Chapter 1183 – Day 15
Squeak.
I pushed the door open and entered the carpentry shop. I tried to be as gentle as possible, but the door was old, and it made a loud noise.
The men who were enjoying their orgy turned their gazes towards me.
“Who’s that?!”
“It’s him! The one who killed Sasaki!”
“Kill him! He’s killed more than one or two people!”
The naked men rushed at me. It was a gruesome yet familiar sight.
‘I’ve seen this a few times in porn.’
It was a scene where they chased after an AV actress, but I never imagined I’d be the target.
I quickly grabbed a weapon placed next to the door. The blade of the katana gleamed under the light.
“I didn’t want to see your naked bodies…”
I decided to kill them all.
The naked men hesitated for a moment when I grabbed the sword, but they soon rushed at me again. They cautiously surrounded me, more carefully than before. I was alone, and there were more than ten of them. They believed in their numerical advantage.
‘I’ll show you how futile that advantage is.’
I couldn’t use Full Recovery. It had a 12-hour cooldown, and not even half of half that time had passed.
I had to be careful, but I didn’t think I would lose. I had a sword in my hand, and they were barehanded and naked.
“Haaah.”
I inhaled. My muscles expanded. I gripped the sword hilt tightly and charged at them.
“Hurry, attack all at once!”
Hands reached out from all directions. I spun around, swinging the sword in a circle.
Blood and screams erupted.
“Aaaah! My eye!”
“My hand!!”
The men panicked. And fear crept out from among them. Their eyes, looking at me, were filled with dread. Some of the smarter ones tried to grab the weapons next to me, but I wouldn’t allow it. I prioritized killing those who tried to grab weapons and started killing the closest ones first.
The men were frozen in fear, forced to watch their comrades being butchered. Escape? The only exit was behind me, and the windows were too small for a person to get through.
A little time passed.
There were only three people alive in the carpentry shop, including me. And I was the only man.
I stopped as I was about to approach Minewaki Julie and Aizawa Nachiko. They were trembling as they looked at me. It was understandable, considering I had killed more than ten people in three minutes.
“…”
Should I kill them? Or not?
Honestly, I didn’t feel any murderous intent towards them.
Their betrayal? I never trusted them in the first place, and I wasn’t interested, so could it even be called betrayal?
‘They’re not my type, so I don’t feel like raping them. Who cares what happens to these bitches.’
I would have killed them if they were men, but since they were women, I decided to show mercy. You never know. They might give birth to beautiful women in the future.
‘Well, I’ll be returning to reality after the quest is over.’
No matter what, I didn’t feel like killing them. So, I decided to let them live.
Clang.
I dropped the katana.
It wasn’t that my hand had lost strength. I discarded it. The blade was damaged from cutting through more than ten people. I needed to find another weapon. Fortunately, there wasn’t just one katana. There were two more. It seemed that because they were Japanese, they preferred katanas as weapons.
‘This weapon is here too.’
A chainsaw.
It was a chainsaw.
Putting aside its efficiency as an actual weapon, the sound of a chainsaw engine instilled fear in people. I grabbed the chainsaw and left the carpentry shop.
I didn’t even glance at the two women inside.
‘They’ll figure it out.’
•••
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
The sound of the chainsaw whirring echoed through the village.
“Aaaaaaaaaaah!”
A villager screamed and ran away. I chased after him and swung the chainsaw. The chainsaw tore through his back. Blood splattered everywhere. I wiped the blood from my forehead with the back of my hand and kicked the corpse.
The hospital was visible ahead. I had killed every villager I saw on the way here. I must have killed about eight people.
‘I thought they were all dead… but they were there.’
Next to the hospital, in a mansion, the villagers were gathered, staging a small siege. The villagers were trying to get into the mansion by any means, and the college students were holding out inside. They were throwing stones at the villagers trying to climb over the wall and resisting with weapons.
At the center of the villagers was Shimada, the police substation chief. He was calming down the dozen or so agitated villagers. They hadn’t noticed my presence yet.
“The resistance is too fierce. They’re throwing stones when we try to climb the wall… We need more people. What’s the status of the backup?”
“We contacted the guys at the carpentry shop… but they haven’t responded.”
“Did something happen at the carpentry shop?”
“What could have happened? They’re probably too busy with the women to notice the time.”
“If we had ten more people, we could have all climbed over the wall at once and overwhelmed them…”
“Can’t we just set the mansion on fire? Then those young punks will come running out.”
“Have you forgotten whose mansion this is? It’s the shrine maiden’s family home. Do you have the guts to face the shrine maiden’s wrath?”
“…I misspoke. Please pretend you didn’t hear that. I was just so frustrated that I said that…”
“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear it.”
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
The chainsaw roared. The villagers in front of the mansion turned their heads and looked at me. They stared at me silently, and I grinned at them and charged. It was already too late when Shimada pulled out his revolver. I gleefully swung the chainsaw among the villagers.
“Aaaaaaaaaaah!”
Screams echoed.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Shimada didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger of his revolver, even with the villagers around him. A villager in front of me fell, shot. I moved behind another villager. I used the people as cover to approach Shimada.
“You’re shooting too openly. Don’t you feel sorry for the villagers getting hit by your bullets?”
“Killing you is the priority.”
Bang!
The fourth bullet grazed my head. I threw the chainsaw on the ground. And I pulled out two pistols from my pocket. Not revolvers, but automatic pistols.
“Guns?! You crazy bastard!”
“I killed the guys in black and took them. Pretty cool, right? My shooting skills are terrible… but at this distance, it’s a different story.”
With a pistol in each hand, I opened fire on Shimada. Seven bullets pierced Shimada’s head and torso. Then, I chased after the fleeing villagers, firing bullets indiscriminately.
Every time I pulled the trigger, someone died. At a distance of 10 meters, maybe not, but at a distance of 3 meters, even I could get headshots.
The streets were littered with the corpses of villagers. I threw away the empty pistols and walked towards the mansion.
“Hello?! It’s me, Sung Yujin! I’ve taken care of all the villagers! Open the door!”
“…”
There was no immediate response.
I was wondering if I should force the door open when it happened.
“What are you doing? Open the door.”
“…Nakagami. Aren’t you… afraid?”
“Yujin is my boyfriend. Move. I’ll open the door.”
“…”
The door opened.
The blonde beauty, Nakagami Lisa, looked at me and grinned.
“You look amazing?”
I was covered in blood from head to toe. Of course, it wasn’t my blood.
“I’m glad you’re safe, senior.”
I went inside.
The club members, including the club president, Mori Masahiro, were visible. They were all wary of me. It was only natural. I had just shot and killed dozens of people in front of them. And they must be wondering why I was outside.
“Sung. The reason we didn’t open the door right away…”
“I understand, Mori-senpai. It could have been someone pretending to be me.”
“…Thank you. There are many things I want to ask you, like why you were outside and where you got the guns…”
“I’ll explain everything. But can I take a shower first? I feel very uncomfortable right now.”
“I should be the one asking you that.”
•••
I finished showering and changed my clothes.
My body was all fresh and clean.
I looked at my clean hands. In comics and movies, hands that have been stained with blood still look like they have blood on them even after they’ve been washed, but… that wasn’t the case for me. My hands were clean and smelled of fragrant soap.
I entered the room where all the club members were gathered.
They watched me with nervous eyes. I plopped down in the center of them and told them about the village. Everyone was shocked by what I said. Some of them clenched their fists, their faces contorted as they tried to suppress their nausea. Among them, Mori Masahiro gritted his teeth with anger.
“…They’re making a drug called Blood Pill using humans as ingredients? This village… was a factory.”
“Yes. We were almost used as ingredients. The bodies of Tanaka-senpai, Gonzo-senpai, and Sakurai-senpai were also found in the hospital basement. If you don’t believe me… you can go check the annex right now.”
“We already checked the annex. We confirmed the existence of that… Blood Pill and drug powder. We found a basement passage… but we blocked it off for now. It would be a problem if the villagers came in through there. …I never imagined there would be such machines beyond the basement passage…”
Mori Masahiro tried his best to control his anger. The reason he was angry was probably because of his friend who had gone missing in this village last year.
“From what I’ve seen, this isn’t just about Okaruma Village. There must have been outside help.”
“…To produce Blood Pills consistently… they must have been bringing in corpses from outside.”
“What I’m trying to say is that the outside helpers might already be surrounding the mountain.”
“…Are we trapped in this village? If what you say is true, even if we go down the mountain, we’ll be helpless against the guys who are surrounding it.”
“Yes. And staying here is not a good idea either.”
“Because the guys… could come up to the village.”
Mori Masahiro sighed. Everyone’s expression was grim.
“There is a way.”
“…A way?”
“The person in charge of this is the shrine maiden. If we capture the shrine maiden… there will be a way. Not only that, but if we can contact the outside… we can inform them of the terrible things that have happened here and get help.”
“Isn’t it possible that the Japanese government is in on it?”
“Then we can ask for help from somewhere other than the Japanese government. Like the US or Korea.”
“……This is Japan.”
“If Blood Pill, that drug, becomes known, do you think the US and Korea will just sit still? Especially Korea, which doesn’t have a good relationship with Japan.”
Everyone was lost in thought.
“…There’s a possibility.”
Fudo Jun said. The others’ eyes also lit up. I could feel their will to live. They didn’t want to die in a place like this either.
We talked a little more and came to a conclusion.
We would go to the shrine, capture the shrine maiden, and threaten her to contact the outside. Even if the shrine maiden didn’t give in to the threats, she would be valuable as a hostage.
