Chapter 416 – 416. Apocalyptic Twilight
416. Apocalyptic Twilight
“Hmm, what should I go catch?”
I skimmed through the list Yoo Ji-ah sent me. There were monsters well known to the public, but there were also monsters with names I had never heard of.
‘It would be better to go somewhere in the remote area.’
As long as Stella was there, there was no need to be constrained by distance, so it would be better to go to a place where there are no people’s eyes. Among the dungeons in Africa or South America, I checked the dungeons worth visiting.
‘I’d rather be here.’
First of all, I decided to go to the S-class cage type dungeon in northern Mexico, ‘Twilight of the End’. Like an S-class dungeon, it was teeming with S-class named monsters. Even if you put everything in there, you will be able to achieve your goal.
I don’t know if there will be S-rank named monsters left, but since no one dares to crawl all the way to the lawless zone to attack S-rank dungeons, there will probably be S-rank monsters worth catching.
I told Stella her location, and Stella appropriately opened a portal near the dungeon. As we rode through the portal, an exotic landscape greeted us.
We didn’t exactly move to the front of the dungeon, so we wandered a bit to find the dungeon. I flew in the air and searched moderately, and soon I was able to find the gate.
“Looks like there.”
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen a wild gate.”
In the distance, I saw a huge gate emitting a hideous purple light. A gate that looks dangerous no matter who sees it. Unusually, no one was seen around the dungeon gate.
Originally, the dungeons in this lawless zone should be controlled by the cartel that rules the lawless zone. Because magic stones were one of the most important resources that formed the basis of modern society.
Manastone mining was a source of money that was incomparable to any drug or illegal business, and most cartels and warlords monopolized nearby dungeons and enlisted slaves to mine magic stones.
However, Twilight of the End is an S-class dungeon where S-class monsters appear. Because it was not at a level that a cartel could manage, it seemed to be abandoned in a half-neglected state. In the first place, if it was at the level of being able to extract magic stones from S-class dungeons, there was no reason to do a cartel. It must have been taken from the United States, which is right up there.
“Let’s go in.”
We headed towards the entrance of the dungeon. There were old signs and fences put up by the cartel, but they were little more than meaningless obstacles. Stella and I were able to enter the dungeon without any resistance.
[Dungeon: Enter ‘End of Twilight’.]
It’s been a long time since I heard a dungeon entrance phrase. Something feels new.
I looked around first. A huge dust cloud is swirling around the safe zone. The sky is dyed red like blood, and the scorching rays of the sun pierce the dusty atmosphere and heat the earth.
It is an extreme environment where you can run away with tears and runny nose as soon as you enter. Seeing this shape starting from the safety zone, I felt like I had a little sense of how damn good the inside would be.
‘Shall we just go somewhere else?’
I thought about it for a moment, but decided to just calmly attack it. If it sucked, I would just have Stella belittled and I would go into the corner of the room and watch the diorama.
‘I’ll have to warm up a bit before I go.’
“Let’s go.”
“Yes.”
Light rises from Stella’s body. After activating her stigma, she instantly became 100 times the size of a normal person.
She turned into a giant over 160m tall. I jumped up and climbed over her head. Like Ratatouille, I stood on top of Stella’s head and gave her orders.
Thump, thump, thump.
Stella pushed through the dust and out of her comfort zone. Every time I walked forward, the amount of dust that hit me gradually decreased. And from far away, a loud noise was heard.
“What, are there other guys besides us?”
“Well.”
The sound of weapons colliding, the sound of something exploding, loud shouts and screams. It sounds like a war going on. Stella sped her way out.
After clearing the dust and stepping out of our comfort zone, we could see a huge battlefield unfolding below us.
“Oooh, are those all monsters?”
Monsters of all kinds are covetous of each other’s lives. Huge monsters shaking the earth, greenskins armed with various weapons, beasts who lust for blood while revealing their malevolence. In addition, various races are waging war by aiming weapons and magic at each other.
Monsters that seemed to be at least in the hundreds of thousands. I had no idea how many SPs and magic stones I would get if I caught them all. I smirked and ordered Stella to sweep them all away.
“Geuk, I never thought I would find such a bonanza. Stellar. Wipe it all away.”
Stella drew a scythe out of the air. Her scythe is covered in jet-black flames. Stella swung her scythe, and a crescent of black flame engulfed the middle of the battlefield.
Hundreds of monsters were swept away by black flames and burned. I opened the status window with a smile and checked the SP.
‘Let’s see… What is it, it doesn’t seem like the SP is coming in?’
It went up. But it didn’t rise as much as expected. The amount of SP that goes up without much difference from the number you normally get. I ordered Stella to hunt more.
Cooong!
Stella fell off the cliff onto the battlefield. Dozens of greenskins were crushed to death by her massive feet.
Sereung.
Stella grabbed her scythe with both her hands and swung it. Once again, the black flame spread and swallowed hundreds and thousands of monsters, turning them into ashes. Even so, the amount of SP did not change.
“These guys don’t even have magic stones. It seems to be a spawn mob.”
“Ha, fuck. Somehow, he said there were too many of them.”
Spawn mob. A word that literally means a summoned monster. Specifically, it is a word that does not mean a monster summoned from a dungeon, but a monster summoned by another monster.
Unlike the ‘regen mob’ created in the dungeon itself, even if you catch the spawn mob, you can’t get any rewards. Spawn mobs are garbage monsters that are difficult to catch and do not drop magic stones or drop items. The monsters fighting on the battlefield over there were all spawned mobs summoned by other monsters.
‘Well, they fight like that, but if it was a regen mob, the magic stones would be rolling around on the floor.’
And if that was the case, there was no way the cartel would leave this place alone. If I had the slaves pick up the magic stones, I would have been able to sit still and touch the money.
“Let’s find the named monster.”
“Yes.”
As long as it was a spawn mob, there was no need to waste time catching junk mobs. I’ll fly up to the sky I searched for strong-looking guys. The dust was so thick that I couldn’t see far, but I could get a rough idea of how it was made up.
‘I guess this is the place where the monsters spawned in each base meet.’
It seems to be a concept in which various forces compete over a huge central area. If you trace back the route of the monsters of each faction, you will find their headquarters, and you have a feeling that there will be S-class named monsters there.
I came downstairs and told Stella what I had seen. Then, I picked a moderately easy-looking force and ran towards their main base.
Thump, thump, thump.
Stella ran forward, trampling on the greenskins. With each step she took, the greenskins squashed her feet like insects.
“You cheeky giant! How dare you know where this is!!”
The greenskin warriors clad in auras and leapt towards Stella. Monsters flying towards Stella in a green hale, like a swarm of locusts. Stella made a displeased expression and raised a black flame. Waves of black flame collided with the Greenskin Corps and burned them without leaving a single bone meal.
“Things that don’t even cost money change, but they change far behind.”
Compared to Stella, they were as small as bugs, so it seemed like a real group of bugs were attacking them. The guys who don’t care about the death of her comrades, they run at Stella like moths to a fire. Stella continued to wield her black flame to forge her way.
“Something is coming.”
After advancing until there were no other races in sight and only greenskins were spread all over the place, I felt a mighty energy coming from afar. A presence that is of a different class from the ordinary janitors scattered on the floor.
“Kagal Ockar!!”
I turned my head towards where the powerful energy was approaching. In the distance, I see an orc who is twice as tall as the others stepping on the air and flying toward me and Stella.
“Geuk, I can finally relax a bit!”
I took out my sword. And now, the whole body is wrapped in heavenly light that can be handled like limbs.
“Search!!”
And it was fired like a cannonball toward the flying orcs. Magical power erupted from the sword and slashes erupted.
