Chapter 5 – Home and Reunion (5)
Upon hearing Isabella’s explanation of the situation, Mason realized that she had made a mistake.
To think that something like that happened to Sianna while she was away from home. As she hurried to go upstairs, Isabella grabbed her.
“Sister, are you going to apologize right now?”
“…Then, why?”
“The fact that I go to apologize to Shiana right now will actually make the problem worse.”
Isabella said, sighing as if she was a little frustrated.
“Sister, why are you apologizing now?”
“What?”
“It’s an incident that happened while my sister was away from her house right now. My sister didn’t know anything, and she told Sianna yesterday that she was going to the market too, right?”
“Yeah, that’s right.”
“Then how is your sister responsible for what happened in the meantime? Of course-“
As Mason tried to tell her story, Isabella held her back.
“-She knows that she feels responsible because her sister has Sianna as her guest, but she doesn’t actually have her sister’s responsibility anywhere. Rather.”
Her purple eyes peered into Sianna’s brown ones.
“Siana-san shouldn’t act like that.”
Mason felt frustrated by Isabella’s words. There’s nothing wrong with that, but she didn’t know Sianna. She knows what the poor kid has been through.
But Isabella only resumed speaking in a quiet but clear voice.
“On the contrary, if you apologize to Ms. Shiana now, she will use it as an excuse to complain even more, does her sister know?”
Mason involuntarily nodded her head. Not only has she never been like that before, but Shiana and herself have already—
“-Right now, Unni and Shiana-san are too used to each other’s relationship. A relationship where one gets angry and the other accepts.”
It was just as Mason usually thought. Mason suddenly felt awkward at Isabella’s cool demeanor.
She was no longer the cute pouting little girl of memory.
“But…”
“Sister, when you’re in the wrong relationship like this, it’s hard for both of you.”
Mason could only nod her head. As Isabella said, she was already very tired. Mason sat down at her table again, weakly guided by her hand.
“To be honest, I don’t understand why my sister cares about Shiana so much. Why did you bring her in the first place?”
In response to her question, Mason pondered while fiddling with the teacup placed in front of her.
It’s a story I’ve never told before, but wouldn’t it be okay if it was Isabella? Mason let out a sigh before she began to speak slowly.
“…Do you remember what Lucia was like when she was little?”
“Are you Lucia?”
She didn’t seem to know that she would bring up the story of her brother.
“Even Lucia, when I decided to become a paladin, she was angry with me for months, just like Cyanna, and she got into trouble with everything.”
“Yes, I vaguely remember.”
“Because I was young too, I chose to become a paladin for Lucia in the hopes that she would live a better life, but I felt sad and angry at Lucia for not knowing that? But, a few years later, they talked about it in a letter.”
She couldn’t let go of the teacup in front of her and continued to fiddle with it.
She said, “She said she was sorry, she said what she originally wanted to say was not to go, but she was just so sad and angry that her sister was leaving, and she was unknowingly upset.”
Her gaze shifted suddenly from the teacup to Isabella, her warm purple eyes.
Wouldn’t it be possible for Isabella to get more help if she confessed all the facts?
But Mason barely persevered. Siana’s secret was too much of a problem.
“… Shia, she didn’t have a normal life. She knows nothing about the world, and although she is older than you, she is practically a child.”
The moment her stigma, the symbol of her sainthood, appeared, Shiana was separated from her parents and raised by her Order. She had no parents, no relatives, no friends, and only one identity that made her a saint.
When God stopped answering her prayers, from then on, Cyana changed.
It was as if she had lost her destiny in life.
She has lived a life where everyone has taken care of her since she was a child, but when her church collapsed, nothing was left. So, Siana gradually began to change.
The saintess who was kind to everyone has become a vulgar, unlearned person who vents her confusion and anger on others. No matter what she does, she complains and grumbles and shoots at others.
“Lucia was lucky to have friends the same age as you and Becky and people from our village, but Ciana didn’t have those people.”
Fortunately, Lucia was able to thrive with the help of the people around her and the villagers, but she and Cyana were not.
In her image of being stripped of her identity as a saint and losing everything, Mason saw Lucia after she left.
A small, younger brother who resembled himself, locked in his room with the door closed as he is now.
If the villagers hadn’t taken care of her Lucia, she wouldn’t have become the same as Ciana.
“…I see Lucia as a child in Sianna.”
Her voice cracked a little.
“… When I look at Sianna, she thinks of her guilt and regret for not taking care of Lucia. So I want to take care of you.”
Mason let out a small laugh. She thought herself stupid. In a situation where she can’t live in abundance even if she lives alone, she will feed others other than her family.
“Are you stupid? Lucia has become a full-fledged young lady now, and the fact that she is trying to resolve her guilt through her Sianna…”
“Sister…”
Her rough, soft hands covered her teacup. Her Isabella’s hand was warm, and Mason lifted her teary-eyed head, her Isabella’s soft, warm eyes smiling at her.
“Thank you for being honest.”
Mason burst into tears. She, who had never told anyone before, felt relieved and sad when she confessed her true feelings. She wept silently as Isabella comforted her.
After some time and a bit of self-control, Mason wiped her tears and looked at Isabella and noticed her scars.
“…Thanks for listening, Isabella.”
“No, if you have any worries or anything you want to talk about, please tell me, okay?”
As she did so, Isabella’s left cheek, smiling lightly, saw a thin, long scar.
“Wait for a sec.”
Mason unwittingly touched Isabella’s left cheek, as she had done in childhood. Isabella was momentarily taken aback by her actions, but she gently took Mason’s hand.
“It wasn’t until yesterday, was it? What’s the matter?”
“Ah. That’s… Shiana-san accidentally…”
“What?”
She hastily removed her hand. Are the scars caused by Siana?
“…I’m sorry, Isabella. I will apologize on your behalf.”
“Oh, no. Siana-san also apologized earlier.”
Nevertheless, when Mason repeatedly apologized for her apologies, Isabella said as if she had come up with a good idea after she kept refusing.
“Well, then will you please do my two favors?”
Ask?
Her request was simple. One is that she will scold her for what Jimmy and Rupert caused her to do, and she will come to apologize to him personally, so please don’t worry too much about it.
Mason agreed, considering her Isabella’s position. Jimmy and Rupert’s parents both worked on Mr. Gordon’s farm, so if this problem escalated, running the farm would be inconvenient.
“Second, I want you to work on our farm!”
But her second request had to be politely declined. Especially since the same thing happened today.
“Sorry, you know now, but Sianna is in a very anxious state, so I think we should stay together. That’s why I’m looking into her letter ghostwriting job.”
“…Really, if you go that far, you won’t be able to ask me to work anymore. But if you change your mind later, please tell me.”
“Thank you so much, Isabella. Really.”
Mason, too, knew that Isabella was trying to get her a good job, so she expressed her sincere thanks. Isabella smiled brightly and rose from her seat.
“Sister, then please grant me one more wish instead.”
“Huh?”
“Will you take me home like you used to?”
Isabella’s purple eyes shone beautifully. Mason marveled at how the little girl had become a mature and pretty lady.
“You promised yesterday. Will you take me?”
She smiles on her beautiful face and holds out her white hand. She thought of Sianna and tried to refuse, but she couldn’t help but refuse now that she had listened to her own concerns.
Mason laughed at her cuteness and took her hand and rose from her seat.
“…Okay. I’ll take you.”
Before I knew it, the sun was slowly sinking over the ridge.
“Isabella, it is me. May I come in?”
In the evening, a woman knocks on Isabella’s door. She was a woman with blonde hair and freckles, and although she was not exceptionally beautiful, she was angular, with a pretty face and a nice body enough to be the first love of the village boys.
“Come in.”
Hearing Isabella’s voice from inside, she cautiously opens the door. As she sees the beautiful girl sitting on the bed and reading a book, she sees her heart beating like crazy. They were once childhood friends, but now her feelings for Isabella are very different.
Isabella closed her book and pulled the chair from the dressing table by the bed.
“Sit Becky. And tell me what happened.”
Becky squirmed like a mouse and sat down, and he explained how he had done her job well. Isabella, who listened to her story in silence, said with a cold expression.
“Good job. Good job Becky.”
Isabella reached out and stroked Becky’s hair. The feeling of her soft hands running down her own hair was strangely good and made her want it even more.
“…Ugh.”
Becky groaned involuntarily. Isabella snorted coldly at her.
“Becky, is she just getting horny from having her hair stroked?”
Isabella’s expression of cold contempt catches her eye in her eyes, which are loose. She couldn’t explain when she started, but she took a strange pleasure in seeing Isabella treat her like an inferior.
“Yes…”
After her relationship with Isabella was reestablished, Becky wrote her honorifics when they were alone, just as Isabella had told her to do.
“Are you really helpless?”
Every time she betrayed herself, Becky felt a chill. Isabella suddenly grabbed her by the back of the neck and pulled her closer. Her beautiful long eyelashes, her purple eyes like two jewels, her pointed nose, her pale pink lips all caught Becky’s eye.
“Becky.”
I could feel Isabella’s sweet breath. Becky felt herself heating up.
“Yes…”
It was nice to see her enchanting gaze pressurize her to the point of suffocating herself.
“I will give you a prize.”
Slowly, she kissed her lips. Becky opened her mouth to make it easier for her to mix her tongue. Isabella’s sticky tongue goes into her mouth and gets mixed up. She traverses her tongue, her mouth, exchanging her saliva.
“Eww…”
The short kiss was over. Before I knew it, my tightly clenched hands were full of sweat. Becky looked at Isabella with hazy eyes full of regret. It was nice to see her overbearing eyes looking at him as if he were inferior.
While looking at her to carve in her eyes, her eyes open to Isabella’s scar on her left cheek.
“…This.”
Becky involuntarily reached out and touched her wound as she turned her head and felt a tingling shock on her cheek.
“…Dirty dog subject.”
Looking at her was Isabella with her cold fury in her eyes. Covering the left cheek that Becky had been touching.
“Is our Becky incapable of learning?”
Her insult gave Becky pleasure. Isabella’s disappointed voice followed.
“Why are you presumptuously putting your hand on your master’s cheek? Was it not enough that I was hit last time?”
Becky knelt down under her bed, feeling her pain. Hoping that soon Isabella would speak her last words.
“My Becky, it’s been a while since I’ve done something useful, so I wanted to give you an award.”
After she heard the sound of the covers on her bed moving, she felt the soft touch of her feet on the back of her head. Becky’s body heats up and he moans involuntarily.
“Will you come to your senses after being punished?”
