Chapter 219 – 219 – Gathering Connections (8)
After finishing their meal, Joo Harin and her group took the subway.
The subway was crowded, and they attracted quite a bit of attention. Not only was Jung Eunju stunning, but Minjia and Jina also had incredible figures and faces.
It was inevitable that the men’s eyes would be drawn to them.
Harin ignored the stares and looked at her phone.
All the rental houses they were going to see today were listed there.
“Where are we going first?”
Jung Eunju asked from beside her as she looked at her phone. Harin glanced at her and said,
“There’s a pretty good studio apartment near Sadang Station, so I told the real estate agent about it.”
“Ah, I see.”
They had quite a few places to visit today.
It would have been great if they could have driven around, but Harin didn’t have a license, and Jia and Jina, who did have licenses, didn’t have cars.
It was a bit of a shame, but Harin resolved that once she became independent and earned a lot of money, she would quickly get her license and buy a car.
Joo Harin made that promise to herself.
Bored, Jia looked at Eunju and Jina and asked,
“By the way, how did you two meet?”
“Ah, me and Jina? It’s a bit of a long story, but when I was a freshman in college, I accidentally—”
The three of them quietly started chatting.
As they talked and laughed together, they quickly arrived at their destination.
“Ah, we get off now, right?”
“Yeah. This is the place. We need to go out of Exit 7.”
Harin and Eunju got off at Sadang Station, took the escalator up, and entered the real estate office closest to the exit.
A friendly-looking middle-aged woman greeted them.
“Welcome~.”
“I’m the one who called yesterday. Joo Harin. I’m here to look at some rentals.”
“Ah~, Ms. Harin. You’re right on time?”
As they had arranged in advance, Harin was able to look at the studio apartment right away without wasting any time.
The first place they looked at was a duplex studio apartment.
It was a neat studio apartment located five minutes from the subway station, which was great for transportation. The interior structure looked good in the photos, and the size seemed spacious enough for two people, so she had put it on her list of candidates.
“This place is very popular with college students and young professionals. It’s very spacious, and the open view is refreshing. Oh, and the transportation is great too.”
“Yeah, this place seems pretty good?”
The real estate agent explained the studio apartment in detail, and Jia walked around inside, evaluating it as if it were her own place.
“Yeah, the price doesn’t seem bad either.”
“Of course~. This place also gets a lot of sunlight, and the structure itself is so good that many people prefer it.”
Eunju also carefully looked around the studio apartment.
Harin also silently looked around the interior, and it seemed pretty good to her as well.
However, since she had many candidates on her list, it was better to look at other places before making a decision.
“We’ll look at other places and come back.”
“Okay~, please contact me.”
Harin, who said she would come back if she liked it, left the studio apartment with her group.
“Where to next?”
“Take the subway two more stops from here. It’s about a 5-minute walk from there. It’s also a studio apartment.”
The second studio apartment was similar in evaluation to the first one.
However, the second one was not a duplex, and it was also less convenient in terms of transportation than the first studio apartment.
Harin left the studio apartment with her group.
“Now, let’s look at the next one.”
“Yeah. Next is a villa. It’s not that far from here.”
The four of them visited a total of three studio apartments and two villas in that manner.
After walking around and seeing the interiors, there were places that were better than she had expected, and there were also places that were a bit disappointing.
“It’s already well past 12 o’clock.”
As they were looking at places to live, the clock was already pointing to almost 1 o’clock.
They had left the hotel around 9 a.m., and time had passed so quickly.
Jia said,
“Yeah, we should start thinking about lunch.”
“What do you want to eat? I’ll buy lunch.”
“No, Harin. You got us a cheap deal at the hotel, so I should definitely buy it.”
Harin tried to buy lunch, but she was pushed back by Eunju’s strong insistence, and she gave in to her.
They all ate lunch at a Korean restaurant near the bus stop and moved to see the last remaining villa.
“The place we’re going to this time is the one Jia found, right?”
“That’s right.”
Eunju asked while they were on the bus, and Harin answered. Jia waved her hand at their words.
“Hey, it’s not like I found it. It’s just that my acquaintance’s parents run a real estate business, so I asked them to recommend a good place.”
“That’s finding it for us. Thank you.”
“Hehe.”
Their appointment time was 2 p.m.
After eating lunch and moving, they were able to arrive at the real estate office right on time.
“Ah, you’re here.”
“Yes, we’re here to see the villa.”
“Yes, let’s go right away. This way.”
Harin and Eunju’s group were able to look around the villa with the kind guidance of the real estate agent.
“It’s a three-room villa. It has polished tile flooring, so the floor is very clean, and it doesn’t cost much for heating.”
“Wow.”
Jia was amazed as soon as she entered the villa.
“This place is amazing?”
It was the cleanest place among the studio apartments and villas they had seen so far.
The subway and bus stops were close by, which was great for transportation, and the size itself seemed very spacious for two people to live in.
“Yeah, it’s almost like an apartment.”
“You said the monthly rent here is 60, right?”
“Yes, the building owner is also very young, so they put it out at a much cheaper price than usual. It hasn’t been long since unit 403 was vacated.”
If the monthly rent was 60, then they would each pay 30 a month. It was the best-looking place, but the monthly rent wasn’t that expensive; it was rather cheap.
‘Eunju said she would pay the deposit.’
Harin looked at Eunju.
Honestly, she wondered if she deserved this much gratitude.
Eunju’s piano YouTube channel was exploding in popularity right now.
Her subscriber count was incredibly high, and her views were doing well. According to rumors, with that many subscribers and views, she could earn hundreds of millions of won a month…
She could have lived alone, but she had suggested living together because she was thinking of her. On top of that, she was even paying the deposit.
‘Someday, I will too…’
She wanted to succeed on her own like Eunju.
Harin looked around the house while thinking that. And the conclusion she came to was that this place was good enough to live in.
“Thank you. It was great.”
“Okay, please contact me again if you like it~.”
Joo Harin had almost decided to live in the last villa in her heart.
Still, it would be good to go to a nearby cafe and look at the photos together and have some time to think about it again.
Harin led her group back out onto the street.
“Let’s go to a cafe, organize our thoughts, and decide.”
“Ah, okay. That’s good. Which cafe are we going to? There seem to be quite a few around here. How about that Starbooks over there?”
Normally, Starbooks would be a good choice, but at Eunju’s words, Jia clicked her tongue.
Jia said,
“No, that place is a no-go. There’s a place here that’s cheaper and waaaay better.”
“Really? Where is it?”
“Hehe. It’s not that far. We went there together, Harin~. Let’s go there, let’s go there.”
“Yeah. I was going to go there anyway.”
At Harin’s answer, Jung Eunju tilted her head. Where was it that the two of them were talking about so excitedly?
Jina was just quietly following behind the three women, looking at them. In the first place, the only thing on her mind right now was the seven-letter phrase, ‘Genius of Sleep, Chun Jinhyun.’
“We’re almost there. We just need to cross the crosswalk.”
Harin and Eunju’s group walked for about 5 minutes.
After finally crossing the crosswalk and standing in front of a building, Minjia said exaggeratedly,
“Tada~, here it is. Cafe Delia! The atmosphere is amazing, and the menu items are really delicious. Especially the financiers are the best. Hehehe. My mouth is already watering.”
At Minjia’s words, Jung Eunju looked at the first and second floors of the building she was pointing at.
It was definitely a huge cafe.
It seemed to be doing very well, as there were quite a lot of people inside that could be seen through the glass windows.
But wait, Cafe Delia?
Jung Eunju suddenly pulled out her wallet, a thought flashing through her mind like lightning.
Then, she looked at the business card that her cousin Chun Jinhyun had given her in Boston.
The business card had Jinhyun’s name, his phone number, and the address of the cafe.
‘Come to think of it, wasn’t the name of the woman who came to Boston with Jinhyun Delia?’
She was such a beautiful woman that she had remembered her name until now.
But the name of this place was Cafe Delia?
Eunju asked Minjia next to her to confirm.
“Jia, isn’t the address on this business card this cafe?”
