Chapter 42 – 41. The Princess From the Mainland
[Private Class Crurouge Szak. The 11th District Army Regional Important Case 1075 Highness Clovis Regarding the murder suspect is released due to insufficient evidence.]
Suzaku was depressed. When he was first identified as a suspect, he made a fuss by hitting the press like that, but by the time he turned himself in after the zero incident, his interest in Krugi Szak disappeared like a lie. After being acquitted in an empty courtroom, Suzaku had a bitter taste. In the end, everything was just a show.
The important point is that there can be no such thing as being released by now. Assuming that closing the case takes time, it could have taken a year or two. Since there were only suspicions about this part, Suzaku couldn’t make a hasty decision.
‘Why on earth?’
Suzaku, an honorary Britannian, was able to go anywhere in his concession, unlike the Eleven who could only go around the business district and the academy district. He had the hassle of having to take responsibility for the damage and disputes caused by his travels, but if he went around quietly as if a rat died, it was possible to go around enough in broad daylight.
A slender woman screamed on top of Suzaku, who was returning to her lodgings near the governor’s residence where the judges were.
“Move away! It’s dangerous!”
“Huh?”
Suzaku looked up at the sudden sound. All she sees right away are her slender legs, her skirt about to spread out in the falling wind, and a pink-haired woman jumping, pressing her skirt down with both hands to somehow keep her insides invisible.
“Eek!”
Surprised, Suzaku quickly guessed the direction the woman was falling and reached out her hands. She is exactly the woman who falls into Suzaku’s arms. Suzaku stared blankly at the girl who was lucky enough to receive it. She would have been in big trouble if he said that he didn’t deserve it and that he fell for it. Then, the woman in her own arms carefully raised her head and looked at her Suzaku. She asked Suzaku.
“Um… Are you hurt?”
“I’m sorry… I didn’t think there would be people below…”
Her parted bangs came down to half of her face in a wavy state. Her hair, which was braided on either side of her and curled up, looked like a fluffy sheep. The rest of her hair was brushed down, the longest it had ever been to a woman Suzaku had ever met. Long hair that goes down halfway between her waist and hips. Her delicate features were beautiful. Her large eyes looked benevolent, with the corners of her eyes well set.
A woman who suddenly falls from above. Suzaku laughed when he thought that she had gone through all the oddities of her life.
“No. Me too, I didn’t expect a woman to suddenly fall from above.”
“What?”
“? Something wrong?”
Suzaku asked at the woman’s reaction as if she was looking at something strange. She didn’t answer the woman and it seemed like she was thinking a little differently. The woman who thought for a moment answered with a broad smile.
“Yes! We have a problem!”
“Yes?”
“I’m actually being chased by a villain… So why don’t you save me?”
Suzaku looked up at the woman’s words. The window of the three-story high room was open, and the cloth tied like a string fluttered through the window. I don’t know if it’s a curtain or a duvet, but I think I jumped down while riding on it.
I think this woman ran away.
Suzaku thought so. It was because the attitude of the person who said he was being chased was that he was having too much fun.
ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ
“I can’t let that ‘Orange’ conduct Her Majesty Cornelia’s inauguration.”
“At this rate, the loyalty of our pureblood faction might be questioned.”
In the dark secret room, the image of Jeremiah commanding the army was reflected on the monitor on one side of the wall. The people he was talking about were pure-blooded people who had followed Jeremiah. Quel and Biretta were also seated, but the circumstances of the two were different. Quel’s attitude was that he would bring down Jeremiah, and Biretta was silently thinking about what Jeremiah had said.
“Really? Sir Jeremiah is a bribe…”
“Then what is an orange?”
People who still wanted to believe in Jeremiah’s innocence asked Quel as if they were worried, but Quel was cold. At the question of Orange, those who wanted to prove Jeremiah’s innocence also shut up.
Quel continued to open her mouth while watching that.
“Anyway, it is true that there is a fact that Sir Jeremiah was hiding. He said he couldn’t remember anything, the same excuse as General Bartre, whom he despised so much…”
“…”
Everyone else kept their mouths shut. There is nothing left to say. Biretta was one step away and she was watching them. There were obviously several suspicious points in Jeremiah’s sudden strange behavior.
‘Sir Jeremiah also shows confusion of memories. It’s the same as those who took away Sutherland in Shinjuku. And…’
Biretta thought. When she was robbed of Sutherland from an unnamed warehouse in Shinjuku, she had no recollection even then. The only thing I remember is the dark-haired boy I saw in the warehouse for a very short time.
‘Hmm.’
For Biretta, she tried to think only that far. Because when she thinks of that time anymore, she will also remember her memories of ‘that bastard’.
ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ
The woman and Suzaku walked together. Suzaku’s prediction was correct. The person who said he was being chased walked leisurely, following Suzaku’s stride as Suzaku walked slowly. It was like a tourist looking at the surrounding scenery.
“Is it late to introduce yourself? I…”
The woman who had said this far thought about it for a while before opening her mouth again.
“Yuppie!”
“Yuppie?”
“Yes.”
“I am…”
“No.”
When Suzaku heard Yuffie’s introduction and was about to introduce himself, Yuffie stopped Suzaku from introducing himself. As he stopped walking while walking, Suzaku turned around and saw Yuffie standing still.
“Because you’re a celebrity. The son of Prime Minister Genbu Crurugi? Private First Class Crurugi Szak!”
Looking at Yuffie, who knew and told him his exact identity, Cruroogi Szak didn’t bother to deny or correct it. Instead, he turned around and looked elsewhere, asking other facts.
“You’re lying? That you were being chased by a villain.”
…
…
…
Why no answer
He asked, but when he heard no answer, Suzaku looked back at Yuffie. Yufi wasn’t there. Where are you? Looking around, I saw Yuffie, distracted by the black stray cat, squatting in front of it and extending her hand to it.
Originally an animal-friendly person, the cat sniffed Yuffie when she held out her hand, and then began to rub her head against Yuffie’s hand.
Yuffie was laughing as if she was having fun.
“…”
Even Suzaku, who knew that Yuffie was lying, couldn’t help but smile at the peaceful sight he was seeing. He walked quietly and approached Yuffie, and Yuffie lifted up the black cat, which had already entrusted his entire body, and held it out to Suzaku.
“…”
Suzaku also reached out to the black cat. Seeing what he did to Yuffie, he looked like a cat that had been held in human hands. I knew it was a cat without an owner because it didn’t have a collar, but abandoned animals are everywhere.
But I didn’t know that the cat would terribly bite Suzaku as soon as he reached out.
Surprised, Yuffie let out an exclamation.
“Ugh!”
“Oh…”
ㅡㅡㅡㅡ
A large truck moved slowly down the street and stopped. Earl Lloyd of the Special Dispatch Direction Technology Department, who was driving the truck, smiled at Cecil sitting in the passenger seat.
“It’s too late. I’d be glad if you were waiting for me.”
Upon hearing this, Cecile asked with an expectant expression.
“Are you really released?”
“Because there is insufficient evidence. Well, it seems that Zero’s case has been heavily investigated.”
Earl Lloyd, who had talked so far, looked out the window at the street and saw two people familiar with him walking together. I was happy because one was on my way to pick it up, but the other wasn’t. Couldn’t he be here?
“Eh. Why…”
ㅡㅡㅡㅡ
Yuffie stopped by her convenience store with Suzik to pick out various items. Most of them were bandages for the cat’s food that came along, and for Suzaku, who was bitten on the hand by the cat.
Yuffie put a bandage on Suzaku’s finger with her thin and pretty finger.
“Do you hate cats?”
“I like it, but…”
Suzaku answered and reached out to the black cat who was sitting between the two of them while grooming themselves. As soon as the grooming cat saw Suzaku’s hand, it began to hiss. Suzaku quickly retrieved his hand.
“It seems like unrequited love.”
Hearing Suzaku’s words, Yuffie smiled brightly.
“Unrequited love is for kind people. Ahh?”
While trying to continue the conversation, the cat, who was in the middle of grooming, suddenly ran out. Yuffie just looked at the cat running away. She didn’t try to catch up with her, but with round eyes she smiled.
“He’s gone.”
“Yuppie.”
Yuffie didn’t seem too sad about parting with the cat. Suzaku asked Yuffie.
“Why did you lie like that just now?”
Yuffie tilted her head at the sudden question.
“Are you concerned about me?”
“To be honest. Yes.”
“Then hang out with me more!”
Laughing brightly, Yuffie got up from her seat and grabbed Suzaku’s arm and dragged her. What about Suzaku who thought he would get a proper answer this time? She panics and she is dragged away by Yufi.
On that road, Suzaku and Yuffie went around most of the commercial district. Yuffie naturally walked with Suzaku and talked to him about various things. Suzaku also gradually opened up to Yuffie and shared his story.
Yuffie said that she came from mainland Britannia, and that she was a student before she came to Area 11. She said that today was her last day off, so she wanted to go around a lot. Fortunately, she was lucky that the first person she met was Suzaku. In this way, Suzaku wandered around the Tokyo concession, guiding Yuffie. After most of the sightseeing ended, Yuffie asked.
“Mr. Suzaku. Can you show me one last place?”
Suzaku, who had already opened his heart to Yuffie while hanging out with her, smiled happily and bowed her back.
“Please tell me anything! Princess?”
I called her princess for a prank. It was because I wanted to see Yuffie flustered. However, the place Yuffie requested took away Suzaku’s laughter for a moment.
“Then Shinjuku.”
“Huh?”
“Show me Shinjuku, Mr. Crurugi Suzaku.”
Looking up at her, Yuffie’s face had an expression of determination.
