## Chapter 21 – Power
Sbak. Sbak.
I take a step.
The sand screams as it’s crushed under my shoes.
The sbak-sbak sound right now is my footsteps, the sound made in response to my steps.
But the footsteps weren’t alone.
Ttong. Ttong.
Another set of footsteps followed behind me.
Very secretive and cautious movements. They were definitely trailing right behind me.
I stopped in my tracks and turned around.
Sasasak.
With a flutter of purple waves, two creatures disappeared behind a tree.
“…….”
I narrowed my eyes, watching the twins peek their heads out from either side of the tree trunk.
‘What’s this? I gave them the ball, so why are they following me? They should be completely absorbed in that thing for at least today.’
Strange.
Something feels off.
The moment I felt that, the twins suddenly threw the beach ball onto the beach and ran out.

‘Am I just… imagining things?’
I tilted my head, watching the twins frolic on the sand, then started walking back towards where the rest of the class was.

Tonight, the homeroom teacher, Kim Yeonjoo, and I were planning to break away from the group and set up our own camp.
To do that, I needed to get Kim Yeonjoo out first.
But Kim Jaejoon said firmly,
“That’s not allowed. One person has to be on standby with the radio at all times.”
“You can just put another flight attendant on, right?”
Lee Minhyuk said with a laugh.
“Apparently, no one else knows how to use it.”

For a moment, I doubted my ears.
The other flight attendants besides Kim Yeonjoo don’t know how to use the radio?
It was absurd.
‘How did they even become flight attendants?’
