Chapter 15 – Two Dragon Hearts
Two Dragon Hearts
Yuno focused on the hot mana he felt inside his body.
The energy grew hotter and hotter, gaining momentum as if a fireball was burning.
‘Ugh, I feel like my body is going to explode… I don’t think I can bear it.’
Yuno could no longer endure the hot mana energy emitted as the Dragon Heart melted from her body and opened her mouth to spit out the energy, but came to her senses when she heard Count Richtenauer’s voice coming from behind.
“Your Majesty! You must never open your mouth. What you are feeling right now is mana. You must keep that mana in your body, so please concentrate all your attention.”
Count Liechtenauer slowly guided the energy inside Juno’s body and continued to rotate his upper body in search of a vessel to contain the energy.
‘Hmm… I need to find the location of Your Highness’s mana hole as quickly as possible… If it’s not the heart… If it’s not the stomach… Where on earth…’
The location of the mana hole, where mana is stored, was different for each person, but for most people it was near the heart, and so was Count Liechtenauer himself.
However, Yuno’s mana hole was not located near the heart, so it was moved to the abdomen, another common mana hole location, but no matter how much mana was induced, no place was felt where it was stored.
“Uuuuup…”
Count Liechtenauer moved the mana of the Dragon Heart around to look for the mana hole, but when he could not find it in the ship, a faint moan began to flow from Juno’s mouth.
And since Juno was in pain and sweating profusely, Count Liechtenauer decided to take a step back and took his hand off Juno’s back.
‘Oh… The mana of the Dragon Heart that His Highness the Prince consumed…’
As soon as he released his hand, the mass of mana that the Count was inducing dispersed and spread throughout Yuno’s body. Then, the pain that was bothering Yuno also disappeared, and Yuno’s eyes opened naturally.
“Huu~ Huu… Captain? What happened?”
“Hmm… Your Majesty’s mana holes did not exist in both the heart and abdomen. Just in case, I tried to spread mana to both sides of the chest and neck, but there was no movement to store the mana, so I took a step back, and currently have a dragon heart. The mana seeped into every part of His Highness’s body.”
Count Richtenauer adjusted his breathing and once again placed his hand on Juno’s back to concentrate his mind. Although Dragon Heart’s mana was asleep, the count tried hard to find the location of Yuno’s mana hole, but in the end, the count could not find the mana hole anywhere on Yuno’s upper body.
“Your Highness… I’m sorry. I couldn’t find the mana hole.”
“Then what happened to me?”
“Unfortunately… There are definitely bodies without mana holes… So I don’t think your highness will be able to use mana.”
Juno looked at Count Liechtenauer with an incredibly disappointed face. Currently, Yuno’s body, despite being 12 years old, has withstood an enormous amount of training and is stronger than the knights of the imperial palace.
Therefore, Yuno was confident that if he could only manipulate mana, he would be able to create more explosive power in combination with his strong body and become stronger, and the disappointment of the count’s words that he would not be able to use mana was bound to be even greater.
“… I’m sorry, Your Highness… I’ll try to find a solution first.”
Haha, it’s okay, Captain. What’s the point of a solution if I don’t have a mana hole? I really appreciate you taking the time to help me until midnight tonight.”
Juno calmly greeted Count Liechtenauer and sent him out of the room, saying he needed to spend some time alone.
The Count felt even more sorry to see Yuno like that.
“Whew~ You can control your own mind even in such a bad situation… It’s such a pity that you have such a great body and mind, but you don’t have a mana hole… I was sure that Your Majesty would be a much stronger warrior than me. .”
The Count muttered to himself and left Juno’s room. As soon as he left the room, he saw Empress Yuria walking towards him, so he quickly bowed and bowed.
“It’s okay, Count. Wake up. What about Yuno? What happened to Yuno?”
Empress Yuria, who raised Count Richtenauer to pay her respects, was in a hurry to inquire about her son’s well-being.
Seeing the Empress like that, Count Liechtenauer resented himself for having no choice but to convey the news of her death, but since she could not tell the Empress her lies, she reported the results in detail.
“… I apologize, Empress. It’s all my fault.”
“No, Count. Rather, I should say that I am fortunate that Yuno can no longer go to dangerous places. However… I wonder how much of a loss that child who has been training hard and waiting for today will feel…”
Yuria also knew that Yuno was obsessed with her training, so her heart was extremely bitter.
“Still, Your Majesty didn’t seem to care much. In fact, people without mana holes are quite common, and Your Majesty’s body would be able to subdue a low-level knight from a fairly noble family with just a little bit of skill with a sword.”
‘But… Yuno trained so hard… There’s no way that kid wouldn’t care…’
Count Liechtenauer paid his respects to Yuria and withdrew. Empress Yuria opened the door with her sad face, and her heart was sorely touched by the crying coming from her room.
‘Ah… My son… I was looking forward to this day so much… I’m sorry mom… It’s my mom’s fault for giving birth to a body without a mana hole… I’m sorry Yuno… I’m really sorry mom. ‘
Yuria left her maids who were waiting for her and went into Yuno’s room alone.
Yuno, who had been lying on the bed and crying for a while, had already fallen asleep. Yuria wiped Yuno’s tear-soaked face with her handkerchief and poured the elixir she had brought into her bowl.
“This is an elixir that her mother brought because she was worried that she might overwork her mana today… I don’t think it will help Yuno. But it might help her tired body a little bit…”
The elixir that Yuria brought was an elixir of nourishment and tonic that revitalized her tired body, and she felt sorry for Yuno, who was tired from crying, so she fed the elixir from her bowl to Yuno, who was sleeping, hoping that it would help her body at least a little.
At that moment, a box placed on the table caught her eye. Yuria put down her bowl for a moment and went to the box, where there was a glass bottle with a letter from the Crown Prince congratulating her on her birthday.
Her glass bottle had the words Silver Dragon Heart Diluted Solution written on it, so Yuria mixed it with the elixir she brought and poured it into Yuno’s mouth.
Yuria had no knowledge of herbal medicine, but she had no idea that a gift from the crown prince, who always cared for her Yuno immensely, would be harmful to her. Yuria, without hesitation, gave all of her solutions to her. It flowed through Yuno’s mouth.
“Son… Drink this and cheer up a little. Although it may not be of much help… It contains the mother’s sincerity and the crown prince’s sincerity, so it will help my son cheer up.”
As if the nourishing tonic elixir made by the imperial apothecaries had been effective, Yuno’s breathing became calm, and Yuria felt slightly at ease, so she laid Yuno back on her bed, covered her with a blanket, and left her room. I went back to the empress’ palace.
And as time passed, something strange began to happen inside Yuno’s body.
While Yuno’s half body was hot and sweating profusely, the other half of his body was freezing, and his skin was turning pale.
Yuno woke up in extreme pain, but Yuno had no choice but to endure his pain.
‘Uuuuu hot… And so cold… The left side is so hot I can’t stand it, but the right side feels like I’m freezing to death…’
The mana absorbed into the body from the dragon heart consumed earlier, and the mana contained in the solution of the dragon heart consumed later collided with each other and fought over Yuno’s body.
The two manas that took turns occupying Yuno’s body continued to fight as they repeatedly attacked and retreated, and each time, Yuno’s body had to experience burning pain and freezing pain alternately depending on which mana was dominant. 〈 Br〉
‘Oh my… This is how you die… You damn god!! What? That sounds like the best body in the human race! What kind of body can’t even handle mana… Ugh… It’s unfair. This cadet is like this…’
Finally, Yuno felt the two mana collide loudly within his body and lost consciousness with the thought of dying.
And at that moment, the energy of the elixir given by Yuria moved and penetrated between the two huge chunks of mana. The two mana, hot and cold, rushed to eat the medicinal energy of the newly appeared nourishing tonic and began to mix with each other. The mana that gathered together in a huge amount through the medicinal energy wandered around Yuno’s body and opened the mana hole from the place where the elixir energy flowed. After discovering it, it settled down stably.
Thanks to Empress Yuria’s sincerity, Yuno’s mana practice ended with miraculous success.
