared, Mungyu’s eyes flashed like a wild animal.
“Brother, I tried to be so gentlemanly with Kang So-hee until now, but in the end, she didn’t give in to me. Now just push on.”
“What are you talking about? “Are you going to beat up the lady and catch her?”
“I’m not that ignorant. Well, let me summarize briefly. “Brother, you’re smart… No, you’re smart, so you’ll understand right away.”
Mungyu spread spittle on his thick lips and continued speaking.
“At first, I tried to take advantage of Junwoo, but I failed. It turns out that she was a really strong woman, right?”
“So, I heard you were beaten until you fainted?”
“Hey, I just pretended to faint for a moment~ Anyway, after that, I gave him medicine in Sokcho and shook him with a hidden camera video, but it didn’t work. He had a quite determined personality.”
“You don’t care even though your boyfriend is making out with her daughter. “She’s a total psychopath.”
“He’s such a pretty psychopath. But do you remember what happened next? My older brother threatened me with Hyeoncheol and succeeded for a short time. However, the eldest brother was greedy and ended up receiving a serious backlash that put the organization in danger of extinction.”
“Big brother, you’re so greedy. It would have been better if he had just let me keep eating, but then he insisted on eating the map. Chi.”
“So we thought this couldn’t be done, so we changed direction. The plan is to knock Jun-woo off and then steal his heart from a wonderful man like his older brother. But it’s not going well, is it?”
“Why do you think that is?”
Mungyu stared at Youngho’s face. I tried to pretend to take out a mirror, but I thought I would get yelled at again, so I gave up.
“Let’s analyze the reasons later and think about what to do now. Well, if you just look at it up to this point, the answer will come out quickly.”
“What is the answer?”
“Don’t you know?”
“I don’t know, dude~ You do the talking!”
When Youngho punched the back of his head, Moongyu started to cry for a moment, but Mungyu held it in and smiled heartily.
“The only method that worked for that bitch was blackmail. “You said Hyuncheol told the police that he killed Ji’s father, so you responded right away?”
“It did. So, do it again?”
“No. “Hyeoncheol-in, this is a card I’ve already used once.”
“So, daughter? “She’s so lost in Junwoo’s dad right now that she can’t come to her senses.”
“How can that be a threat? And didn’t you see him fighting?”
“I saw it.”
“That’s right.”
“Oh well then just tell me the conclusion!”
As Youngho whined and got irritated, Mungyu patted his back.
“In my view, the most certain card is Jang Jun-woo.”
“Junwoo? The two of you are done, what kind of threat? Should I put it back on?”
“No, it’s not completely finished. Rather, now is the time when medicine is most effective. Something went wrong, and it was about to end, but this left me with some regrets. Even though I hoped things would go well again, it didn’t work out as I thought. It’s a time like that that makes me feel sad. I think I’m certain after seeing Junwoo just now. Oh, by the way, you’ve never been in a relationship, right?”
“Do it. I tried it! “I tried a lot!”
“How many times?”
“I don’t know! “Hmph!”
Youngho’s face turned red, and he answered urgently, mixed with snarky remarks.
Mungyu leaned his elbow on Youngho’s shoulder.
“Brother, just do what I tell you. Then, I will prepare a plate for you so you can enjoy it.”
He then cast a murderous look at Yunji.
“Teacher, just shut up and be quiet. Then I will treat you well. Okay, pretty girl?”
“Yes…”
“Ugh…”
Yunji and Youngho looked at Mungyu and nodded.
As expected, there was an uproar at Junwoo’s house. Mi-jeong jumped up and down, asking why she would go to the countryside and leave the schools close to home.
Jun-woo tried to persuade Mi-jeong with excuses such as scholarships and transfers, but he was unable to convince Mi-jeong. In that case, he had no choice but to persuade Seongtae.
“Dad… This is the path I chose. Will you support it?”
Junwoo’s bright eyes were actually a threat. What he meant was, “If you don’t give me permission, I’ll explode the bomb in your mouth.”
“Honestly, I don’t know why you bother going to a school so far away. I said it before, but there are still many people in the world who wear colored glasses, so sometimes educational background is important. The same goes for the study atmosphere and networking issues…”
Even as he expressed his true feelings, Seongtae rolled another calculation to one side of his head. He pondered and eventually decided to negotiate with his son. She didn’t want to lose Seong-ah, and she didn’t want to divorce Mi-jeong.
“Nevertheless, I think there are many reasons for your choice. Now that you are an adult, you must learn to make your own choices and take responsibility for them. Yes, if that is what you mean, Dad will support it. “I will support you financially until you graduate from college, so until then, build a good foundation for yourself…”
“Honey, are you crazy? “Isn’t it a waste to work hard for an extra year to get that grade?”
Undetermined painter moved from Jun-woo to Seong-tae, but Seong-tae held firm. He didn’t want to upset Junwoo.
“When my father said that, my son felt relieved. I won’t act like I’m living alone, so please always support me with the same heart as you do now. “I love you, my father.”
Junwoo bowed deeply to Seongtae, who accepted the deal. Although he still didn’t want his dad and Seong-ah to meet, he decided to put up with it if it meant he could leave this neighborhood. If we leave it like that, Seong-ah will no longer bother Jun-woo, and Seong-tae will soon regret his mistakes and come back to Mi-jeong.
In the family, Seongtae, who had economic power, had a greater influence. Mi-jeong was opposed to the end, but with Seong-tae’s support, Jun-woo eventually submitted applications to schools in areas he had never been to.
It didn’t matter where Junwoo was. What a year this is, he thought. The era of competition based on academic background is over. He felt that he was just grateful that he had been given the opportunity to go to college as a bonus in a life that would have ended after graduating from high school.
Surprisingly, some schools had such high cutoff points that I could easily have been rejected, and some schools even called me directly saying they would give me a full 4-year scholarship as long as I came.
The 4-year scholarship was quite appealing. Junwoo, who had lived a miserable life throughout high school, thought that he would like to try being the leader of a small group at least once. It was still a young Junwoo’s immature judgment, but thanks to the sweet words of the admissions director, Junwoo accepted the offer of a school he had never heard of before.
Although Mi-jeong tried to meet Jun-woo several more times, her choice did not change. For a while, Mi-jeong lay in pain, and Seong-tae told her to respect her son’s choice, saying that academic background does not guarantee the future.
She began to suspect that maybe she had broken up with Sohee, but Sohee ended up hiding the fact of her breakup from Mijeong. Mi-jeong, who soon regained her energy through her TV comedy program, helped her son prepare for college with Seong-tae.
A campus located in a village with few places to drink nearby. Junwoo’s family toured real estate together and found a place to stay nearby. This was because Junwoo wanted to have a comfortable space to live in because dormitory life would be stuffy.
I put on a suit and opened a new account for Seongtae to manage. I also packed my luggage to take to my room in advance. As everything went smoothly, Junwoo felt like he was already a college student.
One night, shortly before his move-in date, Junwoo went out to a nearby convenience store to buy snacks because there was nothing he wanted to eat in the refrigerator.
As he was choosing food, he suddenly thought about saying goodbye to Sohee, but she decided to stop. Just thinking about Sohee made his heart ache, but he felt like saying even a few words would shake her heart again.
Water already spilled. I can’t put it back. The wounds they inflicted on each other will one day grow again and torment the two of them. I love you so much, but I can’t anymore. That was Junwoo’s conclusion.
As I was leaving the convenience store with a bag full of snacks, someone sitting at an outdoor table pretended to know.
“Uh. Junwoo, it’s been a while.”
It was Mungyu.
“So you’re Moongyu? Why, you worked in Sokcho. “Did you quit?”
“Uh. Because I got a good job.”
“It seems so. It’s cool.”
He somehow looked cool wearing a neat suit.
“What do you do?”
“Is there anything wrong? Just do what you are told from above. It’s been a while. Would you like to have a drink?”
“Here? “Isn’t it still a bit cold to eat outside?”
“No~ I should go somewhere nice and eat. “I’ll shoot.”
I wanted to refuse, but I couldn’t say no. To Jun-woo, Mun-gyu was still a scary person. Still, I nodded, trying to calm my anxiety, thinking that nothing bad would happen since I had changed my mind while living in Sokcho.
“Then let’s drink for a moment.”
“Yes~ As expected, our Junwoo is really cool. Man, man. Huh? Giggling-“
The guy’s ominous laugh strangled Junwoo. Jun-woo follows Moon-gyu, who walks ahead. He recalled the time when he was taken to a mountain behind during high school.
