Chapter 31 – The Price. ( 3 )
The next morning, Cashew’s steps toward the academy were sluggish.
The events of the morning still lingered in my mind.
“Cashew, do I really have to go to school? It’s scary… You’ll be expelled anyway. Can’t we just live here for the rest of our lives?”
Even though he knew that it was unreasonable and absurd, Efri made the request.
When Cashew Nut heard that, he said nothing. She still convinced her that she couldn’t leave. If I don’t go now, the relationship with my parents that has deteriorated will be over.
She said so, but cashews were all concerned, so she eventually handed the ring she was wearing to Effrie and left.
Thanks to that, she went through all her hardships, such as covering her face on the way to school in the beginning and hiding around, but she could endure it for Efri’s sake.
But her troubles were not limited to that. Coming out to the street, another hardship awaited.
“He must be cashew nuts, right?”
“Hey, are you crazy? You are a princess. Raise your voice.”
“Anyway, that person is now… Are you the victim of that incident?”
There had been several occasions when she had walked the streets without her ring on, but only politely passed by those who recognized her.
But now it was different. Along with those people, students in uniforms from Drexar Academy chatted at cashew nuts.
From officially known information to chirashi whose source can be known, facts and untruths entered the ears of cashew nuts one after another.
Still, all her talk about herself was tolerable.
What I really couldn’t stand was the talk about Efri’s future and the slander against Efri.
“Efri, will he be expelled?”
“The disciplinary committee hasn’t been held yet, but don’t you think it will? No matter how unrequited love she is, the other person is a princess.”
“And she’s not going to go to the discipline room before going to the disciplinary committee.”
“I should have been beaten until the real blood burst… Ugh, I hate to think about it.”
“To be honest, it’s cheap even if it fits like that. A bitch like that pervert pretending to be normal and clinging to us?”
“That’s right. Absolutely creepy.”
Watching the two female students in front of him chewing on Efri, the cashew suppressed his simmering anger. They’re kids who don’t know anything. Hearing this now is karma after all.
She lowered her head, unable to hide her emotions. She looked at the ground and walked towards the school.
“Cashew nuts?”
However, a familiar voice and tone came from behind. She weakly turned her head to see Dia, her silver hair swaying, looking at the cashew nuts.
“Diamond?”
“Yes, Dia. It looks like you have too little strength in your back.”
“How did you know it was me just by looking at my back?”
“If you’re the president of a meeting that follows Cashewnut-sama, that’s the basics.”
After saying that, the diamond immediately stuck to the side of the cashew nut.
“Are you feeling well?”
“… Yes I’m fine.”
As expected, the story began, and Cashew closed her eyes and began her performance.
In fact, she didn’t even have to act. She couldn’t tell herself now because she was in so much pain. However, the source of the suffering was in a completely different direction.
Maybe it was because the expression was a facial expression, so Dia seemed to have been completely deceived.
And being deceived itself became a problem.
“To do such a thing to a close friend… Seriously, I can’t forgive you.”
“… That’s right.”
“How can that be? If you like it, you like it, did you confess like that? It’s really vulgar and disgusting to think irresponsibly, leaving out the middle process.”
“… “
At the increasingly intensifying gossip about Efri, Cashew gnashed his teeth and lowered his head so that his expression could not be seen. It was comforting, and the reality of handing out such words with a good heart was so sad.
For a long time, Dia continued her consolation mixed with criticism. Both logically and emotionally. She had no words to say because it was the emotion she would have felt if it had been ‘a cashew nut raped by her friend who was a normal person’.
“So, Mr. Cashew, I hope you can cheer up. Forgot those years… Mr. Cashew?”
Dia, who continued to speak with full of passion, finally saw the face of cashew nuts revealed.
Tears welled up in Cashew’s eyes.
The swollen water ran down her eyes, down her cheeks, and down her jawline. The hot lump on the tip of her chin shed one more tear towards the ground.
Unable to catch her breath, Cashew said with full of her longing.
“Please, stop… Please… “
Cashew, who showed her shy appearance, hurriedly ran to the front of the school. Dia didn’t even think of following her, just staring at her cashew nuts disappearing far away from her.
“I don’t know what it is, but I’m sorry… “
Out of her mouth, the words she hadn’t been able to comprehend flowed.
= = = = = = = = = =
Cashew has been lying face down ever since she went to school. Even when her class started, when it was break time and the bustle came, she didn’t seem to want to move anymore.
As she looked at the completely ruined cashew nuts, Dia thought.
‘I can’t forgive you, never.’
From the tears I saw on the way to school to that look now. No matter how she looked at it, she seemed quite hurt by Efri.
She hadn’t liked it since she waggled her tail as she bet on cashews. She didn’t like that she dared to win cashew nuts, and she didn’t like that she hung out with her after that. She also didn’t like sharing some of her carefully prepared gifts.
Still, she persevered until then.
Anyway, the choice is up to cashew nuts. Even if she joins forces with her fan club members and gives various gifts or small help, she continues her efforts to become friendly with cashew nuts during the already insufficient time, she believes that cashew nuts are F. If it was better, she was helpless. She respected the choice even though she stiffened her expression because she did.
However, the result was this.
Dia turned her burning red eyes to Efri. What was that bitch Eph Lee doing well? She was lying on her desk in the same position as a cashew nut.
She couldn’t control the bubbling emotions. She wanted to do something.
Dia, as she always does, began to think of a ‘gift’ for the cashew nuts in her mind.
‘First of all, I need to infer cashew nut-sama’s exact feelings.’
I decided to start with those tears on the way to school, which were a bit strange.
Although the accusations were mixed because of her personal feelings for Efri, what she did was clear comfort. As she watched Cashew Nut, during their actions, she picked out the part where Cashew Nut might have hurt her, and she offered comfort for that part.
However, upon hearing her words, Cashews shed tears. She did not shed it because she was moved by the consolation. Clearly, those tears were painful enough to make the viewer’s heart throb.
If so, cashew nuts must be thinking this way.
‘Please, I don’t want to remember that, so stop.’
I don’t even want to think about it, so don’t even mention that bitch.
It was clear that cashews hated Efri more than she thought. Then it seemed right that she should focus on relieving cashews’ hatred.
Dia recalled how normal people react when they hate someone.
It varies from person to person, but there is an intersection. I want to take revenge on that person, at least a little counterattack. There are people who forgive neatly, but Cashew Nut’s reaction didn’t seem to be that way.
So, it seemed right for her to be prepared to get some revenge on Efri.
After deciding on a rough direction, DIA took out her cell phone and entered the ‘Cashew Nut Fan Club’ group chat room. He immediately posted a message.
– How about we, Mr. Cashew, prepare to take a little revenge on Efri?
The numbers next to the chat disappeared one by one. It means you saw the message.
A series of replies came soon after.
– Good?
– It seems fine.
– To be honest, I crossed the line on this one.
The story of the revenge that Diamond set on fire started to flare up in the chat room.
A number of opinions, large and small, came up. There were friends who said they were a little concerned, and there were friends who said in a strong tone that cashew nuts should be properly supplemented this time.
Among them, the one who expressed the strongest opinion was the fan club’s action leader, ‘Elena Ogardo’.
– Why don’t you tie it up to the bathroom and let the princess harass you?
Elena, who is usually known for being radical, presented her own radical opinion this time as well.
‘This is a start again.’
She didn’t say much because she liked her acting ability, but Dia didn’t like Elena very much. This is because it is so rough, and everything presented is excessive, so it was filtered out in the first line.
So, Dia thought that he would be buried silently this time, and he tried to pass the chat lightly.
But I guess it wasn’t this time.
– Normally, I would oppose it, but since the case is the case, I agree.
– I agree, but it’s still the censorship period?
– There’s an abandoned toilet in the corner of the promenade over there.
– Was there such a place?
– ㅇㅇ To be honest, even the teachers don’t seem to know about it haha
The students, who turned their favor for cashew nuts into hatred for Efri, turned her tongue into a knife and devised a cruel plan to destroy Efri.
Seeing that, Dia sensed that something was seriously wrong with him.
Of course, Dia herself hated Efri. He could bet he was more than his other friends. Even if she died, she could not forgive Efri for irresponsibly taking the cashew nuts she had a crush on.
I didn’t mean to bully you in this way. The worst thing I thought of was to drag Efri as a group to make a public apology to Cashew Nuts. It was just like this.
But collective intelligence was a monster. Thoughts that had been about a small revenge grew to an unbelievable level.
Dia was worried.
Should I apply the brakes, should I let go of the steering wheel and let this plan run its course?
Eventually, Dia turned off his cell phone screen. And then I thought Anyway, Epri is a being who needs to be punished. He’s a smart student at Drexar Academy, so he’ll have enough control, he believed.
Of course, he couldn’t help but feel uneasiness as he thought about it.
