Chapter 1753 – 1753. Savior Of The Academy
I killed all the students inside the capsules. Yet, my anger did not subside.
A cool breeze blew around me. The wind caressed my face and hair. But my eyes grew even colder.
‘There are still many bastards to kill.’
The capsules aren’t just here. This is only for Class A of the third year. There must be capsules gathered in other places as well.
‘This academy isn’t just made up of students and teachers. There are combat personnel for emergencies, researchers and developers for the Tera Simulator. There are more than enough bastards to kill.’
What I’m worried about is this power. I hope this power doesn’t run out until I’ve killed them all.
‘There’s no such thing as infinite power in this world.’
The Susanoo’s Magatama is the same. If its power runs out, it will need something to replenish it. It would be best if it replenished naturally, but there’s a high chance that it will require a price.
‘If it wants a price from me, I’ll ignore it. It gave me the power, so I’m using it, but I didn’t ask for it.’
I walk out of the capsule room. I stop for a moment and look back. Sung Hari, who is asleep in the capsule, showed no signs of waking up.
‘If Arinna’s words are correct, it’ll take about 40 minutes for her to wake up.’
It didn’t even take 3 minutes to kill all the bastards here. 40 minutes would be more than enough to kill everyone in the academy.
I walked slowly out the door.
I send out subtle electromagnetic waves into the wind. The waves I send out are a kind of sense. It’s similar to how bats emit ultrasonic waves. Except, I emit electromagnetic waves.
Anyway, thanks to these electromagnetic waves, the structure of the Caso Academy building was immediately imprinted in my head. Hidden spaces and hidden bastards. Even unknown areas that the electromagnetic waves couldn’t reach.
As I walked forward, I swung the Kusanagi Sword at the wall next to me. The Kusanagi Sword smoothly cut through the wall. I only put in a little bit of force, but I didn’t feel any resistance at all.
A man in a gown was hiding inside the wall. His hands were on a laptop keyboard. Looking at it briefly, he was sending an email to someone. The internet was down, so the email wasn’t being sent. On the opposite wall, there were many mechanical devices.
“Hiding like a rat. Is this where you keep the data?”
“Hick…! P-please, spare me! I’m just a low-level employee! I was just doing what I was told!”
“What did you do?”
“Huh?”
“You said you were doing what you were told. I asked what you did.”
I stabbed the Kusanagi Sword into the machine.
Crack! Bang!
The machine exploded. The explosive power was weak. Electricity flowed into me through the sword. Normally, I would have been electrocuted, but not now. I absorbed the electricity instead.
The man was startled. He must have taken it as a threat, as he stuttered in fear.
“It’s the records of the academy students. It’s the mental and physical data to check for side effects of the Tera Simulator.”
“Human experimentation records, huh?”
“N-no human experimentation! These are records for the safety of the students…!”
The man, who had raised his voice at me, quickly realized his place and lowered his head.
I wasn’t really interested. The question I asked him was just to satisfy a sudden curiosity.
I cut off his limbs.
“Aaaaargh! Why, why?!”
“Why am I killing you? Or why am I cutting off your limbs first?”
“I-I answered your question!”
“So what. I would have killed you even if you hadn’t answered. As for why I’m cutting off your limbs first… it’s just because. It’s like killing a bug. I want to kill you like this, so I’m killing you like this.”
I lightly stabbed his abdomen with the sword. Just enough to pierce his intestines slightly.
“Aaaaaaaargh!”
He writhed in pain. He flopped his torso around without his limbs. The more he did, the deeper the sword went. I beheaded him just before he died. He died tasting the pain of having his arms cut off, his stomach stabbed, and his neck cut.
I look back. Seven armed men are running towards me.
“You damn bastard!”
“Drop your weapon and surrender if you don’t want to die!”
“This is your last warning! Drop your weapon and surrender!”
I scoffed at their voices.
“If it were me, I would have attacked first.”
An arrow flies. It was an arrow shot by a small woman at the very back, hiding behind her comrades’ shoulders. The blue glowing arrow was not ordinary.
‘It doesn’t seem like the woman who shot the arrow has the ability… Does the arrow itself have a special ability?’
Screeeeeeech.
The arrow was blocked by the wind. The wind created a small vortex, blocking the arrow head-on.
The light of the arrow grew stronger and exploded. The light became dozens of strands of light, trying to bind me.
No way.
The small vortex of wind instantly grew larger and tore apart the strands of light. I broke through the scattered strands of light in the air and moved forward.
“I can’t believe the A-rank binding arrow didn’t work! I should have attacked first… Aaaargh!”
I cut down the man at the very front. He screamed in pain, but still counterattacked me. His sword tip aimed for my chest.
[Using Moment(刹那). Remaining stacks: 6]
The attacks and movements of the bastards, which I could already see, became even slower. It even felt like time had stopped.
‘Yeah. This is the feeling. The sensation when using Moment.’
Half a year trapped in virtual reality. It was a sensation I had forgotten because I hadn’t used it even once.
Just before his sword reached my chest, I moved. I narrowly dodged the sword and shoved the Kusanagi Sword into his collarbone. This time, he didn’t even scream and died instantly. Then, the fist of the man next to him, wearing a gauntlet, came flying.
The space around his fist distorted. I could tell that the power in his fist was not ordinary.
[Using Moment(刹那). Remaining stacks: 5]
‘If I don’t get hit, it’s fine.’
I dodge the fist and move in. The Kusanagi Sword cuts through his neck. Before his head even hit the ground, the man behind him charged.
Slow. Even without using Moment, his movements are clearly visible. I swing my sword and cut him down. I cut down the man behind him as well. I moved forward, cutting down the enemies. When my sword stopped, there was no one blocking me.
Thud.
I heard the sound of corpses falling behind me. I didn’t look back and continued forward.

Something was wrong.
Kurosawa Yui felt uneasy as she walked down the hallway. She was heading to the headmaster’s office.
She didn’t know what had happened, but Sung Yu-jin was going berserk and killing everyone. Kurosawa Yui, who was not a hunter, had to escape to the safest place. The safest place she could think of was where the headmaster was.
-It’s a, a monster! A monster… Aaaaargh!
-Support! We need support!
-Damn it! What are the security guards doing?!
-Call for outside help! He’s too strong! We can’t stop him!
Those were the sounds coming from her radio. She snatched the radio and threw it on the floor. The information she could get through the radio was all similar. The opponent was moving, killing everyone step by step without any exceptions. He even found and killed those hiding in secret places, somehow.
‘Call for outside help? Do you think I haven’t tried that?’
For Kurosawa Yui, the Tera Simulator project was important. She had staked her future on it. But it wasn’t more important than her own life. As soon as she judged that things had gone wrong, she tried to contact the outside, the Japanese Hero Association.
The attempt ended as an attempt.
She used all communication devices other than smartphones, laptops, and computers, but none of them could connect properly.
The cause of the communication failure was not difficult to figure out.
Rattle, rattle!
The windows shook violently. These were the windows of the academy, a newly built building. The windows, which had not shaken even during any typhoon, were now rattling as if they were about to break.
It was dark outside the window. Was it because it was night? No. It was 2 PM now. It was the time when the sunlight should be shining brightly. In fact, the sun was dazzlingly bright until 15 minutes ago.
15 minutes ago, dark clouds suddenly gathered. They covered the sun and it started to pour. Lightning struck non-stop, and trees were uprooted and blown away by the wind. The communication with the outside was also cut off because of that storm.
There was a likely cause.
‘Susanoo’s Magatama. The power of Susanoo, the god of storms. The headmaster failed.’
She felt like cursing the headmaster to the very end of her throat. But to survive in this situation, she needed the headmaster’s power.
Let’s live first.
Kurosawa Yui hurried her steps towards the headmaster’s office.
Bang!
An explosion rang out.
Kurosawa Yui, who was walking forward in the hallway, stopped. The explosion came from the front. She could sense a presence at the corner of the hallway in front of her.
“Ugh… S-save me…”
Bang!
Another explosion rang out.
Blood and guts flew from the unseen corner, dirtying the floor and windows.
‘What is this…’
Suddenly, human contents were flying out of the corner of the hallway? It was an unrealistic sight. Even a cheap B-grade movie wouldn’t include such an absurd scene.
Whoosh.
The wind blew. Her hair fluttered in the wind mixed with the smell of blood.
Thump, thump, thump.
Someone was coming up. It was definitely Sung Yu-jin. Kurosawa Yui took a step back without realizing it. Her heart was pounding like crazy. To make matters worse, her lower abdomen hurt.
Sung Yu-jin revealed himself. His body, which had massacred dozens of people, had not a single drop of blood on it. Only the sword he held in his dangling hand was shining menacingly.
Kurosawa Yui tried to turn around and run away, but she failed because her ankle was caught by the wind. She fell to the floor and looked up at Sung Yu-jin approaching her.
“S-stop! You want to kill the headmaster, right? I know where the headmaster is!”
“The headmaster would be in the headmaster’s office.”
“Ugh… I don’t want to die. Please spare me! I’ll do anything, anything…!”
Sung Yu-jin’s gaze swept over her body. Kurosawa Yui’s mind was spinning. Where was her value? A researcher? Was her research knowledge needed? If that was needed, the other researchers wouldn’t have died.
Something more primitive. Something more primal. A woman’s body.
Kurosawa Yui unbuttoned her shirt. She revealed her cleavage. C-cup. She was quite confident. She then spread her legs. So that the area under her skirt, covered in pantyhose, was clearly visible.
“Anything! I’ll do anything!”
“You’re smart. You know what I want. You could even be called a beauty, in a way.”
Sung Yu-jin’s voice was soft. But Kurosawa Yui trembled even more in fear. Unlike his voice, his eyes were endlessly cold.
“But I’m a little pissed off right now.”
Sung Yu-jin, who had approached her, raised his sword.
“Just die.”
Kurosawa Yui was cut in half and died.
