Chapter 13 – Investigation (6)
I arrived in front of a library that I had never been to because I was busy making a living.
“I hope we can find at least a small clue. Let’s split the roles and look for them. I will look for the Chrome Shade region and the Aslan Empire. Ellie, do you want to look for clues that suggest it may be someone who came across here?”
“Yes. I will definitely find out.”
Ellie said as if she would come with her desperate determination.
When we entered the library, we separated from each other and began to do our own research.
First, I checked the chrome shade.
Perhaps it would be easier to find if you looked at a local map?
But after looking at the map, I realized that wasn’t the case.
It was my first time looking at the world map properly, and even after a quick search, there was no area called Chrome Shade.
At first, I looked all the way from the tip of the continent as the stone tablet said.
But no matter how much I look, there is nothing.
What.
I looked around the entire continent to see if it had changed due to some tectonic shift, but there was nothing.
Isn’t this guy’s area name confusing?
However, I don’t think he was an idiot if he rose to the level of imperial emperor.
However, there is clearly no area called Chrome Shade on the current map.
Then I remembered that the imperial calendar was used to engrave letters on stone tablets.
Isn’t it because it was so long ago that the name of the area changed?
Rather than finding out where Chrome Shade is, it would be better to find out about Aslan’s empire first.
I went to a place where old history was organized, and when I looked, there were books related to the Aslan Empire in the corner.
I looked at the contents of the book with an anxious mind…
The Aslan Empire was an empire that collapsed roughly 2,000 years ago!
They say that even rivers and acids change in 10 years, but 2,000 years ago?
It’s so old.
This is why I can’t see it…
About 2,000 years is enough time for the original regional names to be overturned.
I need to check out some information about the Aslan Empire.
There was information about the power of the first emperor who founded the Aslan Empire being the greatest of all time, and that he split the land with a single attack, but there was no mention of it coming from the game.
He probably didn’t reveal that he had crossed over.
Just like a typical history book, the story goes that they lived well and then perished.
There is no specific information that it came from another world.
Still, the one piece of information obtained is the chrome shade location information.
There was information about demons in the book here and their locations were explained in detail.
The Empire was located in the center of this continent, and Chrome Shade is said to have been the northern region at the time.
The final destination was set to be north.
From now on, I plan to do whatever it takes to summon the characters I raised as much as possible.
Time passed so quickly while I was checking this.
It’s already time for dinner.
I hope Ellie finds a clue, but she doesn’t really have any expectations.
“I think I found a clue.”
There is a saying:
I was betrayed because I expected it in the first place!
Conversely, unexpected good news makes you even happier!
“Oh! What is it? It’s time for dinner, so let’s talk while eating.”
We went inside the restaurant we went to yesterday, and before our meal was served, Ellie began explaining what she had researched.
“I thought that if a person from our world had come over here, he would have felt like a being beyond human by the standards of people here. So, I focused on looking for records of such a person.”
Having worked with Ellie so far, I feel fortunate that she is really capable.
In the game, if I had brought in a character whose strength was at 100 but whose intelligence was at 1, it would have been helpful in battle, but I would have felt like I was going to catch cancer and die in everyday life.
It doesn’t mean that such a character actually exists.
“There are a total of two people who discovered it that way. I think there was a person called the Sword Master and the Archmage who appeared a thousand years ago.”
Sword Master and Archmage?
First of all, I don’t think there was such a job in Elyon.
I think the Sword Master is probably a character with a profession called Sword Saint, and the Archmage is probably an Elemental Master.
“Did you know where those people were?”
“Yes. Fortunately, the record was cut off at a place not far from here, so it is said that he died there. The location was Turchen Castle.”
Turchen Castle is a place you can reach after traveling by carriage for about 5 days from here.
“Okay, then we have to move to Turchen Castle next. But before that, let’s get up to D rank.”
“Is there really a need for that? Isn’t there an adventurer’s guild there?”
“That’s not true. However, adventurer guilds in other regions do not share what the adventurer did. If you go to Turchen Castle, the record of the quest you did today will be lost.”
“I thought, if the level of difficulty is this high, you can do 6 at a time in a day. Wouldn’t it be okay if the two revisions disappear?”
Ellie was not wrong.
“It’s not wrong. But the guild over there that doesn’t know about us might not approve the quest as much. If we do that, we might have to do one quest a day, so let’s quickly raise us to D rank from the adventurer guild in this town that knows about us. “I thought it would be better to move on.”
“I see. Then, I will quickly raise you to D rank.”
“Okay, let’s get more tomorrow.”
We made dinner and went to get Ellie some clothes that she would be comfortable wearing.
She can’t keep wearing armor.
“I’m sorry I can’t buy you something expensive yet.”
“No. I don’t mind anything as long as Jinunim gives me.”
I went to a clothing store where I could get it cheaply.
From there, I chose simple clothes with plain patterns.
It’s funny that at first, my breasts were so big that it took me a while to find clothes that were the right size.
We returned to the hotel early, took a quick shower, and changed clothes in the room like yesterday.
If I were in the old world, I would have just lied in bed and used my phone, but in this wonderful world, of course, there was no such thing.
With nothing else to do, I laid down on the bed and Ellie followed suit and lay down next to me.
“I want to meet you soon…”
“Me too. When we returned to the guild after work, we always talked about Jinu.”
I think the same goes for me. If you sympathize with each other about the unknown entity that strengthens you and imagine what it is like, you will probably lose track of time while talking.
“It’s my story… What did you say?”
“We talked to each other about what kind of existence Jinunim might be. It was found that neither the gods of ordinary religions nor the gods of creation directly intervene in our lives to this degree, but Jinunim directly gave us power. And each time he gave it, it was much more powerful. It was powerful.”
Yes, all of that is the result of pouring money into the game rankings.
“There was talk that he might be even greater than the God of Creation, but I said that was going too far. I think that’s what Elsha said, because she really liked Jinu.”
“You said Elsha was Rogue, right? Her new name was definitely… Uh… Sweet_1021, right?”
Someone might have asked why the character was named something like that.
But I didn’t make this. The operator was warned and the change was forced.
In Elyon, if a character’s name is reported too far out of bounds by another user or caught by an administrator, a first warning is given. If the character name is still the same, the administrator forcibly changes the character’s name and prevents it from being changed at all.
I usually change it to “Good Mal_0000” But that’s what caught me too.
Probably because my job was a rogue and I was an assassin, the name I gave myself was ‘Pick me from behind’, but they complained that it was sensational, so I was forced to change it to that.
But when Elsha is summoned and called by that name, if she reacts like Ellie…
It might be a good thing that it was changed.
“Yes, that’s right. Elsha liked that new name. Elsha’s biggest pride was that she was the only one among us to change her new name once.”
“Why are you bragging about that?”
“At first, I thought that my name was Rogue, but when I changed it, I thought that God truly cared for me. The expression that I was a noble seed of God and the number at the end of my name were the same as the date when I gave my power to Elsha.” “It’s something to be proud of.”
How do you interpret it so that a good word becomes a seed of a good god?
The number at the end is a number added randomly by the operator. What kind of coincidence is this?
“Still, are you going to be disappointed when you see me now?”
“No! That will never happen!”
The moment Ellie heard those words, she jumped up and said.
“I’m surprised… Is that much?”
I also got up and sat down.
Then Ellie held my hand with both of hers and looked at her face.
“Jinu. As you said, you may think that you are very weak right now and that you do not have anything outstanding. However, there is no need to humble yourself too much. No matter what you are now, it is because of you that we are where we are.” “But it is impossible for me to come over here and be disappointed when I see Jinu.”
Ellie looked at me with her beautiful green eyes and spoke to me, but at that moment, I was stunned without even realizing it.
“Thank you for thinking that much, Ellie. It’s embarrassing to see a beautiful woman like you look at me like this;;”
When she heard me, Ellie’s face gradually became red as she realized the situation at the moment.
But she didn’t let go of the hands she was holding and looked intently at my face.
Uh… Is this really possible?
So our faces slowly got closer and our lips met.
