Chapter 509 – 509. God’S Atlantis
509. God’s Atlantis
Thud!
It was a bit too painful on the gums to call it a kiss.
Her kiss was unbelievably clumsy, but it wasn’t a shy, childlike kiss. When I naturally stuck out my tongue, Olivia also extended hers.
She basically knew it too. That a kiss meant the intertwining of tongues!
Our soft tongues tangled. Her tongue was somewhat stiff. She held her breath and didn’t exhale during the kiss.
I enjoyed Olivia’s clumsy kiss. I had already used the arousal boost before the kiss.
‘If I actively use my kissing skills and arousal boost, sexually arousing her will be a piece of cake.’
Olivia was a woman with a temper. She was hot-blooded and impulsive. If I sexually aroused her and unleashed her lust, she would be swept away by the atmosphere and have sex with me.
‘The start is from targeting her erogenous zones.’
[Olivia’s Erogenous Zones: Thighs, Waist]
It was hard to touch her thighs right now. But I could subtly touch her waist. It was the moment my hand was heading towards her exposed abs.
“Puhah.”
Olivia pulled away, shaking her glossy orange hair. I lowered my hand before she could see where it was going.
I managed my expression. I smiled contentedly rather than showing disappointment.
“It feels like the kiss ended too quickly.”
“What do you mean quickly?! If I gave you more than 10 seconds, you should be satisfied! Seriously, who would have thought there’d be a guy bold enough to ask me for a kiss.”
Olivia sat down. Despite having her first kiss, she didn’t seem embarrassed. She must not place much significance on kisses.
“Anyway, I kept my promise. If any weird rumors spread, I won’t let it slide, so you better behave. Got it?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t go around blabbing.”
I had done some research on Olivia over the past few days.
Olivia was quite famous in this lawless zone. As a mainland person who had been here since the beginning of Atlantis, she was a natural fighter.
Usually, women in the lawless zone choose to become prostitutes or the lovers of powerful outlaws. Prostitutes are guaranteed safety because there’s an unwritten rule not to touch them, and if a lover is powerful, they can use that power.
But Olivia chose to fight instead of either of those options.
She fought in the back alleys to survive, joined a family to fight… Her life itself was a battle, and her ferocity made even the outlaws shake their heads. Now, no one in the lawless zone looked down on Olivia just because she was a woman.
Those who looked down on her had all become corpses, dumped somewhere in the alleys.
“We’re going to hit the Zerdin Legion. Get ready.”
Olivia said.
“When?”
“In three days. Zerdin is already aware and preparing.”
“They know, and you’re still going ahead?”
“There’s too much at stake to stop now. And even if they know, it won’t change the fact that they’re going to die.”
Olivia’s eyes, as she pressed her fist into her palm, shone like a beast’s. The ferocious aura emanating from her made me tense up without realizing it.
“Seeing that you hired 200 mercenaries, weren’t you aware that something would happen in three days?”
“I didn’t know. The reason I hired mercenaries was to increase my influence in a short period.”
“…Huh?”
Olivia looked at me with incomprehension.
“So, you hired 200 mercenaries for influence? That reason isn’t to kiss me, is it?”
“There’s no other reason to increase influence in a short period.”
To get more AP this month? It didn’t make sense to spend 50 million penny to hire 200 mercenaries.
“Aren’t you just a crazy bastard? If you wanted a kiss that badly, go find a prostitute, you moron.”
“A prostitute and you are different. So, I was wondering if you’d be willing to try it once?”
I asked directly. Maybe she wanted sex too.
“You crazy bastard!”
Olivia threw a desk at me. I had been prepared just in case, so I easily caught the flying desk.
“You’re getting cocky because I’m being nice? Hey, keep it moderate. You and I are nothing. Don’t forget that, and don’t cross the line, you bastard.”
“That’s true now. But you never know what might happen in the future.”
“I don’t know about the future, but for now, if you know that, keep the line.”
She threw a small knife at me in annoyance. The small knife grazed my cheek. My cheek felt a bit hot, it seemed like my skin was cut.
‘Where did she get the knife? It wasn’t on her clothes.’
My vision was partially blocked by the desk, so I didn’t see where she took out that small knife.
I put the desk down.
Olivia’s atmosphere had changed again. Just three seconds ago, she looked like she was going to kill me, but now she was sitting calmly on her chair, looking at me. She was indeed a hot-blooded and fickle woman.
“Hey. Don’t forget that you’ve joined hands with me.”
“Don’t worry about betrayal. I don’t betray women unless I have to. And my goal is to kill Barden, I’m not interested in the hegemony of this area.”
“You don’t betray women unless you have to? You talk like a jerk. And that’s not what I’m talking about. The families that agreed to hit the Zerdin Legion with us in three days. Be careful of those bastards. We’re temporarily united with them, but it’s not an alliance or anything. If things go well, those bastards will 100% turn on us, so be careful.”
“Ah, is that what you meant? Got it.”
“And don’t trust the mercenaries too much. Especially the mercenaries here.”
“I don’t.”
I didn’t think of the mercenaries as a real force from the start. The only one I could trust in this lawless zone was myself.
They were just hired to get a kiss from Olivia.
‘Come to think of it, 50 million penny… is that a 500 million won kiss?’
Not bad.
Even pretty women have different values. In my eyes, Olivia was worth more than 500 million won.
‘If it wasn’t for the bet, Olivia wouldn’t have given me a kiss even if I gave her 100 million penny.’
•••
The day of the decisive battle arrived.
I stood next to Olivia’s family with 200 mercenaries. Olivia’s family was an organization of about 100 people. It was smaller than other well-known families gathered here. But in terms of individual quality, Olivia’s family was superior.
Others knew that too. That’s why they didn’t ignore Olivia’s family.
We headed to the center of the lawless zone, where the Zerdin Legion was located.
The streets were desolate.
The shops that openly ripped off customers were all closed. They cautiously peeked outside through the gaps in the windows.
The scent of powder from the prostitutes who used to seduce men in revealing clothes was also gone.
The entire lawless zone knew what day it was.
“You know the exact location of Barden, right?”
I asked Olivia, who was walking next to me. She was wearing sturdy boots, leggings that clung to her lower body, and a tank top that exposed her abs and armpits. She didn’t look like she was in combat gear, and she didn’t have any weapons in her hands.
“They say he’s in the east. Which is where we’re going. Ah, damn it. Finally, I’m going to take that bastard down. Hehe.”
Olivia laughed like a beast. It was a tough smile that didn’t feel feminine at all. But because she was a beauty, it looked like a charming smile to me.
The plan that the families of the lawless zone had made was simple.
East, west, south, and north.
The families would attack the Zerdin Legion in the center from four directions.
Overwhelm the qualitative difference with numbers.
Anyone could see that the family alliance was at an advantage.
‘Still, I can’t be sure. This is Atlantis. It’s not impossible for one person to massacre a hundred.’
I didn’t know what the outcome would be either. The lawless zone wasn’t even mentioned in the original work, and it was only written in about three lines in the setting book.
The Zerdin Legion’s headquarters were different from other buildings.
It was a collection of buildings that seemed to be made by connecting different types of buildings in different ways, a chaos in itself.
It was like another city within a city.
“It always feels bad to look at it.”
Olivia said, frowning. I nodded and agreed with her.
“Attack!! Attack them!!”
A loud voice filled with anger and hostility was heard not from our side, but from the Zerdin Legion’s side.
Immediately after, arrows and magic flew towards us.
“Ah, damn it. I didn’t expect to get the first hit.”
Olivia kicked a stone at her feet as if she was annoyed.
Neither I nor anyone else here was surprised by the Zerdin Legion’s preemptive attack.
Just as there were mages on their side, there were also mages on our side. Our mages cast defensive magic to block the enemy’s attacks.
They couldn’t keep casting magic forever, so the enemy’s attacks would stop soon. Then, we would charge into the Zerdin Legion. The real war would start then.
“You bastards. Don’t overdo it trying to get credit. Our goal isn’t to take down Zerdin, but to take down Barden. Zerdin is just a bonus. Got it?”
“Yes, Boss.”
“Don’t die in a place like this. I didn’t bring you here to die.”
“Don’t worry, Boss.”
The atmosphere on Olivia’s side was good. Even as an outsider, I could feel their camaraderie.
On the other hand, the side I was on was bleak. The gazes of 200 mercenaries were fixed on my back, but I ignored them. I was just lamenting the fact that there wasn’t a single woman among them.
Eventually, the mercenary captain couldn’t stand it and spoke to me.
“Employer.”
“……What is it.”
“Don’t you have anything to say? The guys are waiting. Please boost their morale.”
“Just do as much as you’re paid for.”
“Ooh! That’s a speech I really like! You bastards! Did you hear that!? He said to do as much as we’re paid for!”
“Ooooooh!”
The mercenaries shouted among themselves, raising their morale. It seemed like they had interpreted what I said in a good way.
I didn’t remember giving a speech at all.
Well, it didn’t matter. I didn’t expect anything in the first place.
‘That guy is Barden.’
I found a man on a high spire-like structure. He was wearing blue clothes and had an eyepatch on his right eye. He was nonchalantly looking at us, smoking a cigarette and striking a pose, despite his situation.
“Let’s go!”
The moment the enemy’s ranged attacks stopped, someone shouted. And we charged towards the Zerdin Legion.
“You ungrateful bastards! How dare you rebel against us who made this area prosperous! You’re worse than beasts!”
“Rebellion? Raised you? That’s a load of crap that even the dogs passing by wouldn’t believe. You bastards!”
“You son of a bitch! Do you know that I slept with your mom?!”
“I slept with your dad! You bastard!”
The residents of the lawless zone were foul-mouthed. It reminded me of a legendary game I used to enjoy. The chat window there was also full of insults about parents.
But this wasn’t a place where only insults were flying around like in a chat window. Swords, spears, axes, and arrows were tearing at each other’s lives amidst the insults.
I ignored everything else and dashed straight towards Barden. If any small fry blocked my path, I immediately punched them.
Heavenly Demon Divine Art (天魔神功) Dragon Fist (竜拳).
Kwaaaang!
The torsos of the six small fry who were blocking my path were blown away by my full-power attack. Heads flew in the air, and guts and blood were scattered on the ground.
The small fry felt fear and pretended not to see me even when they looked at me.
Now that the path was open, I could approach Barden even faster.
“You’re a damn brute. But you’re strong.”
Olivia, who had followed me, said as if she was satisfied.
Barden looked at us. He spat out the cigarette and aimed a gun at me and Olivia.
Revolvers. One in each hand.
“Are you the Heavenly Demon that’s been running around trying to kill me these days? I can tell by the mask you’re wearing. Did Helten tell you to kill me?”
“If you know, die quietly.”
Barden sneered at me.
“Barden! You bastard! Can’t you see me, huh? Do you know how many months I’ve lost sleep because of you?”
“You’re still the same, Olivia. Did you miss me that much?”
“I missed you so much I thought I’d die!”
Bang!
The muzzle of the gun that Olivia was holding suddenly fired.
