Chapter 430 – Preparation
The place where Zaid took us was where cars were parked in a row.
It appeared to be the parking lot of Zeppia Station.
I thought I would get on the train after seeing him at the station, but it turns out that wasn’t the case.
Isn’t my car somewhere here too?
A large van, perhaps a little bigger than a van, gently comes and stops in front of us.
And the door opened.
“Ride.”
Zaid said that and got into the car. Lynette and I followed him into the car.
As we get in, the car door closes softly, and the window turns black, so we can’t see out.
It seemed like he probably didn’t want to tell us where he was going.
The car started moving.
Even if it did move, it only felt like it was moving briefly at first.
It was so quiet that you didn’t feel like you were inside a car.
It’s quiet, and you can’t even see the window, so it feels like you’re just sitting in a closed room.
“Where are we going?”
“You will know when you go.”
Zaid answered my question like that, crossed his arms, closed his eyes, and made a pose. It’s an unspoken gesture that says you don’t want to talk anymore.
I don’t know if he’s a guy who doesn’t like talking to people… Or if he should just be sparing with his words… But anyway, I didn’t like talking to men either.
I looked at Lynette sitting next to me.
When she sensed my gaze, she quietly shook her head and made an expression of ignorance.
‘Well, I said this is the second mission.’
Thinking about her first meeting with Zaid, it felt like she was also meeting him for the first time… Perhaps this mission wasn’t always with the same person.
In a quiet atmosphere, Lynette rolls her eyes here and there and looks at me and Zaid.
It looks like he’s still nervous.
She thought about taking a nap, but the mission was expected to last about 20 hours.
When I thought about it, I didn’t think it would take that much time to move.
It was difficult to close my eyes.
I stayed on watch for almost a week and didn’t even sleep. But I wasn’t tired.
There was no major problem with not sleeping for about a week.
I haven’t tested how long I can last without sleep, but I’ve already confirmed that I can survive for a month or two while fighting against great demons.
I decided to take a look at my surroundings by expanding my consciousness.
As the consciousness that was trapped in the body slowly expanded its territory outside, information around me began to flow into my head.
First, I felt something like a magical barrier suppressing magical energy.
It seemed like there was probably a device installed in the vehicle that prevented looking outside.
To me, it’s not a big deal.
Rather, the force that suppresses the expansion of consciousness on this planet itself is much stronger. Even so, there was no problem looking around the vehicle.
I guess the training I had done while staying on guard for a few days at Pantera was effective, as I was able to control my consciousness more smoothly and look at my surroundings.
I could feel the magical power possessed by Lynette next to me and Zaid sitting across from me.
Zaid was a leader in his own right and possessed roughly B-level magical power, and Linnet was C-level.
The driver of this vehicle… Was not there.
It was probably an autonomous vehicle.
The car entered the outer tunnel of Zephia, which looked like a highway with many vehicles passing by.
‘I think I’m leaving Zephia…’
There were many vehicles passing through the tunnel. And the walls of the tunnel were creating a peaceful outdoor scene similar to that of the train.
A vehicle that had been moving for a while after leaving Zephia left the path it was traveling on and entered another passage. And soon we left the tunnel.
Zephia and other small cities appeared.
Looking at the sign, it seemed to be an area called Spartanbur.
The car that picked us up entered a street lined with rectangular buildings on the outskirts of the city. And then I entered one of the buildings.
“We have arrived. Get off.”
As Zaid spoke, the car door opened, revealing a neat interior.
“Don’t go outside the building. You won’t be able to go out.”
It seemed like he didn’t want me to know where this place was.
After giving that warning, Zaid looked at Linnet and said.
“Linette. Teach Bark how to use weapons and equipment.”
“Yes? Yes! I understand.”
Lynette responds to Zaid’s instructions with a dignified look.
Looking at Zaid’s attitude towards me, it doesn’t seem like a group that rules that discipline… I don’t know why Lynette has that attitude.
Zaid disappeared through the door on one side as if he had something to do.
“Um, hey… Perhaps…”
When Zaid disappeared, Lynette noticed and spoke to me.
Perhaps she seemed puzzled when Zaid asked me to teach him how to use weapons and equipment.
“This is my first mission.”
I had no choice but to reveal the truth to Lynette that I was her junior.
“Huh?! Really?”
Lynette asks in surprise.
“Is there a problem?”
“Oh, no! I’m sorry!”
What am I sorry about? .
Lynette has a very low attitude for someone who can be said to be a member of a terrorist organization.
“Well, then follow me. There’s a shooting range below.”
I followed her to her shooting range.

-Dismissal! Pajik!
When the blue bullet hits the target, it explodes and a powerful electric current sprays out.
I roughly expected this after seeing the weapons that Kaura and his group were carrying on the train, but the weapons they used were similar to the guns used on Earth.
If it hits, it’s not penetration, but something like a strong electric current flows.
“… Is this really the first time? I’m having a hard time.”
“This is a piece of cake.”
There may also be future predictions.
I have a few abilities… I could hit the target with a gun even with my eyes closed.
“Wow, that’s amazing.”
“But…”
“Yes? Is there something wrong?”
“… Do people die from this?”
Although it appeared to be a powerful electric current, the output seemed somewhat insufficient to kill the demon.
“Yes? Are people going to live and die?”
For some reason, Lynette is startled by my question.
“Hmm? Was my question wrong?”
“Oh, no… If you kill someone, you’ll be in big trouble!”
“Huh? Big trouble?”
“Rebellion doesn’t kill people. It’s funny that they kill their own people to liberate the Pantheraine. That’s true, but if you kill people, the military will intervene. The cause is lost, and even Rebellion can’t deal with the military. So, the mission Keep in mind that serious murder should never be committed.”
At some point, Zaid approached me and intervened in the conversation between me and Lynette.
As expected, the gun appears to have been a weapon for suppression, not for killing.
Zaid was wearing the Rebellion’s black combat suit that she had seen once.
“What do you think, Lynette? Is it worth putting into action?”
“Yes! Bark is amazing. In fact, he shoots better than me!”
“It’s not something you should be proud of. It’s something to be ashamed of.”
“Yes…”
Lynette, who was excited, quickly became sullen due to Zaid’s mistreatment.
“Linette. We’re leaving soon. Change your clothes and come to the hanger.”
“Yes!”
“Can I follow her lead?”
She changes her clothes like that… It’s a welcome thing.
“… I prepared yours separately.”
“You prepared it separately?”
“Your physique is too svelte. There are probably very few Zephyrians with the same body type as you.”
“… Is that so?”
“That’s right. Even if you wear a suit and cover your face, you have a body that is too easy to pinpoint.”
I understood what you meant.
Since I am a demon whose average height is slightly over 180 cm, I thought there would be similar humans, but even here, my size seemed to be rare.
“I don’t know why I puffed up my body so needlessly. I want you to think about plastic surgery.”
I couldn’t do it… I didn’t even want to listen to him.
“So? Am I waiting?”
Even waiting is not bad.
Although I joined Rebellion to collect information at the urging of Sunni and Chaos… Why am I working so hard to enjoy wealth and fame?
First, this time it’s an experience.
I was planning to try it today and decide what to do next.
“No. I prepared equipment separately for you.”
Zaid took me upstairs.
There was a small shuttle that looked like a transport plane.
-Dad-dad!
I can hear someone running behind me.
She was a woman wearing a dark suit and helmet.
“S-sorry for being late!”
It was Linette.
The tight-fitting combat suit showed off her well-toned body, with everything coming out and going in.
I also thought that women looked good in combat suits.
“Then, let’s board.”
The cargo compartment door at the back of the airship opens.
We stepped on the steps of the open cargo compartment and entered the airship.
When I took a quick look, I noticed that there was a pilot inside the airship, unlike the van that brought us here.
The pilot didn’t seem to have any intention of confronting us.
Inside the plane, I saw something that caught my eye.
It was a robot standing on one side of the wall.
The robot, which was made of metal and was about 3 meters tall, had the front armor on its torso and limbs completely open.
“Is that… A magic device?”
“Magic gear? It’s not that big of a deal. That’s the equipment you’ll be wearing. It’s called a pit bull.”
The idea was that if I couldn’t hide my large body with just a suit, they would put me in a large piece of equipment.
