Chapter 3 – Episode 3 Write Down What You Did Wrong
“Okay then, 6 hours. Write down what you did wrong during those 6 hours.”
Dohyeong handed over the pen to Jia and walked out the door.
Jia just stared blankly at the paper with a ballpoint pen in her hand. She couldn’t believe what was happening to her right now.
Then the door opened again and Dohyeong came in.
“Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention it…”
The face of Do-hyeong, who was walking with great strides, came closer to Jia’s face.
And then he opened his mouth with a very creepy smile.
“I know that if I don’t use it properly, I’ll get hit like before. That’s right… If I use my generosity and fill in at least 20, I’ll skip the beating.”
Do-hyeong slapped Jia’s cheek again, as if to remind her of the pain.
“Kayak!”
Ji-ah was hit by Do-hyeong’s palm, causing her to lose her balance and almost fall to her side, but was stopped in the air by the iron necklace hanging around her neck.
“Then I’m going~. I hope you do your best! I’ll cheer you on~.”
Watching Dohyeong go out her door, Jia leaned over her table in front of her and grabbed her pen.
‘Fuck… 20? ‘I have to use 20 to get it right?’
Jia is not stupid either, so she knew what Dohyeong was telling her to write.
She probably knows that she threw away her paper to write down something that bothered her in the past. Jia tried to recall her memories from 10 years ago as much as she could.
“Fuck… I don’t remember…”
However, since it was a memory that had passed quite some time, all that came to her mind were vague memories.
Jia wrote down everything that came to mind, step by step.
1. Stealing money
2. Run errands
3. Violence
4. Disparagement of appearance and sexuality
5. Bullying the whole school
6. Feed mixed leftover food
7. Threatening to not tell adults
8. Prevent yourself from sleeping for days
9. Filming naked in the classroom
‘Fuck… I can’t think of any more…’
She was racking her brain trying to figure out how to get at least 20, but she couldn’t think of more than 9.
‘What else was there? Fuck…’
Jia’s head was gradually filled with resentment towards others as she racked her brain.
‘But honestly, Taehyun and Eunji were the ones who led the bullying of that guy! Of all the things written here, I probably didn’t do much… Why did I have to go through this!!’
Jia felt aggrieved in her heart. This is because she thought that she did not bother Do-hyeong like that.
Of course, that is just a thought that is close to Jia’s self-justification.
‘Of course, there were times when I hit him a few times or made him run errands… But it was Taehyun who was the worst, not me!’
Since there was no clock in her room and she could not tell how much time had passed, Jia became even more anxious. No matter how much she thought about it, she could only write one or two more things.
Gia couldn’t think of anything more than the list of 11 she had written on the paper in front of her.
Jia tried to write something down, thinking that if she didn’t get to 20 quickly, she might get beaten like before. She then wrote down as many incidents that might occur in a school violence incident and filled in 20.
And as time passed, Dohyeong opened the door and came into the room.
“Now then, shall we check how well I wrote it?”
Dohyeong slowly walked over and extended his hand to Jia. Jia felt anxious and handed over her paper to her brother.
“Hmm… Are you sure you really used up all of this?”
“Uh, huh? Ma… That’s right! I filled in all 20 mistakes I made. How do you feel?”
Dohyeong slowly read the 20 mistakes written by Jia.
And then he tore the paper in half in front of Jia. Ji-Ah’s anxiety grew more and more due to Do-Hyeong’s actions.
‘Fuck… Isn’t that going to work?’
It was Jia who thought of the figure who must have been angry about something like school violence and filled it with something similar as much as possible. But for Dohyeong, it was an impossible task.
“Did you just say this? What if you don’t know your mistake… You fucking bitch!”
“I’m sorry… It’s been so long that I don’t remember… I’m really sorry!”
Jia, who was scared because she didn’t know how Dohyeong would react, apologized to Dohyeong, offering her both hands. Without knowing that such an appearance would have no effect on Dohyeong.
“That’s none of my business. I remember it vividly, right? You said you could write down only 20 things, but you couldn’t fill even one of them. Would it make sense for me to forgive you? Wouldn’t it be okay?”
After saying that, Dohyeong turned around behind her and walked to the closed door on her left. When Dohyeong opened the door, there were a lot of various tools inside.
Among them, what Dohyeong took out was a thin, black whip.
“Now, out of the things you wrote, I can acknowledge about 11 of them. There’s nothing else I can acknowledge, right? So, let’s just get 9 hits.”
Dohyeong walked slowly towards Jia and slammed her whip in the air.
Wow!
Then the sound of a whip hitting the air echoed throughout the room.
With that, Jia’s thoughts turned blue as she imagined she would be hit.
“You’re hitting me with that? Please, Dohyung… I was really wrong. Please!!”
Seeing the cane that looked so painful, Jia begged Dohyeong even more.
“If you’re loud, stand up and roll up your calves. I’m going to hit you there.”
“Please… Dohyung…”
Despite Do-hyeong’s words, Jia even shed tears and begged. But to her Do-hyeong, Jia’s tears felt rather repulsive.
“Hehe… I can’t help it.”
Dohyeong sighed and kicked the table away.
“Aaaaah!”
At the same time that Jia cried out in surprise at her Dohyeong’s actions, the chain attached to her necklace was released and Dohyeong grabbed Jia’s hand and lifted it up.
Even though Jia was an idol, her weight was not that light, but Dohyeong lifted her with one hand so easily.
She suddenly lifted herself up and Gia struggled to get away, but to no avail.
After turning Jia around so that her back was visible, Dohyeong fastened the chain between the iron shackles to a latch hanging on the wall.
Gia could barely stand with her feet on the ground, but her hands were locked in her clasps, leaving her with her back turned and unable to move. She just moves her legs around because she doesn’t want to get hit in the calf.
Even then, her legs were fixed by tying both ankles to the new iron shackles that Do-hyeong had brought.
“Well, originally I was going to get 9 hits, but since you resisted, let’s just get 10 hits.”
Slap!
As soon as Do-hyeong finished speaking, a cane flew at Jia’s calf.
“Aaaaah!”
Jia could not help but scream as she felt pain in her calf for the first time.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“Huh… Huh?”
Jia was so scared the moment she saw her figure glaring at her with a stern expression, leaving behind the stinging sensation coming from her calf.
“If you get hit, you have to write down the number so I don’t forget it, right? And if you’re really sorry, shouldn’t you apologize every time you get hit?”
“Oh, okay! I’m sorry! I was wrong!”
Jia couldn’t keep up with what Dohyeong was talking about, but she nodded frantically at the pain she felt in her calf right away.
“Then that’s it. Now, here we go again.”
Slap!
“Ahh! Two! I’m so sorry!”
Dohyung’s arm, which was trying to continue hitting him, stopped at Jia’s words.
“Hey, I told you… We’re going again. Didn’t you hear? We have to start over!”
Slap!
“Ugh! Hana! I’m sorry!”
“Hehe… Is that really an apology? Please apologize more sincerely!”
Slap!
“Ahh! You two! I’m so sorry for bullying you in high school!”
Jia was so hurt that tears flowed from her eyes. The tears she showed to Do-hyung before she was hit earlier were fake tears that came from her acting skills so far, but now they were tears that came from pure 100% pain.
Jia had never been beaten before since she was born, so the pain from her whipping was beyond imagination.
We’re just about to turn 8.
“Ugh! Dohyung, I’m so sorry… It hurts so much… Ugh! I was wrong! Please look at me just once, please…”
“You guys are so amazing. You’ve never smiled and listened to me when I asked for something like that. But why should I listen to your request?”
“I, I will apologize for everything. Do you need money? I will give you money. I made a lot of money. Really! I will give you as much as you want, so please stop…”
Dohyeong’s heart was filled with joy as he looked at Jia pleading.
Isn’t the being who had been viciously tormenting him until now begging him to save his life?
But Dohyeong had no intention of ending it here.
“Okay, so you can do whatever I tell you?”
“Huh? Uh, yes! I’ll do whatever I tell you!”
When Do-hyeong spoke in an atmosphere that did not seem to hit her, Jia quickly responded. She didn’t have the confidence to endure if Dohyeong changed his mind and started hitting her again.
Because she felt like if she was hit again and the count was reset, she would go crazy.
“If you say that, I, who have a big heart, should do you a favor.”
Dohyeong released the iron shackles that bound his legs and the shackle that was fastened to the wall.
Jia quickly turned her body around with her back against the wall. Because she was worried that he might hit her calf again.
“Oh, by the way, I won’t hit you. Unlike you, I always keep my promises. Then, please sit down again.”
After hearing Do-hyeong’s words, Jia sat down. Then Doheung reattached the chain of his necklace.
He then picked up the table he had put aside and placed it in front of Jia, putting a wad of paper and a ballpoint pen on it. Jia, who did not understand the meaning of Do-hyeong’s actions, looked up at him with a blank expression.
“What are you doing, grab a pen?”
For now, Jia did as Dohyeong told her.
“Okay, now write down what I say on paper. Surely you can’t do this? You said you would do as I tell you.”
Jia felt like something was going wrong, but she couldn’t say a word to Dohyeong. It was because she was afraid that if she talked back, she would get hit with the cane again.
“Now, call me. First, I, Ji-ah Lee, swear to obey everything Kim Do-hyung says from this moment on. Write it down.”
Jia, startled by Do-hyeong’s words, turned her head to Do-hyeong without realizing it.
Dohyung looked at Jia, who was looking at him with a surprised expression, and smiled.
“What are you doing, write it down?”
