Chapter 310 – Abduction.
“Ah. Fuck.”
Speaky trudged along while getting sick. It is a trail leading to downtown Narvik Harbor. Seven colorful children were laughing as they circled around Speaky. Two of them were held by Speaky, Delia and Sophie. Delia was held and Sophie was riding her wooden horse.
Unlike Woo-jin, Speaky is the captain of a fishing boat and has a stocky physique, but he is a normal person. It was natural that it would be difficult with two 5-year-olds hanging on to the body.
“Mister! Are you going to buy me something delicious when I go downtown?”
“What do you want to eat?”
Speaky was tough, but he couldn’t bully the kids. Because it hurts even more when I cry. I just thought I died today and decided that it would be better to adapt to the children as much as possible. He aimed to make the children exhausted by playing with as much effort as possible and then return quickly.
[Wouldn’t it be dangerous to go to the port only for children?]
[From here? This is where all the members of the Sword Breaker have settled down.]
The conversation with Woojin came to mind. Speaky was dumbfounded at the words of Woojin, who told him that the sword breaker who settled in Narvik Harbor would be living a normal life, making a living in various parts of Narvik Harbor, but in the end he couldn’t avoid having to take his children for a walk.
“Maria, you haven’t said anything all day. Didn’t you like going out for a walk?”
Speaky asked while looking at Maria, who hadn’t said anything since before and just walked quietly beside him. A child with green hair. Her wife also had a mysterious atmosphere. Speaky remembered that she had a strange feeling because she looked at her like a child, and thought that Maria, her daughter, had a similar atmosphere to her mother.
“You have to act like an adult.”
“Huh? What do you mean by that?”
Speaky was taken aback by Maria’s muttering. Speaky is condescending and has a lot of anger, but I was thinking that it would be good for a child to grow up like a child. The story that a child who is only 5 years old is showing such a calm appearance in order to act like an adult was a story that Speaky did not like.
He wasn’t a child with a basic disposition like Andrew or Delia. Maria had the feeling that she was forcibly suppressing her childish instincts, while perhaps she was full of her heart to run and play.
“Maria only acts like a child when she’s with her dad and her mom.”
“Sophie!”
Sophie, riding on Speaky’s neck, whispered to Speaky. Maria didn’t want to tell Speaky about it, but she screamed as she looked at Sophie. Sophie stuck out her tongue as she looked at Mary.
Before long, Sophie and Maria started bickering. Spike was embarrassed. Besides, he was starting to get tired. Milo, Naoto, and Miko kept spinning around and eating away at Speaky’s mental power. It might have exploded if it hadn’t been for decent kids like Delia and Andrew.
After walking for a while, it was possible to arrive at Narvik Port. When we came out to the city and the streets lined with street vendors, the children began to scatter and run to and fro, cheering. Spike was taken aback. Although the port of Narvik is a small port, it is a trading port that skillfully transports coal. There were quite a few people, and the port itself was wide. No matter how small it was, it was impossible for Speaky to find the children alone.
“Wait! These Shikis!”
“It’s okay. I’ll play on my own and come over here around 4 o’clock?”
Said Sophie, who was riding the wooden horse. It takes about 30 minutes to get from Narvik Port to Ugin’s house. The children also know that much, and since the horse is for a walk, the children themselves have been surprised to come this far on their own. The port of Narvik is a sword breaker, Sophie said, because her uncles and aunts were holding tight, no one knew them, and if they didn’t come in by 5 o’clock, they would catch a flight, so they would arrive here at 4 o’clock.
When Speaky heard that, he was enticed. It’s okay to play with children. Playing with as many as 7 children is a difficult task for myself, now over 50. Rather, it was more comfortable to get on a boat and work as a fisherman. Because at that time, all you had to do was scream.
“Are there any children around the same age as you?”
“Yeah! Hey! We won them all!”
“…”
Win? What?
Spike is dumbfounded. That’s what Sophie said. The members of the Sword Breakers who live here, and their children are also Sophie’s friends. Most of them said that there were children who could play because they were younger than Sophie, and there were children who could not. Apart from that, there were also children from the original residents of Narvik Harbor, many of whom were older than Sophie.
They started arguing with Sophie, and eventually got into a fight with Sophie’s gang. Speaky heard that far and opened his mouth. I wonder if Woo-jin really knows about this. Because Sophie was a child who had just turned 5 years old.
“Naoto is the strongest! Milo is strong too! All the older brothers who are about 7 years old have won!”
Sophie exclaimed triumphantly. Children over seven years old play with Sophie and older, so it seems that there has never been a fight with such a big bump.
Besides, since there are uncles of sword breakers, most of the children who touch them have disappeared now.
“So? You’re saying you’re alley bosses now?”
“There’s a captain among us!”
At Sophie’s words, Speaky pondered. Indeed, who among them is the leader? Sophie? Since Sophie talked about it, Sophie could be the captain. Sophie’s mother is the Princess of Britannia. Among Woo-jin’s wives, she was the highest-ranking woman. Or Naoto? In Naoto’s case, it is clear that he has a talent for fighting, given his bloodline itself is enormous. Children are originally divided into ranks in the order of fighting. Is Naoto the alley boss? He couldn’t miss out on Milo either. Because that bastard’s lack of quirks was a quirk that didn’t make sense unless he was the head of the alley. Someday, there will definitely be times when adults taste spicy.
“Mister. I rest.”
“What?”
At that time, Delia, who was in the arms of the gentle Speaky, lifted her head and looked at Speaky, she said. Spike was frightened. She says the girl needs a break. This situation was not foreseen. Maybe there is a public toilet somewhere here. Taking Maria, Andrew, Sophie and Delia, Speaky hurriedly headed to a nearby barbecue restaurant. The woman grilling her skewers smiled broadly at Sophie.
“Sophie! Welcome? Would you like some skewers?”
“Huh!”
“More than that! Bathroom! This kid needs to pee here!”
Speaky amicably interrupted Sophie’s conversation with the woman who was talking to her, and left Delia in the care of the woman, scrambling like it was a real big deal. The woman opened her eyes wide and stared at her speaky as she received Delia. Spike exclaimed in a desperate tone.
“Please! I’m not the father of these kids! Can’t I even help the girl pee!?”
“Ah. That’s right. I’m waiting here for now.”
The woman nodded at Speaky’s request, left her iron plate and went inside. Cuddled by her woman, Delia waved her hand as she watched Speaky over her shoulder with her bright eyes. It seemed like he meant to go.
Spike sighed. Then I remembered something and saw Sophie and Maria.
“If you guys need a break too, pack it while you’re here and come.”
“To come to a lady with a shirt on. You’re really insensitive, mister!”
“Ah! Don’t pull the hair!”
Sophie pulled Speaky’s hair at Speaky’s words. He seemed grumpy. Maria blushed a little, but her dodo ran into her, following Delia, who had gone inside her. Spike lamented. Maybe it’s because they came from the crazy guys, so they were much more hands-on than other kids. It was the first time we went for a walk together, but I didn’t want to go again.
“Is Sophie okay?”
“Yeah. I’m fine! And if it really bothers me, I’ll tell you and go alone!”
“Yes. Ehh…”
She felt 10 years old because she was less than an hour old. I couldn’t understand how Woojin was laughing so hard. If he had to live with these children, he probably would have died exhausted within a month.
After waiting for a while, I saw Delia and Maria holding hands and walking out together. The woman who was selling her skewers also went back to her seat and grilled her skewers. Speaky greeted the woman.
“Thank you. I was flustered since there were only girls. I’ll buy you some skewers in return. Just give me five.”
“Thank you! Are you going to feed Sophie’s?”
“Yes?”
The woman skillfully wrapped five of her skewers and she handed them to Speaky. She even gave a word of encouragement.
“Looks like soldiers are here right now. It won’t cause much trouble, but it might be good to go home after playing with the kids for a bit.”
“Soldiers? Hmm. Don’t you know where the soldiers are?”
“I’m not sure about that either. It’s definitely not the Japanese military. But I’m not sure if it’s the European Union or Britannia.”
Speaky nodded at the woman’s words. Because it wasn’t bad information to know. Still, he didn’t have to pay much attention. Now it’s 2 o’clock, I play for about 2 more hours, and when I go home, my work for today is over.
“Let’s eat skewers.”
Saying so, Speaky handed out skewers to the children one by one. Sophie, Maria, Andrew and Delia smiled brightly and ate each skewer with their small hands.
Originally, it would have been a scene that made Dad smile by itself just by looking at it, but in Speaky’s eyes, it looked like anglers eating flesh.
