Chapter 8 – Episode 8. The Majesty of a Handsome Man -2
(Ha Eun-seo’s point of view)
***
I leave the house and head to the bookstore.
– Again, again…
Wear shoes and walk slowly.
It’s a shoe that isn’t even a curved high heel, so it’s more comfortable than it looks.
I bought it a while ago and haven’t worn it much, but it’s a design that exposes the toes with white shoes.
It’s been a while since I’ve decorated like this, so I’m a little excited.
It seems like a change of mood.
The destination is a large bookstore located near Sindorim Station.
This bookstore is not far from the semi-basement house where I live, so it is a place I visit once in a while.
If you walk while thinking about something else, you will arrive soon.
There is a fairly wide road on the side of the sidewalk that leads to the large bookstore, where the sound of cars constantly passes.
Ah.
I want to buy a car too
I want to buy morning.
Because the car is pretty
Hmm.
This area is a transportation hub.
At first glance, many people think that a lot of people will be crowded.
However, the inside of the subway station and its surroundings are very busy, but surprisingly, the human population is similar to other areas or a little rare.
– Again, again…
On my way to the bookstore, I also watch other people walking somewhere.
Mostly, what I pay close attention to is a pretty woman or a handsome man.
A pretty girl mainly looks at how she coordinates and where she has plastic surgery.
A good-looking man just feels good when he sees his face, so I walk past him and pretend not to look and take a quick look at his toes to the top of his head.
‘Ah…’
I have some complaints here.
There are so many pretty girls.
Girls who are as pretty as, or even more beautiful than, celebrities in dramas stand out from time to time.
However, good-looking men are really hard to find.
Similarly, it is almost impossible to find a man like a celebrity in a drama.
I am saddened by this reality.
If only there were a lot of handsome men.
Then it would be nice to have a real boyfriend often.
Since there are so few good-looking men, it seems that only men who think it would be better to go solo rather than date a guy sometimes end up getting entangled and spending time without a boyfriend often gets longer.
It’s okay to be ordinary and warm, but there are few men like that.
I walked the street, looking at people like that, and looking at the shops that looked to the side or on the other side of the street as I passed by.
I had to think about that too.
It is about what to take out for a late dinner menu after leaving the bookstore so that you can enjoy it more deliciously when you return home.
I walked around looking at this and that, stunned for a bit.
And as I walked, I almost arrived near the subway station where my destination, a large bookstore, was located.
Certainly, since I came near this side, there were some large-scale shopping malls, and people felt more crowded than the way I came.
It was around the time I came to the bookstore and saw the building.
As I was walking through the bookstore, a person came out shyly from the left.
“Oh, what a surprise!”
He was the first man I’d ever seen.
That man came to talk to me.
“Haha, I came to hang out with my friends earlier, and it was so good that I came. If it’s okay, could you have a cup of coffee with me?”
You were surprised
Even though it was dark, it suddenly came out like this, so I couldn’t help but be surprised.
It was hunting.
For me, this is how I respond to hunting.
The basis for subjective judgment will vary depending on the person, but I tend to give a number if I look good and ignore it if I don’t. If in doubt, try a test.
I instantly scanned the man.
They look the same age as me.
About one plus minus two. Twenty four at least. Twenty-seven or eight at most?
He is about 170 in height.
So so…
The face is a bit ambiguous.
It’s a bit ugly to say, but it’s not to the extent that I’m attracted to it.
If he was an ugly man, he would have treated him as invisible and ignored him.
However, since it was average, I gave the man at least an answer and gave him a little space.
“You came out to play with a friend, but would you like to have coffee with me? Spend it with your friend. And since I’m alone… Let’s do something together…”
“Yes? Um… Ah…”
He doesn’t receive what I’m saying properly, and something stutters.
It seems that training is still lacking.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a handsome guy, but if a guy who isn’t handsome is so bad at talking and lacks even the slightest sense of humor or something like that, I can’t tolerate it.
I wondered what it would have been like if the man had grabbed me by the tail and said this.
‘Are you going to take care of your friend? Ah~, then, if that person becomes my friend, I can take care of it right away. Let’s go. I’ll specially take you to the place where you can refill the syrup.’
Just what did you do…
There are infinite ways to counter it, and whatever it was, if the man spoke with a little bit of wit and quick sense, I think I would have laughed a little.
Not in one room, of course.
He wasn’t handsome and he was a little vague, so if we wanted to have coffee together, he might have given me a number if he had hit me three more words in a row that appealed to me more.
I passed him by.
“Take care.”
First of all, good-looking is the best.
Otherwise, you should have some sense of humor.
Even so, you should feel fortunate that you had a chance to talk to me.
If he had been an ugly man, he would have gone in a flash.
After passing Hunting Nam, I walked a little faster and arrived at the bookstore.
The large transparent automatic doors of the bookstore open on both sides with a soft sound.
-Goooh…
The door opened and I entered the bookstore.
The large bookstore was the same as the scenery I had seen once.
The dazzling lights on the studded ceiling brightly illuminate the inside of the store regardless of the time of day.
And books are stored in all directions in piles of square books about the height of the hips.
The far wall is also lined with books.
People stand sparsely or sit on arranged chairs and read books.
It’s not a library, so it’s a bit like sitting down and reading a book, and I’m hungry, so I quickly browse through the books and decide to buy something to buy.
I browsed the inside of the bookstore to see if there was anything interesting.
‘There are many new books…’
There were quite a few things that looked interesting.
Books about travel.
A book about meditation.
Books related to habit improvement.
Books about famous and rich CEOs.
A detective story.
Etc.
I skimmed through them moderately, turning the pages.
Hmm.
I also found a novel that I just wanted to buy.
But it’s a bit like buying everything.
If you buy everything that’s moderately good, you can go home and become a burden anyway.
The book seems to have something like that.
The best time to live
If you don’t see it right away when you bring it home, it’s often just piled up incessantly…
This is especially true of books related to learning.
In the case of a novel, I buy it and read it all within a day, but once the wind of learning blows and I buy an academic book such as English, Chinese, or various study methods, it is often neglected at home for a long time. Many.
This and that… It would be nice to read some books for a long time.
Rather, if I had a normal job, I would be able to read a book for three or four hours after work.
However, there is no concept of work, and since I earn as much as I work all day, I feel a bit burdened about such things, so it is a bit like going to read a book.
So, I carried around a novel that I really liked, and looked for other interesting books and looked at various books.
You can’t spend a lot of time, just enough time to pick out the books you like.
Did a book… I thought it would be perfect if I bought two copies.
I was immersed in the books that were candidates for second purchase.
I was going to read through the five or six candidate books little by little and buy the best one.
“…”
I read little by little, but after reading several books, I still spent a little more time than I thought.
When I choose a book, the main thing I look for is immersion.
I don’t know what the writer’s skills are like, but when I look at it, there is a book that makes me fall in love without knowing why.
The one that can take me to such a different world… I like books like that.
I stood leaning against the edge of a large bookstore, put down a few books of the candidates for a while, picked up one of them, and read through the pages one by one.
Hunger was forgotten for a while.
A peaceful time ensued.
However, as I forgot about time for a while and immersed myself little by little in the books I had to choose, I suddenly felt extreme pain in my toes.
“Oops!”
It felt as if a motorcycle had stepped on my foot and ran away.
It was a moment when a scream could have come out reflexively, but it was so painful that I couldn’t even make a sound.
Who stepped on my feet
I clenched my fists in pain and dropped the book I was reading.
He sat down and held his feet for a while.
“Ahh…”
When I sit down, the person who stepped on my feet also sits down.
He said.
“Are you okay?”
I was furiously angry.
Are you okay?
Would it be okay if I was like you?
With that thought in mind, I collapsed and sat down, wide-eyed, grabbed my feet, raised my bowed head, and fired a word.
“Ah, what! I’m really annoyed! Ah…”
I frowned and shouted at the person sitting in front of me.
Since the place was a bookstore, I didn’t want to draw attention, so I didn’t shout loudly.
Should I say that I screamed while suppressing my voice?
However, the discomfort was expressed in a volume that was sufficiently conveyed.
However, after I screamed, I looked at his face and was dazed for a moment.
“…”
‘Uh…’
He was a handsome man.
His eyes sparkled like the waters of Flathead Lake, said to be the clearest in the world.
On top of that, she had well-groomed eyebrows, a sharp nose, and her skin texture was as fine as a snowflake.
Besides, even sitting down, I could feel at once that he was taller than 180 cm and had a fraudulent 8th head ratio.
He was wearing a black suit.
I have never seen a man with such a perfect suit fit in my life.
He was talking to me at a distance where I could reach if I stretched out my hand.
‘Are you okay? Are you okay? No, it’s not very good… Okay. Ah…’
He spoke to me
“I’m sorry. Ah… How did you do this… I’m really sorry.”
He kept telling me he was sorry.
It hurt quite a bit, but I didn’t want to blame him for my pain.
Because he was so handsome
I gritted my teeth and endured the pain.
“Uuuuu… Ah…
The man had a worried face.
He lowered his head slightly and looked at my feet. Then he raised his head again and looked me in the eyes.
“You seem to be getting too red… Can you walk? I’m really sorry. I’ll give you an apology fee. For a moment…”
No what… Even the apple rain with one step on my foot…
I grabbed his foot with one hand and reached out with the other and grabbed his wrist as he pulled out his wallet.
“No~!
He looked at my feet some more.
Feeling too embarrassed about that, I put my toes together under my shoes as if fidgeting.
It’s not that it doesn’t look like that.
“Are you really okay? I don’t think so…”
“Really. It’s really okay. Go the way you came. Haha… I’m fine.”
“Hmm…”
While talking to him, the intense stinging pain gradually lessened.
I got to the point where I could get up again.
But then, the man picked up the book I was looking at.
“Ah… I can’t do it. I’ll calculate this for now.”
“Yes?”
He said, holding up the book I was looking at, as well as the other books he was selecting as candidates.
“You were going to buy all of these too? You keep saying it’s okay, but I’m so sorry. I’ll buy you all of these and then I’ll go. Hey, I’ll just think I’ve had a drink, so there’s no pressure.”
I yelled at him behind his back.
“Hey, hey? No, no!”
But the handsome man was already walking to the counter with all his books.
I stepped on his foot pretty hard and looked at his back.
“Ouch…”
And then I thought
‘The back looks good too. And…’
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a handsome man.
I followed him to the counter.
It was to prevent the calculation somehow.
It happened that he hadn’t counted yet because of the lines at the counter.
“Wait a minute.”
I took the books and went to the side of him in line.
And I looked at him and talked.
“Books are really good.
“I’m sorry though.”
I shook my head.
And, I told him
“Then, please buy me something other than a book.”
