## Chapter 0 – I Became Human
Back then, nothing scared me.
I cursed the cowards and stood up against injustice.
If a friend got beat up, I went with them to get revenge, and if a friend had something stolen, I fought to get it back.
I fought so often that the adults were always scolding me. I even heard them telling their kids not to play with me.
I didn’t care. We had our own sense of justice.
No matter what the adults said, we stuck together as one.
But that kind of stupid behavior only worked until elementary school.
You take responsibility for your actions. That obvious rule started to apply to us too.
And when I caused trouble, I wasn’t the only one who got in trouble. The friends who were with me were punished as well.
We couldn’t act according to our own sense of justice anymore. Now we had to follow the rules made by the adults.
The troublemakers scattered.
The smart ones went into studying, and the fast ones went into sports.
Our wildness was suppressed. I, who had been a monkey in the back hills, became socialized.
Like everyone else, I went to school, studied, and got into college.
I became an adult, or you could say I became human.
It wasn’t particularly good or bad. It was just what I had to do.
Now that I was human, I naturally accepted the flow of things.
I had forgotten for a long time. Memories of my monkey days and all.
Until I met her again.
“Hey! Dick King! Aren’t you Dick King?!”
A woman with brightly colored hair, who looked anything but ordinary at first glance.
My childhood friend from my monkey days, had become a woman and appeared before me.
