Chapter 2000 – 2000. God’S Atlantis
Since when had Nyarlathotep been creeping in, pretending to be Hermes?
Even with my wisdom-filled mind, I couldn’t figure it out. Honestly, if Hypnos hadn’t told me before he died, I might not have noticed at all. I wouldn’t have suspected it in the first place.
‘The real Hermes?’
He might already be dead.
There’s no such thing as eternal immortality, and it wouldn’t be strange if Nyarlathotep knew a way to eliminate immortality.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
The gods around me collapsed one by one, fainting. Most of them were lower-ranking gods. Just seeing Nyarlathotep’s true form had this effect. Though, honestly, it didn’t even seem like his true form…
The only saving grace was that the higher-ranking gods of the Twelve Seats were enduring, though they were grimacing.
That’s because they were gods.
If they were human, they would have gone mad the moment they saw it. Or committed suicide before they went mad.
“Truly blasphemous. Just looking at you makes me feel corrupted.”
“Hahaha! Is that a joke? You’re completely fine. Corrupted? You haven’t changed even a speck of your spirit! How can a fake god have such a spirit?! Huh? Why don’t you teach me that secret?”
Nyarlathotep knew that I wasn’t a real god, that this was a trial.
I zapped the tentacles crawling out of his body with lightning and asked.
“What kind of dog-like scheme are you plotting?”
“Nothing much. You yourself are interesting, but I’m curious to see how ‘that one’ will emerge.”
“Who is ‘that one’?”
“Is it okay to say that name? Really?”
I couldn’t read Nyarlathotep’s expression because of his tentacles. But I could tell he was smirking. I stomped on his limbs, crushing them.
‘I can’t trust this guy’s words. It’s highly likely that even the one he called ‘that one’ is a lie.’
Wisdom whispered.
Kill him right now. Just talking to this guy is a loss. There was a chance that this guy, being truly insane, might utter the name of some being and summon it. Though the system was highly unlikely to allow it.
“You know my temper, right? Let’s go nicely. Was Hades and Poseidon’s rebellion also your doing?”
“You should know that better, shouldn’t you? Don’t blame everything on me. Think about what you did. You would have rebelled too. Wouldn’t you?”
I considered Hades and Poseidon’s positions. Forcing them to work was fine. But taking away their women right in front of them? Rebellion was nothing compared to that. I moved past this topic.
I decided to change the subject.
“The monster in the deep sea. Was that also your doing?”
“Don’t blame everything on me just because there are old things. I merely accelerated and twisted the predetermined destruction. For ‘that one’. And for you.”
“…For me?”
“Hehehe. This kind of experience. You can’t buy it even with money, you know?”
Annoyed, I stabbed his torso with Astrape. He let out a scream. Like an actor in a play.
“Is it time to exit? Well, it doesn’t matter. Destruction has already arrived. No matter what you do, you can’t avoid it. Just enjoy it. It’s not even true destruction anyway. Hehehe.”
His tentacles wriggled. He tried to lift himself up, leaning on his tentacles. Before he could do anything strange, I increased the output of Astrape.
Pzzzzzzzzzzzt!
His tentacles burned and melted.
I didn’t turn away from that disgusting sight. My senses, now with wisdom, were incredibly sharp.
‘This guy is basically immortal too.’
He was resisting, focusing on recovery.
Divine power.
It was different from what I had, something foreign, but it definitely existed.
‘Source power. Or existence itself. You could also call it karma.’
Eliminate the source power.
That was the simple way to kill an immortal god.
‘It’s possible because it’s a trial. The false gods of Atlantis aren’t immortal.’
I poured power into the lightning.
My source as Zeus was this lightning itself. A source was also a power. The lightning pierced and tore apart his source.
His regeneration power decreased. Starting from the tips of his tentacles, he began to turn to ash and disappear.
“Heh, hehehehe.”
“You’re laughing even as you die?”
“Because it’s so much fun! Do you know what? I quite like you. A human with an unknown secret like you is truly a first! The unknown is truly wonderful! Isn’t it?!”
“Are you trying to turn my stomach with those disgusting words? Then congratulations. Your plan succeeded.”
“I won’t delve into the unknown! The unknown itself is enjoyable! Even if I find out someday, I have to enjoy the process! There aren’t many things like this in the universe! Hahahaha!”
His torn source didn’t scatter. It just writhed in chaos. As I narrowed my eyes and tried to maximize my output, the chaos scattered without a sound. Nyarlathotep turned to ash and disappeared.
“……”
Nyarlathotep was gone. Just in case, I scattered electromagnetic waves in all directions, scanning the entire Olympus. There was nothing unusual.
“Hephaestus.”
“Yes. I’m here.”
“Bring out Olympus Mark 2. I need to dominate the battlefield at once.”
“It’s not even half finished. Even if we bring it out, it can’t be used.”
“I’ll help.”
“Lord Zeus. This is a blacksmith’s job.”
I spread my palm. A pure white machine part was created on it. Hephaestus was startled and stepped back.
“Did you, did you even gain the power of creation?”
“I became able to do it as I got stronger.”
“……You’ve even reached the ranks of a creation god. Amazing.”
“It’s not a power that suits me, so it’s not very efficient.”
“Strictly speaking, Lord Zeus is more on the destruction side.”
• • •
Olympus Mark 2.
It was a space battleship. A space battleship powered by a small volcano and endless lightning-generating storm clouds.
Olympus, moving beyond the sky into space.
I sat casually in the captain’s seat and commanded the gods piloting the space battleship.
“Kill them all. Kill the dead, and kill the things crawling out of the sea.”
Thousands of laser gun barrels on the lower hull of the battleship spewed fire. They didn’t hesitate to drop energy bombs on the ground.
The undead monsters that Hades had prepared were swept away. The deep-sea monster’s followers that Poseidon had joined hands with became fish food. Some allies were caught up and killed, but I didn’t care.
“Lord Zeus! It’s Apollo and Helios! They’re trying to drop the sun!”
“How annoying. Prepare the main cannon!”
“Main cannon charging! 10%, 20%, 30%…!”
I infused divine power into the main cannon. It was called a main cannon, but in reality, it was closer to shooting a condensed form of my power.
“Aiming complete!”
“Charging 98%! 99%! 100%! Ready to fire!”
“Lord Zeus! Give the order!”
“Fire.”
The battleship shook as the main cannon fired.
The main cannon was a giant bolt of lightning. It was Astrape maximized and compressed with countless lightning bolts. Because it was infused with divine power, it was on a different level from ordinary lightning. By the way, the properties contained in this main cannon were explosion and diffusion.
KWAHHHHHHHHH!
The main cannon collided with the sun and exploded. Additionally, the lightning diffused, annihilating the sun’s energy and heat. Because the sun was destroyed, the world went dark.
“Fragments of the sun are falling to the ground! At this rate, humans could be annihilated!”
Hephaestus said urgently.
On the other hand, I answered calmly.
“It doesn’t matter. Even if humans are annihilated, I can just create them again. With my current power, it’s more than possible.”
All my human wives were aboard Olympus Mark 2. I had no attachment to the humans on the ground.
The deaths of Apollo and Helios were confirmed. Their source was the sun itself! Since the sun had been extinguished, their existence had disappeared.
‘I’ll have to create a sun too. I guess I can have Hephaestus manage the sun.’
I got up from the captain’s seat.
Through the eyes of the sky, I saw Cronus’s Titans and Typhon’s Gigantes. I also saw famous monsters like the Hydra and the Nemean Lion. They were Echidna and Typhon’s children. It seemed they had joined hands.
Echidna’s upper body was that of a beautiful woman. But her lower body was a snake. Even if her face was pretty, a snake’s vagina was a bit much. My interest completely faded.
I teleported in front of them.
“I heard you were fighting each other… Did you join hands again so soon?”
“We only temporarily joined hands to kill you.”
Cronus growled, holding a scythe.
“Uranus is nowhere to be seen. Even so, you couldn’t join hands with Uranus?”
“That old man was just preparing for death. He was just spouting nonsense about destruction… Zeus. You’ll regret appearing before us. Even if it’s you, against all of us.”
KWAHHHHHHHHH!
Lightning struck from the sky. Dozens of Titans were annihilated by a single bolt of lightning.
Cronus’s eyes widened.
“That’s impossible! We are immortal! Annihilation! It’s impossible! What kind of trick did you use?!”
“It’s not a trick. There is no eternal immortality. Gods are no exception. Do you want true immortality? Transcend the cycle of karma. Well, if that’s possible.”
KWAHHHHHHHHH!
Gods died every time lightning struck.
Fear filled Cronus’s eyes. Cronus screamed as if to shake off the fear and rushed at me.
Unfortunately, it had no effect. I shattered Cronus’s scythe with a punch. And then, I slowly tore apart his limbs with my bare hands.
“You! You are not a god! You’re a monster! A monster!”
“If you don’t understand, then I’m a monster. Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed. There’s no difference between humans and you.”
I threw Cronus into the sky. Lightning struck and annihilated Cronus.
Monsters, including Typhon, rushed at me.
‘Slow. I’m about to yawn.’
Typhon. In the original story, he was Zeus’s adversary. But the Typhon in front of me was just a mediocre monster. He tried to crush me with his brute force. But my body didn’t budge. Annoyed, I slapped his head and killed him.
“Kieeeeeek!”
The Hydra spewed venom. There were other Gigas gods, including Echidna, but the terrified Hydra was reckless.
“Kuaaaaaaak!”
The Gigas gods screamed in agony as they collapsed from the poison. The immortal gods who didn’t die were trapped in eternal pain.
“That stings.”
I shook off the poison on my arm. I was too strong now to be affected by such poison.
I killed the Hydra and left the Gigantes writhing in pain. They couldn’t do anything but writhe in pain from the Hydra’s poison.
‘Next is Hades and Poseidon.’
Perhaps the trial would end if I killed only those guys.
“……!!”
I felt a gaze.
I quickly turned my head. There was no gaze. I narrowed my eyes. For a moment, I felt an indescribable unpleasantness.
‘This doesn’t feel good. I need to finish this as quickly as possible.’
